I think more of the relationships created would be genuine. Ive know so many men get into relationships because they feel they cannot do any better and they actually feel they settled. It was one of my biggest fears with getting married.

I think it would allow men to clear their heads and be in a much better mental state tbh. Maybe cause I'm observing outside of the straight dating pool but it seems like so many men allow their personalities, lifestyles, interests, and activities bent on intending on pleasing women. Straight dating seems so hierarchal and superficial.

it's like law firms colluding to pay all lawyers minimum wage because they think lawyers make too much money. sure, it could happen in theory, but it would require ALL firms to collude which is pretty much impossible. Also the firms who still pay market rate, will get all the best lawyers which leaves the companies who do pay minimum wage worse off.

I assume by 'giving attention to women' you mean a world where women could no longer use the hypothetical promise of sex with them to get anything other than sex.

Then you'd just see women going after the men they are more or less instantly attracted to. Because men, outside the context of a relationship, in this world, won't give them any other attention.

Of course, it could lead to women developing themselves in similar ways men do, thus meriting said attention for reasons other than the hypothetical promise of sex with them. Thus, male and female friendships would be more commonplace and equally beneficial for both parties.

Because women have developed in a similar way men have to, it's quite possible they could come to appreciate many different types of men.

So I don't know. Could be hell could be heaven.

This is easily verified past a certain age, say 35-40. Women, even attractive ones, get way less harassed by men then .I don't know what other women that age do but "making the first move" at least online, has not given me any real results since covid. And I don't like "classic tall masculine bearded tatted massive blokes" so yeah. I think women who aren't constantly harassed detach themselves mostly from the dating market?

It depends upon whether the men in a women’s league still put in effort to be attractive even though they ignore women.

If they do put in the work, then women will eventually seek out these men after they are used for sex by much higher value men, or if some women don’t pursue casual sex, then they’ll seek out the men in their league once they feel lonely enough.

But if the men in their league don’t put any work to be attractive, then women will just ignore these men. It is essential for average men to put some work into being attractive. They are not attractive when they are just uninspired slobs.

I went to a majority women university so I've lived this. Women made first moves a lot more and pursued men a lot more. Less attractive men got to date much more. Most men didn't get into relationships, but dated causally. Women tried really hard to get men to commit and they wouldn't. It was also southern california so most people were more attractive than average.

Dating after graduating was a shock. I could never get guys as cute in college as I did after.

Take a look at what happened back in the day. If it wasn't for sex, then it would have been for children, extending the bloodline, combining resources, etc.

Nothing much. Simping is overblown as any kind of phenomenon. Unless you're using it as men giving any attention or kindness to women at all which is a way the term is frequently misused, in which case, I'd expect relationships to decrease quite dramatically.

We're seeing it now. I mentioned this before, but over the summer, there was a singles night at a bar. Only women showed up. Not a single man showed up. It went viral because one of the women there TikToked from it. She scanned the outside patio, and every table had just one woman sitting alone at it. Not a single man in sight.

Also, speed-dating events have been getting cancelled with more and more frequency lately because the ratio of women to men signing up has been in the range of 5:1.

Segue: Say what you will about men giving up or maybe not putting in the effort as of late. Those are the symptoms. The cause is that given the choice of going through all the effort and investment of maybe having a date with woman who might be pleasant, or staying at home and enjoying junk food and stuff you know you enjoy, a lot of good eligible men are choosing the latter. The former is too risky. The latter is a sure thing. This is especially the case when a man just doesn't have the gumption to be publicly judged or interrogated either while on a date, or when approaching a woman. Is this the men taking an easy way out? Naw, just the less risky.

In both of my true examples above, the editorial from the women involved ranged from disappointment, to quandary, to anger. Given that this happens enough times, and word spreads, women will realize that instead of putting their effort towards those events, they would get better results if they just approached men instead.

I think Scenario 3 is most likely:

Women mostly don't care. They're happy to explore life with or without a man, and frankly, it's typically (not always) much easier not to have a man. I'm sure they'll keep their eyes open for a fella, but if he never tips his hat nbd. They'll have fulfilling relationships with each other, children, animals, and family.

The thing is, most women aren't appreciative or seeking orbiters or piles of attention. Not something most of us want just being honest. .

So if you take away these men they thought were their friends, you'll just get the results of men and women interacting less. Which it seems like generally women will be fine with.

I think a lot of men would be a hell of a lot happier, and would be able to focus on other things.

There would be a lot of women who would be angry about not getting attention and make arguments as to why men should give women more attention, but finding a roundabout way to say it (i.e. Men not paying attention to women is a form of internalized misogyny)

There would also be a lot of women who genuinely don't want any male attention and would be much happier about this.

There would be some women who'd make the first move on men creating many occurrences of scenario 2.

There would be a small minority of women who make the first move who are looking for monogamy.

Overall, the birthrate would absolutely plummet lol

I think women would have more mental health problems or at least different ones. But I don’t think they’d pick up the male role. If womens sexuality is responsive than women might just not feel horny very often without men constantly trying to make them horny.

Women are reluctant to make the first move at least in large part because they have been socialized to take a more passive role in dating. So much so that it’s talked about often enough in lesbian circles to have a term for it. I think even if men didn’t act so desperate, women would still not approach equally. That would take a wide scale change in our entire social culture including how romantic relationships are portrayed in the media.

The multi billion dollar online dating industry would be decimated along with the jewelry industry..Realestate would take a big hit yo ad many men would chose simple homes as they don't plan to have a family abd don't care about impressing women.The travel and tourism industry would see sharp declines along with anything in the hospitality sector hotels restaurants massage parlors..As men wont be going on dates or trips because they generally do these things for women or with women.

Film industry would suffer massively as most movies are woke feminist propaganda and men only go because they take a women.

Shelters would be overwhelmed as many women would be forced into homelessness as men either left them or put them out and women couldn't afford the bills.

On the bright side domestic violence, homicide and crime in general would go down probably less pollution to as less people travel

And hopefully menn would focus on creating nuclear fission and achieving the singularity

Women, for the most part, don't really give a shit about pursuing sex or working for a relationship. If it falls on their lap and they like it, they will entertain it. If it doesn't and they don't, they won't have much problem with it. Women simply do not derive value from sex as men do and in modern times, the value they used to derive from being in a LTR has also massively decreased. It's mostly men who will suffer from it, as they always do when it comes to sexual market.

It's a subpar solution. If men's currency is attention, and women's is sex, it'd be better if they both could be given freely and enthusiastically.

I don't think my husband would like it if I started limiting our sex life, and I would hate it if he paid me less attention. I would imagine women would be much less interested in dating if attention was harder to come by. Less likely to download dating apps. Similar to how men would react if casual/uncommitted sex was taken off the table.

The problem isn't the tool. It's that some people use them poorly. These men and women would be wise to use a strategy of incremental reciprocation with prospective partners, in the hopes of finding someone who gives back as much as they're getting. It's much smarter than to throw everything you've got at a stranger and hope they treat you well.

Male desirability would skyrocket, especially since social media has conditioned many women into feeling entitled to large amounts of male attention. This would put many women in a position where they have to decide between cleaning up their act to gain the interest of high quality men or continue to be toxic and grow more and more depressed. Too bad most men now are absolutely pathetic and have no control over their urges so this scenario will never happen in our lifetime.
