NOTE: I'm NOT giving medcal advice, but suggesting to find medcal advice that may include the treatment I'm talking about. Talk to your doctors, not to reddit.

A lot of issues with loneliness and dating are being suffered by both men and women, but it is well known that women are more eager to take care of their mental health. I don't judge men because I don't think talk therapy is as useful for men as for women... men often want to create, build something, to feel better, not just talk... not saying there is nothing wrong with talk therapy, but clearly it is more female oriented.

I think men like me should take antidepressants if they feel rejected and unloved:

  1. The dating market for men is fucked. They have to compete with way more men because internet, and women are more open to share men or stay single if they don't get the very top men they want. Many men depend on women to feel complete, so it makes sense to find alternative artificial routes to be happy meanwhile... such as pills, not just p*orn or video games, which can also help.
  2. Antidepressants can help with social anxiety and feelings of rejection, giving men an edge and not making them look more desperate, maybe even giving them another chance with women.
  3. Most men are not desirable. Drugs can help men cope with this reality. Women shall welcome this as they have brothers and sons that will never be loved from now on, so it makes sense for them to support a scientific cope mechanism.
  4. The argument "it is not natural" is stupid in the times when nothing is natural anymore.

Truth is that older undesirable women already took this path, so men can do the same.
