I just assume men are talking about how they feel a lack of reciprocity. Meaning they are the ones who ask women on dates, they feel expected to pay, expected to entertain etc

Sure. Women arent a monolith. So there are some shitty and/or entitled women out there. But entitlement is also a perspective.

What for some people is entitlement is for others the bare minimum. This is just a matter of compatibility.

I had people tell me I am coming across as entitled because I expect regular conversations. I also expect physical connection and that my partners make an effort for me to enjoy sex. Ive seen people on this subreddit saying this is entitled because I am responsible for my own pleasure.

In the end all of this comes down to what you prioritise in a relationship and if it is compatibility with the person you are with. Thats just a basic thing for any relationship.

Modern day women definitely feel more entitled to men's money from the beginning even though theyre complete strangers. I personally find that CRAZY. And also embarrassing. Because, are you a bum, ma'am?

Also, men will choose a certain type of woman back to back to back and then blame all women by saying "all women are like this" which is just them trying to avoid personal responsibility for their choices. You see the same with women. If its the case that you encounter a very similar type of person over and over again, it is not the case that these people are the norm.

It is the case that you subconsciously filter them in and lack severely in self awareness.

Saying some people do anything makes sense. There are some people who do all sorts of things ranging from murder to becoming monks/ nuns and devoting their life to charity.

The problem is when men generalize women as a whole as being extremely superficial about appearance and money.

Usually, men aren’t saying “some women are entitled”. They are saying “women are entitled” and proceed to write a rant. I have been called entitled for saying that I want a man who is taller than me, even though statistically like 90%+ or men are taller than me. I also have been called an entitled gold digger I said a man needs to have a decent job. I also have seen men call women who want to be or who are homemakers entitled leeches.

i don't even understand the weird lefto-feminist concept "entitlement", if you want soemthing a lot and get annoyed you didnt get it, i don't see how that translates into thinking youre "entitled" to it. expectations arent entitlement. why cant we just use the regular words. Some women have expectations, desires and standards, they get upset when other people don't meet them. oh well? so what? why does that need a word

if a woman "expects" that men pay for a date and drop a man for not paying for a date, that doesnt means she feels "entitled" to be paid for, it means she wants soemthign from other peopel and wont settle for less, she doesnt have to , she can stay alone forever who cares

I think expecting princess treatment and rolling out the red carpet for a first date is a little excessive. I think honestly it sets expectations too high for both parties. When you can do drinks and something small to get a feel for one another.

Drinks or shared activities means you can spend time together plan something and it's effort. Without having to break the bank or get locked into a dinner with someone you don't like.

But princess treatment is like begging to be love bombed or that your attention has a price tag.

It does make sense because I know certain women who act that way in real life. Typically those women are really hot but there are women who used to be hot who let themselves go and didn’t lower their standards. Unfortunately they could have been attractive well into their thirties and forties. I recently went to a bachelorette party and there was no drinking because the bride did not want to deal with crazy behavior but of course that couldn’t happen as one chick managed to eat cheese until she vomited. Im a sympathy vomiter so I had to leave immediately because I cannot smell bile and don’t want to just sit and watch people eat bovine mammory excrements either. They accused me of being fat phobic at breakfast because I was mindful of the things I eat (I’m vegan but also conscious about health) and wanted to exercise as a group activity afterwards. These women couldn’t even walk up a hill (except me and the bride). The bride ended up annoyed because that fattie kept trying to argue with me about how I’m fat phobic when I talk about facts if they related to health. Which made no sense and of course they were all single and talked about men and I was shocked at the kinds of men they thought would be in their league considering the current state of their bodies.

Some people raised in centain ways have certain entitled views. It's just how those people end up. Most of us who have gone through the regular-degular co-ed schooling systems would have met or have even been friends with girls that have very demanding personalities.

I think we are entitled overall because we aren’t grateful enough for the attention we get. Most men’s experience is so different from even a low SMV woman, and we typically take it for granted. Even though it’s really important to me to celebrate the ways I’m lucky, it’s hard to remember when attention is such a given. A lot of women even resent the attention even when it isn’t inappropriate. It shows so little compassion for people who aren’t as lucky.

Yeah I think its true. Cause I see a lot of stupid shit posted by women on social media. To be fair IDK how much of this is real. I've seen sooo many women claim that you are the prize just for being a woman—because being seen with you adds his social value, because you're putting yourself at risk by going out with a man— so you deserve to have all your needs met and paid for. Dumbest shit ever. And the worst part is, they act like "normal" woman are below them and lack self-respect for being willing to do 50/50 or whatever

Women aren't a monolith, to reiterate. But we do tend, anecdotally, to expect to know the person at least a bit before engaging in anything else. It's not about dating by default (by which I mean smalltalking over lukewarm lasagna at a local diner), it's about spending valueable time together, maybe in a friend group doing something you all love or at a loud public venue banging your heads to some metal tunes. It doesn't have to count as dating per se, but it's nice to know another person better before jumping into bed with him.

I think these are the men who do things expecting things in return. "I was good to her so she WILL be good to me" sometimes it's not genuine "nice ness" but being nice in the hopes that they get good things in return. They feel women are entitled to dating because they date women who take advantage of these niceties but offer nothing in return. Date enough women like that and eventually you will start thinking "all women are like that" because of the select few they surround themselves with.

What do you mean “does it make sense”? Do i understand what men mean? Do i agree?

If the former then different men mean different things, or even same men can say this about different things, so i’ll usually ask (if i care) to know what exactly does he mean. If the later then sometimes. I know that some women demand something they are not owed and it seems unreasonable imo. But i also know that men are allergic to women’s standards. I had this conversation in real life and here and where did i not have it. Also i’ve head that about men needing to approach, and that’s confusing as fuck. Do you want to approach or not? If you’re not interest then don’t, but why should she if she isn’t interested?

In short people have a right to have any preferences they want if they take responsibility for them and know that it limits their pool. People also have to take responsibility for what they want, and know that they need something to do to achieve it, and complaining about it wont help.
