I was molested by my neighbor when I was 3-6. He used porn as a tool. I mean I'm friendly with him now and he's off opiates, but it will never be the same.

I have two step cousins who have never been referred to as step cousins. They are my cousins. I have an older half sister. She is my sister. We just don't use terms like half of step in my family. As a single mother this is a big part of why I will never have a blended family situation. There is far too much risk to my daughter for me to even consider it, the proliferation of incest porn is shocking and disturbing. Not to mention parents differing views on internet access and privacy for children, it would be very difficult to enforce different boundaries when you have two sets of children bouncing between 4 homes. My daughter isn’t old enough to browse the internet yet, but when she is it will only be on properly set up devices with parental controls and blocks in communal areas of the home, I was allowed to go on my computer/laptop alone in my room which was a long way away from other areas of the house and was exposed to so much porn at a young age through MSN. I got sent amputee porn, old man orgies and the infamous 2 girls 1 cup as a tween/young teenager. Thankfully my parents didn’t let me have a webcam as so many of my peers were coerced into stripping by boys and those videos got sent round multiple schools.

I also won’t be living with a man, even one without children, while she is still at home, I think it is so unfair to impose living with an unrelated adult male on children even if they aren’t a predator. Some may disagree, but I think once you have children they have to come first, and sadly peadophiles target single mothers and will have incentive to seem normal for as long as it takes to get access to your children.
