Aside from just being attractive and tall (y'all are soooo original /s), there are ways that I've realized for guys that I've used and seen others use to varying degrees of efficacy

Be good with words: It's simple really. It's an advantage to speak in a way that implies or shows off your wit and verbal skill. It makes you more likely to stand out in a woman's mind. Confidence and swagger in your speech patterns are part of this. And this isn't about education level or accent, either. It's the delivery
On that note: speak decisively and not just to fill in the air. This is a lesson I learned the hard way. Idle chitchat that accomplishes nothing can seem harmless, but it can dry a woman up quickly and propel you into friend territory. ("accomplishes nothing" is very circumstantial, too, and what counts as idle chitchat in one scenario might've been perfect to say in another scenario)
In some cases, being a loudmouth can also serve very well. It's literal to the bone; project your voice and make it be heard. But be a decisive loudmouth. Again, don't speak just to fill the air in
- In my case, speaking (respectfully) loudly is often a part of conveying my humor.
Know how to play with physical niches. Over time, I've noticed certain physical "types" tend to be attracted to each other more often than others, and I'm not sure why, but I usually end up being right in a lot of cases
- For instance, someone like me is more likely to attract a petite Latina than some Scarlett-Johansson esque chick
Most importantly is know how to play with economic and social niches as well.

For men: having a positive outlook on life and also being out and about where people are. A lot of men just sit around at home (like me!)

For women: ask men out more. If you really want a relationship you have to look in the corners. The lights of the party usually make for poor partners as they crave attention. Most men are quite clumpsy in approaching so going for what you want is a plus.

You don’t have to stand out in a crowd of IG models (or cheerleaders, or pageant girls or models or dancers). Actually, on a shoot I usually adjust my makeup, outfit, stance, shoes so that I look more uniform to the other women, if slightly different. When we get dressed to go out with friends, we don’t want to be the hottest friend and get singled out. And it’s absolutely terrifying to be the hottest girl in the club!

Here’s how a guy can get noticed (the ones with stars are the ones I see guys needing to work on most often)

-If he’s looking at me. In a room/club full of men who are talking to friends, drinking, dancing, hanging out…the one who is looking at me is the one I notice first, especially if he makes some gesture of appreciation. Like you walk in, a guy looks over at you and tips his glass. In Texas some guys will tip their hat. 🤤

-You/your friend don’t consider it “taking one for the team” when you talk to my friend. If I say “I can’t hang out with you because I don’t want to leave my friend alone”…and you call a friend to hang out with her…and he ignores her? Now you made my friend sad and I’m sleeping over at her place and not yours. Make my friends happy. *

-your female friends opinions have no place here. Want to kill my lady boner? Tell me again what your female friend who has been your bestie for years thinks of “girls like me”*

-don’t play yourself. Example one time I was out with my cousins and I met a really sweet guy and got his number. One of my cousins who is very hot and a complete mess from hell got too drunk and started acting foolish. I left the club with him draped over my shoulder and tried to catch the sweet guy’s eye to tell him to call me and he gave me the DIRTIEST look of pure rage. He only contacted me to call me a bunch of names because from his perspective I rejected his advances and left the club with the incredibly hot guy all the girls were hitting on 🙄 I could have explained but didn’t want to spend the rest of my life explaining. I have a lot of cousins lol *

-come at her on her level. I don’t want the same kind of guy as a stoner girl who wears blankets as clothes. My soccer player cousin dates soccer players. My daredevil uncle dates daredevils. I don’t go after guys who own dirt bikes because I’m not a fan of mud splatter or diesel.

-be nice to everyone. Not just people you want to have sex with. *

-if you’re going to come off as desperate, be desperate for love and commitment, not sex

-take a shower and wash your ass.

-wear cologne but don’t overdo it. Honestly some deodorants are so strong they’re enough on their own.

-be respectful but also an ass, just not to her. If a guy is too respectful it’s hard to know if he’s interested. If he never says anything or touches me I just assume he really doesn’t like me that way. And I’m usually right since I’ve often seen the same guy being over the top attracted to some other girl.

-commit, even if it’s just for a month. Or at least don’t let her see you hitting on someone else

-know when you’re getting played for free stuff or cash and when a girl is genuinely interested

-if a girl decides to date you don’t insult her for it. Even if you think you’re insulting yourself, saying stuff like “I never thought anyone would be pathetic enough to date me” insults her too. And makes her question her choice.

-Make dates interesting. Personally I hate sitting across a table from someone staring at them. I’d fall instantly in love with any guy who took me to do something fun, like take an art class or go sailing. It’s never happened, but I WOULD.*

-be brilliant at what you’re brilliant at. Don’t try to fake skills.

-don’t ignore girls who are obviously into you. They’ll be the most loyal.

-love makes people more attractive. If she’s plain, you can always buy her a hot dress and take her to Sephora.

-don’t be ashamed of what’s “wrong” with you. So many guys avoided asking me out until I found out their “secret”: like this one guy who used to ignore me at the gym making me think he was a superior snob until I met him volunteering in a soup kitchen line. Then he could ask me out because I knew his situation and still thought he was cute. *

-boasting has never worked. Actions speak louder than words

-Any one woman can only give you so much advice. I know how guys have gotten me. Maybe my friends. I don’t know how they get girls who for example, smoke a lot of weed. I don’t know how girls get guys like our hot rich friend who literally stares off into space when I talk while acknowledging everyone else in the conversation. I don’t know why sometimes people become obsessed with people who would never want them. The way a lot of people approach dating reminds me of like…if a melanin girl like me decided to exclusively date neo-nazis. Granted, I dated one once. Holy shit that was scary. Never again.

But I’m not going to go after these dudes.

This has honestly been the most annoying one for me. Men who want a woman who LOOKS like me so they lie about having the same interests as me and waste a lot of my time. It feels extremely unfair and the more men lie and manipulate the harder it becomes to trust any of them. And then you see subs like PUA and it drives home that every cute thing they did to get you was a lie and a manipulation, not them being honest and cute.

I think men (yes all men, not all my friends are supermodels) would benefit the most from being honest with others and themselves. And being more patient.

Most guys who scare me off do it by obsessing over when I will have sex with them.

pay attention to their appearance — groom and dress well
learn the art of swagger — confident, laid back, cool as a cucumber like whatever happens you were expecting it — nothing can throw you off
learn the various types of game and how to detect which one works on different types of women in different situations: seduction, playfulness, sensitivity, etc.

Do a lot of women feel they have to compete with IG models in the first place? I guess if you use Instagram, it affects your perception, but I wouldn't say a lot of people in my social circle pursue IG models. They have their own community of influencers and whatnot.

I know two men who pursue(d) IG popular girls - one married my cousin who has IG as a professional page where she shows off her skills as dance teacher, and another guy goes not for models, but for girls with this classic IG look - blonde, made lips and brows etc. Girls who often seek some...financial retribution from their partners.

Overall, I think both men and women stand out by being mature somewhat successful adults who are kind and compassionate towards others. Then, again, being kind doesn't mean having no spine.

I would say be willing to listen and show empathy towards other groups of people’s problems and not just your owns. (Other gender’s, races, sexualities, etc).

A lot of people have a “we have it worst” mentality without ever trying to genuinely understand others experiences. It’s not a competition, there is enough problems go around for everyone.

Also, being misogynistic or misandrist is a red flag for most people of opposite gender. No one wants to date someone who hates their entire group of people.

I’m not saying to be a simp or pick me and put on a performative act, but genuinely try to understand others.

As a man, I don’t think men really groom themselves enough. Like get your eyebrows waxed, shape your facial hair and dye it darker, wear cologne, dress a little more edgy.

I’ve done that stuff, took the metropill, and the change in my success with women was very noticeable.

Lots of guys who post their picture on forums like this will look fine, it’s just they dress bland and just get whatever haircut is easiest to maintain
