You see this kind of content everywhere, and I speak from experience as someone who has watched plenty and felt good about it before. I've come to the conclusion now, however, that this sort of thing only harms men. Yes, it feels good to watch. The more content about how bad men have it and how bad women are and that sort of thing that I watched, however, the more I came to decide that it accomplished nothing.

This sort of content feels good in the way that having a bowl of ice cream or three microwave burritos covered in cheese and sour cream feels good. It's transitory, empty, devoid of any true value outside of a quick rush of dopamine that briefly makes us feel justified in our negative feelings. Unfortunately, I think most things that make us feel good are not good for us, and this sort of content is no different.

I'm sure there exists somewhere a man who could have an argument for saying genuinely and definitively that this sort of content meant to evoke feelings of having been wrong in some way by women, society, or any number of other things has truly spurred him to make some changes that result in a subjectively "better" experience of life. However, I think for most, the ultimate conclusion of falling too deep into this content will be the same: You will spiral into an endless cycle of depression, finding someone to blame, feeling good from righteous indignation, and then inevitably back into depression when the transient nature of those good feelings inevitably result in you being left with nothing again. Before you know it, a not insignificant portion of your life has passed you by, and so has the world. Because at the end of the day, whatever you are angry about, whoever you are angry at, they are not going to know or care. You aren't even going to get a glance and a shrug. There will be no conclusion, no release, no closure.

I'd like to see some discussion on whether or not this form of content is valuable or not. I am averse to naming names or any real specifics because doing so makes me uncomfortable, but I think that we are all familiar with this sort of thing, enough to find plenty of it very easily. So, I'll pose a specific question:

Guys that actively watch this sort of thing, what do you believe you gain from doing so?
