I would rather marry a nerdy tech geek, as long as he’s funny and makes great company. An NBA player would no doubt be a cheater and his schedule would be too demanding of his time. Not to mention, I have no interest in basketball and I don’t want to have to attend his games.

Main athletes I wouldn't date are the ones from concussion/violence sports, like football, boxing, etc. I wouldn't marry or hook up with a person with brain damage who does violence as a career.

Sigh, I’m sure you actually mean “question for attractive beautiful women”, where I’ve never been anything better than just mediocre looking. But I can answer anyways, I guess.

NBA player is too tall. I am legit more attracted to men close to my own height. (Also on a practical note, an NBA player travels all the time so I’d never get to spend time with him anyways. And I don’t enjoy watching basketball. So I’d be bored to death by this guy probably.).

I have not dated much, but I have only ever dated stem nerds partly because I am a stem nerd myself. I have also only ever married or had sex with a stem nerd… but he is also way more interested in sports than me.

No hookups. Yuck.

The nerdy tech guy is the answer to all but I'm trying to think of how I could find myself wanting anything with the NBA guy to give you all something to chew on and make this discussion interesting.

I guess if the NBA guy approached me I would definitely feel flattered and enjoy the attention and I can see myself hooking up with him for the adventure of it because that's so far from who I would pick to have sex with. I don't have frequent casual sex but I'm not opposed to it, so that isn't saying a whole lot. If it was a situation in which the nerdy guy and the NBA guy both were vying for my attention and I had an equal amount of chemistry with both, I might choose the NBA guy for a similar reason. But I would never pursue the NBA guy myself and it is very difficult for me to imagine having any kind of chemistry with a famous athlete. I don't fuck anyone that I couldn't have a satisfying conversation with, and I'm picky about that. I tried having sex with people I have nothing in common with when I was very young and that sex sucked and I always felt kinda regretful about it.

I don’t understand how that is enough information for anyone to answer this question. I have dated an Olympic athlete and married the nerdy IT guy. I had a vision for my future and only one of them fit that vision perfectly and it had nothing to do with career path.. That isn’t how I decide who I want to marry or have sex with. I would not have hooked up with either guy.

In order for me to eliminate someone for their career path it would have had to been a career that requires constant moving, spending long periods away from home or dangerous.

I would much prefer the tech geek for dating/marriage. Seems like more balanced, happy, stable,secure and well rounded life with him that with the NBA guy.

9-5, so he's home for sex and cuddles everyday. With fun regular date nights. Financial secure so money isn't a worry. Great option.

Probably the NBA player because I'd prefer a man who's active, works out a lot, etc. I kinda recently got into fitness, and a sedentary lifestyle is off-putting for me now. I spend most of my free-time taking walk, working out and prepping healthy meals. And I'd like it if a partner would be into that kinda stuff as well. Even if he's not very smart I wouldn't care. I'm more attracted to men who use their bodies than men who use their brains.

Also I kinda hate modern technology, I've gone analog with most things. I don't use apps and don't use any social media aside from Reddit, I still watch DVD's and I whine a lot about new technology inventions. So I dunno how much joy I'd get from dating a tech geek tbh, or how much joy he'd get from dating me. I feel like there are conflicting life goals there.

Well, I'm 36. So I'd choose the logical stable option of the nerdy tech geek.

Even when I was in college I was never interested in the "star player" types of men because I wasn't interested in begging anyone for affection. I purposely chose men with physical traits most women didn't go for. The idea of dating or fucking a man who took longer to get ready than me and was more vain than me was a huge no.
