This situation should not have even been seen have seen as a perp/victim situation, but a couple of teens engaging in behavior that is the reason parents keep track of their relationships in the first place - a reason the parents should sit the kids down and talk about reproductive responsibility and careful guarding of one's privacy. In fact, if anyone should be filing charges against anyone, it's the boy's parents, because he did nothing until the girl sent him sexually explicit photos. Women and girls are socially accepted and asserted (especially by feminists) as the gatekeepers to sexual intimacy, and in general it's the gal's decision how far things will go and what is or is not acceptable. Essentially, she's the driver, yet for riding along he's the one charged with reckless op.
This kind of overboard reaction to teenage sexual exploration is a direct result of feminist rape hysteria. Unless the guy was initially averse to receiving the girl's photos, this story was not about a sexual imposition of any kind until police sought legal enforcement of their interest in a teen boy's erect penis.

This is the kind of logic feminism has foisted off on first world society, most easily seen when examining the rape hysteria they've triggered among authorities and citizens, but just as prevalent in nearly everything else they advocate.

Feminist philosophy in a nutshell: The actions of women and girls don't matter. Only what men and boys do matters. Therefore, when men and boys respond to what women and girls initiate, no matter how similar or equal the response, no matter how similar their age, the guys are responsible and the gals are not. Unfortunately this also happened to myself. Not the same circumstances but when I was 16 my dumbass messed around with a 14 year old. When I turned 18 it came back on me. I was accused of quite a number of things. One of my buddies just so happened to be a couple of months older then me and he was sent to jail for the same reason. He also is now a sex offender. Fortunately after a long legal battle I had 3 months probation. Not to bad but I missed prison time by the hair on my rear end.

This is an incredible set of injustices that if allowed to stand, sets the stage for a further erosion of the mere ability to pursue happiness.

First off, two teenagers sending each other explicit photos of themselves is hardly immoral, unethical or unnatural. Only in the most pusillanimous mind could legal statute be used against either of them to shame and guilt their normal adolescent sexual explorations.

Secondly, to solely hold the male criminally culpable for this non-crime is beyond sexist. It smacks of the lack of prudence usually associated with lynch mobs.

Finally, injecting a male teenager with a substance to cause an erection for the purposes of photographing it and introducing it into evidence for a non-violent offense lacking in any exigent need is the ultimate in obscenity.

Anyone involved in allowing this travesty to go forward should be removed from their official duties immediately.

They then proceed to charge them as an adult, So now an adult took a picture of their self and sent it to a friend.

I'm in Europe and have no familiarity with the U.S. justice system (luckily, it seems), but if anyone could post the email address(es), url, or other contact info about the prosecutor at least it's possible for me and others in the same geographical situation to reach them and express our resentment in a constructive way. Wait what? They really need to rework those types of laws work for when minors take pictures of themselves. There's a BIG difference between someone who takes naked pictures of kids and distributes them and some teen sending a picture of themselves to someone they are probably already having sex with. I hope they're not charging him as an adult cause that would be one shitty misunderstanding that could potentially fuck up his life.

As for the police producing child pornography, one of my associates who studies law said it was something along the lines of if it was not intended for sexual purposes then it is considered acceptable. Apparently this why it is legal to show naked babies in commercials and put them on pampers boxes and such. In this case, the photograph would be used as evidence and would not be classified as pornographic.
