I've been a goon since 2003, so maybe I can shed some light on this.

SomethingAwful is an authoritarian website, the dumbest shit ever can get you banned. SomethingAwful goons want to turn Reddit into an authoritarian, heavily moderated site as well. Anything that offends them must be censored or banned. It's just their mindset.

Since most of Reddit hates SRS, I think any attempt at a redditbomb will fail. Nobody will take it seriously and if the Reddit admins actually did ban MensRights, like the post in the OP claims, people would be furious. At that point it is not about banning illegal content, but content that some very uptight people find offensive. But honestly, this "redditbomb" is going to fail and everyone will end up laughing at SRS for being retarded.

Whatever happens, the decentralized nature of the MRA community means that if this one forum is shutdown, three more pop up somewhere else, along with even more members. Our Center of Gravity is not a single entity, and it certainly is not this web forum. It is the desire in each of us to simply want a better life. We hold no rank and file among members, nor do we register and have dues. Thus, it is difficult to pin us down and likewise crush our Wills. They may try to take down our forum, but it will have little bearing on the movement as a whole. They are only after us because they think they can kill many birds with one stone. If they should succeed, hell, as a decoy I will shower them with praise and give them all medals for as long as they are willing to be showered with such flattery, if only to keep them entertained and rendered impotent while the rest of us march on. We are all seeds of the Mens Rights Movement, and we need the wind to scatter us to yield a more abundant and fruitful outcome. The question we should be asking is how can we use SA to our advantage? How can we make them actually work for us while they are trying to shut us down?

Here is what they have been doing.

SA-SRS, have a core group of people constantly scouring this sub in order to compile a list of any comment they find that can be construed as offensive/misogynistic, they have been doing this for many months. These cherry picked comments have been compiled out of context, into a media release which they will then spam to any media outlet they can.

These are not entirely rational people, they are angry fundamentalist pedagogues, they cannot be reasoned with.

This is not a reddit internal matter, they'll spread this as far and wide as they can. The admins are going to be fielding all kinds of media attention when this is released.

What we need to do, is comment like we're in fucking Sunday school. If anyone has made a lame troll comment in this sub, they need to delete it. If you're pissed off and need to rant, hold your tounge. If you want to play devils advocate, hold that thought.

This cannot be a rant free space, until they get bored and move on. After this is released, we're gonna be under far greater scrutiny by people who will leap on any reason to make a stink.

Basically, they just plug your username into Google and see what they can correlate; whether it links to user names on other forums, see what you've posted there, maybe you linked your Facebook page as your forums user name, or maybe you posted your email address once,etc.
