To me, a loser is someone who is not working on things and not trying, but still expects to get what they want when they want it.

The dude that complains all day that he’s not a high paid executive but can’t seem to figure out how to get to work on time and doesn’t even do a decent job working while he’s there, for example.

Or the guy who talks about how “women only like hot attractive guys” but then you go “hey what about that girl over there, she’s looked over at you and smiled at you like three times now. You should go talk to her” and he not only does he not go over, he spends the next five minutes talking about how she’s too “fat, her nose is too big, her hair is a mess and she’d only want Chad anyways”

I think the actual percentage of dudes like that is pretty small, though.

The label loser is meaningless. You say someone would consider you a loser, that's also meaningless.

I know people that would call you a loser for working at Facebook!

So most men and women are losers if it's just a case of what people think.

It seems like an overwhelming majority of women would rather remain unmarried their whole life, than marry a "loser."

I'm a man and I also would rather be unmarried than marrying a loser. You would too.

Especially men, most if not all that believe in this theory of colored pills can't shut up about rating women as if there are just flesh, and they say women are shallow - why would anyone want to spend their life with such people?

I think if you focus on one tiny thing, magnify it and don't get past it, you'll end up a loser.

I guess I qualify as a loser, according to my friends I’m single because of how I interact with women (they don’t actually know how I interact, but perception is reality). I have a great job (money wise hopefully I make my first six figures this year) and I am getting into better shape every day (down 23lbs from last year, I ETS’d from the military last year so I wasn’t really out of shape) trying to have a sic pack by xmas. I have been told I have a good looking face (a lady actually said I had great skin and teeth which is nice because I was pizza face in hs). I’m only 5’7” and I do believe that being shorter than average and being in a blue collar job where my hours are random that it makes intimate relationships damn near impossible. When I’m at a place where drinks and dancing are a thing I can get women to two step with me and I get a lot of phone numbers, but the next day they go radio silent. This is where I’m at tight now

A loser is what people call you when you do or say things they don’t like. Doesn’t matter what you accomplish in life. If you fall out of line, people will call you whatever label they think will get under your skin and make you fall back in line.

Some people are consistent and say that a man with little money is a loser while a guy with lots of money is a winner. Still, there are “losers” who get better treatment than “winners”, so that’s a subjective assessment.

I don't think that's a calculation you can make. Too many variables. A 20 year old guy might be a Chad to a 17- year old girl but might be a loser to a 25 year old girl but the same guy might be seen as a catch at 30 to a similar 25 year old girl.

I don’t think that it is kind to call people losers. I am one of these women who d rather die single surrounded by cats than marry someone who does not measure up to my standards. Will I call that person a loser? No! Now way! Because myself I do not stand a chance in some guy’s eyes, and I believe that it does not make me a loser that fact that I do not meet someone’s standards. I have rejected guys before who are great guy but are lacking in things I consider important for me to be with them. I linked them up with my friend who are great girls and single searching. Now I have two of them who married my friends they have happy families they are great family men (who in my eyes they re just not my preference). They have great careers and doing well for their wives and kids. It makes me happy to see them do well. So the fact that some woman feel like they will not be happy by being with you hence they reject you does not make anyone a loser! We all are dealing with internal things we don’t know about. If a person doesn’t measure up in your eyes, let me go! Somebody else will appreciate them and kill to be with them; love them for who they are. They are not a loser they just are not the “it” person for you.

I’m a 23 and I’d consider a guy a loser who doesn’t have their own car, no work ethic, and no sense of motivation for anything. If I’m capable of owning a newer car, having my own, place, and being able to pay bills on time if not early then you should too. I don’t make a whole lot but still have enough money live freely and do the things I want to do. I don’t care where or what you do for a living, but I refuse to raise a mamas boy who will solely live off everyone else. There will be no scrubs sitting in the passenger side of my car.

About 40% of single guys maybe? My guess at the distribution of straight single guys:

30% transitory singleness. Basically dude in between LTR and testing the water

5% chads doing too well to be tied down who are still in a get laid stage of life or post marriage balling

15% non-losers who's head is in a different space. Basically MGTOW but not claiming it. They are working hard, taking care of others, focused on a super important hobby to them, w/e. Could probably get a gf if they tried but dont care.

10% non-losers who would like to date but are not a great package. They don't have "loser mentality" but are maybe just a little too overweight, a little too broke, a little rural, a little too ugly, etc. But they are not letting that get to them. They are doing what they need to do to get better or ok with the situation and grinding away without letting it take over their life.

Then there are 40% losers.

30% are just natural losers. Very annoying or very dependent or very leechy or very overweight. People that cant be adults and are just generally not fun to be around. Depending on their age they may be destined to be forever losers.

5% who are saveable losers but have been given some bad advice and have just embraced a loser mentality even if they could not be.

5% mental losers who are too deep into their self pitty to be saved. Basically black pilled people whether they know the term and identify with it or not.

If by loser you mean someone that isn’t succeeding in life, you can probably find some statistics on men who have failed to launch and establish themselves.

In that case, marrying someone who can’t take care of their basic needs is not going to be value added to my life.

Any woman who uses the term “loser” to define a man has some maturing to do herself before she should even consider marriage.

Saying what a loser is is subjective. All straight women want men but each will have different ideas of what a good man is.

For me a loser would be a guy who is incapable of doing anything for himself but most guys have some skills at something. My current boyfriend and I bonded by talking about PCs and cats.

I find most men undateable. They aren't "losers" though and it isn't the word I usually use. It's just the result of my own sexuality, so that's on me.

If you want to talk about "marriage material" in a vacuum, like taking aside my attraction to a person, I'd say that maybe anywhere between a third and 3/4 of men aren't fit to be good husbands due to their hang-ups, values, a lack of ambition, a lack of morals, untreated mental issues etc. The ratio depends heavily on the region and one's social circle. There are lots of great family men in my close social circle, but I have a skewed sample of highly educated professionals who were also pre-filtered by women I know. In some dying out village the ratio probably will be the opposite.

To me a loser is defined entirely on character traits, not appearance or status. Someone who lights up a room but lives in a slum is not a loser, for example.

Basically the more toxic traits you have, the more of a loser I'd consider you to be.

"Loser" is just a word to degrade or diminish someone. It means what you decide it means -- whatever qualities the speaker decides merit degradation or diminution.

To me a loser is someone with a track record of problems caused by arrogance, lack of self-awareness, or compulsions. I tend to put potheads, chronic thieves, and sex offenders into this category.

Depends on the woman. Ideally, one would want to be with a partner that one values for whatever reason. “I’m so lucky to have this person in my life” should be coming out of both mouths.

Loser is a mindset. For me it’s men who are “victims”, petty, nitpicky, overly fearful, lazy, bitchy and spend their time competing with women.

Men who have this mindset tend to struggle with holding down successful careers, maintaining relationships with women and being a useful person to society. You see a lot of them online now because social media has given them a voice - before they were hidden.

At this point in my life, the only relationship I would be interested in is with a successful man at least 15 to 20 years younger than me who is still building his career that is currently not looking to have children for at least 15 to 20 years. I would help him further build his career as an assistant as well as give him loyal companionship and he will give me stability in my old age. When the time comes. I would have no problem allowing him a divorce to marry younger and have children as long as I have my assets that would keep me into into my old age and perhaps he would have enough compassion to take care of me of provide some care to be given to me and not place me into a nursing home. Of course there would have to be some kind of contract drawn up for these provisions. Other than that, there is not much men can really do for me.

19M I’m most definitely an example of a loser, I work 2 jobs, one is cleaning the other delivering pizzas. It’s everyone’s definition of a “good” or “average” driver. People have different definitions so who I describe as a loser isn’t someone else’s loser and Vice versa.

That being said me personally I think it’s someone who has no interests or hobbies just blundering through life often at someone else’s expense.

I met my husband when he was working a crappy retail job but he wanted to do more and he had interesting hobbies. He was struggling a bit with the rent but was managing to kind of stay afloat but like many in nj he was one disaster away from having to move home/be homeless based on how good your support system is.

Today we’re married with kids in a happy poly relationship (we pretty much knew that since we knew each other) and he has a much better job. This wasn’t guaranteed obviously but I was happy enough with a guy with ambitions who wasn’t a burden. I do also realize I can afford to be all money isn’t everything as I made enough back then to be secure enough. If I was also making a crap wage we might not have been able to afford to get to a stable place so I don’t necessarily say I’m better than others who place a bigger emphasis on financial stability.

Most of those “loser” men did the hard labor no one else wanted to do and were seen as disposable. That frame of thought never went away. Right now a loser guy is probably someone without a house who makes under the median wage of the state they live in who doesn’t have many interesting hobbies or who doesn’t have a good social life, particularly if they are over 25.

If they are under 25 then take away the house and median wage part…or actually leave the median wage part. This is unless they are in college. That’s a whole’nother ball game I don’t care to get into.

I think the percentage of men who are losers is pretty small. I do not really think of men as being winners or losers.

Men think of other men as winners and losers. Then they get frustrated if they see themselves as being in the " winner" category and unable to bang the women they want to bang.
