Men and women simply are too different. We think, communicate, and speak in different ways. Men are from mars and women are from Venus.

Men are simple when it comes to communicating. When a man says, I don’t feel well, it means he doesn’t feel well, when a man says he’s fine. He’s fine. We’re easy.

However, women are socially conditioned to not be as upfront about their emotions and feelings especially with men. Which is why we hear the old joke about women saying “I’m fine” being a precursor to a huge fight.

Even in platonic settings, the way men communicate to each other is a lot less careful. We see jokes as jokes. We don’t see a playful jab as an attack on all men and reason to get upset. We’re easy going.

Women are a lot less like that. If a man takes a playful jab at a woman the same way he would his guy friends, she might actually be offended. She’ll internalize it and hold a grudge.

We’re not two different species, but we do think and socialize using different strategies
