In reality, women still need men as much as in the past, but throw the proxy of the state.

For example, in 2019 the top 1% income earners paid 38.77% of total income taxes paid that year, and billionaires are still almost 90% men. Of course, real wealth is labor and fiat is inflated beyond belief, but that is not the point. Since women benefit off taxes in every age, it makes sense to say that women as a class are just married to top men as a class through the state structure. In a sense, women serve as a harem for top men anyway and government serves them what the husband used to serve in marriage, while average men provide the labor and enforcement of the system that screw them.

Women vote for socialist policies to get the most entitlements from the government, not to take down those top men and distribute power on the industries and labor. In reality, women are the most capitalist as they are the fuel of those men that are powerful and use that power to get more powerful, this is just an extension of hypergamy. Almost all socialist policy women promote are also to screw average men, not top men they want to fuck.

Is this a conspiracy? Not really, women and top men are not really self aware of their privilege. This is just another social equilibrium, just as in the past sometimes women were the prize and treated as property, or just as slaves in the past were used as average men are today.

Best thing average men can do is avoid taxes at all cost. Having property is paramount. Try exchange of labor, such as "I do this for you and you do this for me" or similar arrangements that don't involve taxable transactions. There are many ways to avoid paying taxes without breaking the law, just imitate top men or move money to foreign jurisdictions. It is actually immoral for most men to pay for a system that don't serve them. The intention of this is not to become top in the system, but actually use the loopholes those top men have created against themselves.

TLDR: Contemporary society itself is just an unwritten contract between most women and top earning men as a group. Free sexual market is just another word for the harem top men have access to, which is almost all women, while women choosing higher earning men and hypergamy guarantee those women are reserved for the elite as sexual providers.
