For general dating for men who are 18-40 and looking to date near their own age, I would say it has little to no influence outside of a simple checkbox “does he make more than me”.

I’ve made more than you and as a much younger man. I can tell you, even at the peak of my income, no woman cared or found me more attractive or interesting. It has little influence for women who aren’t sugar babies.

If you want a prime example of how it doesn’t make a difference, look at all the virgins in Silicon Valley. Those men make hundreds of thousands to literally millions a year and they cannot get a woman if their life depended on it. Most end up relying on arranged marriages or stay single for most of their life. (Assuming they didn’t meet their spouse in college)

Money matters a little but looks, status, and personality are wildly more important. Money is often similar to height in that you just need to pass a certain bar. That’s different for every woman and how rigid they are in that is also different. Some will demand a millionaire just like some will demand a man who is 6’4”. Some will take a bum and some will take a man who is shorter than them. There is some halo-effect with everything here but the biggest standard is “makes more than me” just like “is taller than me (with heels on).”

But I am always hesitant to suggest it's a good idea to try to increase success with women by increasing money b/c then the extra women you're attracting are just attracted to the money. Become the type of guy women are attracted to already through personality or social skills, so that money and looks are there to help and supplement.

I just think that you don’t necessarily need money to find a girlfriend or someone to date. When the sub claims you must have money as a rule to be able to find a partner I think that’s what people have an issue with. There are average earning and broke men out there with wives and girlfriends.

I also think it probably works fine for you because you want to have fun, which is totally ok. But some men on here want relationships, and I don’t think if you want a long term relationship, that it’s a good idea to find it by only throwing money at your dates. I mean you have to think long term; even if the only thing that women ever wanted was money (which I don’t think is always true) your business might fail. You might lose your job. You might become broke. You don’t want a whole relationship built on money if it’s not casual dating for this reason.

As someone with a decent career and decent wages, I kinda disagree. Only on the point that if you have a lot of money you have to PROVE it to women to get dates.

Wearing expensive branded clothing, driving that expensive car, having a big house, wearing expensive aftershave and accessories like gold chains etc. Flaunting that you have money seems to work.

I only say this because I don't do any of that, besides my hobbies with cars (have a $90,000 Mercedes as well as a cheap runaround). But it never helped me. No woman gives a shit what car you drive these days unless it's a Ferrari or Lambo. I have no intention of flaunting my money. I just keep it in a bank and save it up for a comfortable lifestyle.
