Two decades ago I slept with an older virgin woman. She became obsessed and basically a stalker. It got really weird when she showed me a photo of her deceased father. I looked just like her father did right before he died.

I think more men are okay with that dynamic than the other way around (for example the DDLG thing and calling your boyfriend daddy is more acceptable than calling your gf mom )

I’ve seen this dynamic the most in relationships that have at least a bit of an age gap (usually like at least 7 years) maybe the man doesn’t complain because he’s purposefully gone after a younger woman/he chalks her behaviour up to her age, even if she’s an adult too.

So many women say things like “men want a bang maid” but don’t want to talk about how many women expect “princess treatment” from some zaddy who will pay for everything, be an emotional blanket, fix anything that breaks and do their little “projects” around the house, etc.

Not long ago, some woman on PPD was commenting that her bf gets up early every day and makes her coffee exactly how she likes it and leaves it on a little tray and shit - several men commented that her bf sounded like her dad and the woman who shared more or less believed “he does it because he loves me so much 🫶🌞💕🥰”

Meanwhile the women all tried to gaslight the men into thinking this is how to treat your partner, when those same women would flip out if the inverse was happening and a woman was doing all that for her husband/bf.

largely because the “father to husband” transition is socially normalized (ie. walking your daughter down the isle and giving her to the husband) + patriarchal social standards have been very common across societies (ie. women being under the care of their fathers then the care of their husbands in a lot of countries) - if women being socially subservient to men is so actively normalized (even if not legally and even if it is less common - many colloquial thought process are built on it), then some women looking for and wanting a father figure to replace her father kinda becomes the norm as well.

I have always found it funny that I often hear, "I don't want to be your mom!" From the same women who essentially just want a dad to do everything they don't want to. Like how some women refuse to do anything labour intensive, or dirty, or so on. Everything unpleasant is man work.

It's mostly just laziness and self infantilization under the guise of femininity. Honestly, to some degree, I think it's weaponized incompetence.

It never bothered me because those types of women are nauseating anyway.

They can be hypocrites. It's not as if I'm going to want anything to do with them.

It's probably some form of women are wonderful syndrome, where people don't see it as a bad thing because it's a woman wanting it.

Edit: You people not being able to understand that this wasn't a statement about ALL women, but is in reference to a minority of women who do this is staggering.

The amount of "Well, I know a woman who does a hard job!" And, "Uhh, actually, did you know there are jobs dominated by women that are hard!?"

Did you honestly think I was referencing those women? Do you think there's a big crossover between a woman who believes there should be male only jobs, like the women I described and the women working the jobs you've described?

Do you think it would be a bit silly if you were to make a post about the small minority of men who hit their partners, and I were drop in and declare, "I actually don't hit women! And I know of plenty of men that don't!" Because those particular mem weren't the men being discussed?

I think the daddy/entitled princess dynamic is more accepted as there are more men who are okay with this dynamic.

At the end of the day relationships are decided by the people in them.

If most women don't want to be a mommy mcbangmaid but most men are happy playing daddy then that's what the relationships will reflect.

I don't think there are many men who want to have the daddy/princess dynamic but there seems to be more of them than there are women who are okay with being a mommy.

I suppose you're talking about women's desire for a provider/protector and relating that to "looking for a father."

The difference is some men genuinely want to provide and protect, and feel energized, happy, and fulfilled by being this type of partner to their wives and girlfriends. It's a mutually desired dynamic that two people willingly enter into and feel gratified by.

In the mommy scenario, women start with a desirable relationship dynamic with a man. Then, when they move in or get married, the woman morphs into the guy's mother by cleaning up behind him, cooking for him, and the man acts helpless with basic life tasks. The reason this is different from the other scenario is women don't want this, it's an undesirable turn in the relationship. It's not attractive to the woman and it breeds resentment.

In contrast, provider/protector men are consistent from day one and the dynamic is desirable from day one. If it's any consolation, there are plenty of women who don't want provider/protector men, so there is surely someone for you if that's not a dynamic you want. Most women don't try and force a man to be a provider/protector because a guy either is or he isn't.

There are a lot of older women who go after younger guys these days. Like guys usually outnumber girls at clubs so they'll hit on older women. And there's a front page post on datingoverthirty of a 37 year old woman bragging about how her mid 20 coworkers hit on her not realizing her age so she'll go after younger men.

Still more 37 year old men going after 24 year old women though and more 24 year old women open to that.

I mean one of my uncles basically married an age-similar version of our grandmother, and they've been happily married for over 30 years. Yes we pick on him a bit about it over the years, but ultimately he's happy with the arrangement and she's extremely happy with it.

If that's what people want and they're honest from the get go, then fine. The issue women are having is that some men lie and obfuscate that they want that early into the relationship, and keep the lie up post marriage nuptials, which is when they finally give in and go "Yeah this is what I want out of you" and the list is basically to become his mother(but with sex!)

You are 100% right. Except men that are looking for a mother are "too feminine" because of it. And women hate how feminine and how needy and attached they are.
