I am only interested in a small percentage of men. Most women aren't interested in dating men of all ages, all cultural backgrounds, or men that they find neutral or worse in appearance. Of course that's going to be a small amount of men. It's not really different for men. Men might open to having a ons with more women, but most are not interested in seriously dating older women, single mothers, fat women, or whatever else disqualifies them to that man. Why people act like this is shocking?

That small percentage is not the same for every woman or man.

This is something that men themselves often times echo but get told they are wrong. Now we have two women on a podcast acknowledging this.

I would agree with the first part of this. I find literally a small percentage of men attractive. Even a smaller percentage worth actually investing in. Because most dudes don't want anything serious even average looking dudes who you would think are "safe" picks. I lucked out finding my guy. Because he matches what I am looking for and he invested in me as well.

The thing that you're missing is that outside of say the tippity top men (the 1%, the Brad Pitts, the absolutely ethereal and drop dead gorgeous) men most of us can agree about....

There's whole swathes of men that are very attractive and worth pursuing, but most of us don't really agree on who that is.

If you want anecdotal evidence, I would never in a bazillion years want to date a guy like the one my fiance's sister is dating. You couldn't pay me to even eat pizza with him, and I really like money and pizza. She's very taken with him. Genuinely thinks he's lovely and handsome and great.

Is there some competition even still, yes, but it's not over this very small percentage total of men as suggested. Most men will have relationships and sex. It's incredibly rare not to. So from this, I would determine it's very likely that one woman's ick is another woman's yum.

Not usually. Mostly in high school. Maybe in college. But generally, there is no competition with other women. The one guy I like. Usually likes me back.

It's two women. Those are their opinions. I don't necessarily think they their two opinions are worth an entire post. It seems they are just trying to make money of outrageous claims. Like most dating podcasts.

I actually think the comments section was refreshing compared to the comments men make in PPD. They were more logical than the average man that posts here. Their statements weren’t an attack on women, they were more so expressing disappointment in being misunderstood by women. If men here sounded like those men I’d have more respect for them because I wouldn’t just feel they were misogynists. There are some men who are logical here but most comments you can feel a deep hatred. It’s off putting. A lot of men here only care about baiting women, mocking them or convoluting anything you say because they don’t actually seek to understand. They just want to escalate and justify their hatred.

I was only interested in a small percentage of men past one month but mostly it took 1 conversation. I feel like I was open to most men in my friend group looks wise. However I wanted a specific personality type which my husband reflects perfectly. Looking back I only met a few men I considered to be of the quality my husband is. I never felt in competition with other women. If the man made me feel like I had competition I kept my distance, I wasn’t interested in competing for attention or playing the game of trying to keep anyone loyal. So I never competed.

Love and dating have always been trivial to me. I've only ever seen it matter to women who either want kids the old-fashioned way, or who need a man to support them. Those are not women I particularly respect in any capacity.
