Of course I’d still want a relationship. I’m ridiculously co-dependent and spoiling someone I love is basically my love language. Billionaire me would just make it over-the-top. 'Oh, you’re stressed? I bought you a private island for some peace and quiet.' Or, 'Feeling a bit chilly? No problem, here’s a diamond-encrusted blanket and a plane ticket to Bora Bora.' Honestly, being rich would just give me more ways to be extra about loving someone, and I’d thrive in it.

If i became a billionaire im already married and wouldn’t plan on divorcing. However I probably would have preferred a LTR over marriage if I was single unless I had a solid pre-nup that was enforceable. I don’t want any of those things you listed. I more so envision a life where my husband and I travel in luxury, I get my dream house, he gets his dream car, he gets an allowance and I stay home. Yes it is because of love but having sex with a bunch of people never appealed to me. I was always wanting to be committed to one person for the rest of my life.

Edit: yeah I know money changes people so before anyone says that. I have never met anyone who was like my husband there’s nothing anyone else would be able to give me that I’d want.

Non marriage relationships may have their biases, but unlike marriage can be ended (by either party) with no ongoing monetary obligations which can be enormous and life changing with marriage and divorce.

I buy a big plot of land in my hometown and build houses for myself, my sister and my dad. We live the rest of our days raising our kids together and hanging out on the porch.

The things you are listing are services, they aren’t company & connection. I don’t mind the odd meal out alone, but if I’m a billionaire I want someone I can enjoy things like holidays with. Someone I can build a relationship with over time and feel a deep connection with.

Seeing posts like this really highlights why some guys struggle so much with dating. You don’t even seem to be aware of what people are looking for in relationships. If you go on a date and show zero awareness of the actual benefits of intimate relationships, then people aren’t going to see you as an option for building those relationships.

Overall this is why I don't even care if I never become rich in any capacity (whether on my own or through a partner's income) because the things I value the most in life cannot be bought with money. So yeah I'd rather be broke for life but happily married/in a relationship, than be rich and alone. Unfortunately I'm both broke and alone now though.

Thing is, I still despise most of the people of my "class" and I still hang out with roughly the same type of people I hanged out with when I was 20. If you were wealthy and I liked you when I was 20, I'll probably like you now as well. But if I despised you 20 years ago, I probably still do.

So, from that introduction, would I still have married my current wife had I been wealthy 16 years ago? Yes, because I still would've met her (all else being equal - that is to say I still had the same personality).

Now, with my second kid coming, we'll see if my wife will be able to carry a third. If not, surrogacy and adoption are on the table. I still want my big family, but I also want to age gracefully with her.

That amount of money is so unknowable and would alter so many things that I couldn't say for sure. Depending on how I made the money, at what point I made it, etc, I might not even be the same person. Money doesn't necessarily change a person, but billions certainly puts things on an entirely different trajectory, and would do even more so if that is something you inherited or built early-ish in life.
