Sometimes I see people use these words as a synonym of "attractive to women" and most of the time they can't be more wrong.

Even though not all woman want the same things and everyone is attracted to different things there are always things that men do in th name of masculinity that aren't necessarily attractive.

Like when a man says he want to grow a beard to appear masculine, he might be righ that a beard is inherently very masculine but it isn't attractive to some women. Or body hair, even if it is natural and it's directly corrolated with testosterone and other androgens, it isnt very esthetic.

In my own culture cleasiness is sometimes seen as gay and some men migh avoid showers because they think the smell makes them manly and it is attractive to women.

I think the rule of thumb should be if you want to self improve and be manly and masculin... and be more successful in dating you should consider this.
