I remember an old scrote approached me once in the gym. I was working out on the machine and he wanted to flex himself and show me how it really works because how could I possibly know, right? Not like I have been using it for 40 minutes prior to his little stunt. So he, without asking, tampered with my settings and the little screen counting kms and kcal turned off. Isn’t it SO FASCINATING that a man would think “hmm this woman has introduced a barrier to me talking to her before ever knowing of my existence. She must want me to overcome it!” The fact that men think women are mysterious creatures whose behavior they must constantly decode (because women never behave in a way conducive to how they actually feel) is baffling to me because the only people ever talking about this are men. I always make sure I wear giant over ear headphones when on public transport. Most people (ie women) see this as "don't talk to me" and respect that but I've had so many old men sitting next to me or near me on trains just start blabbing to me despite the headphones. When I was 18 or 19 I'd take them off and listen to be polite. I haven't been on public transport for a while due to the pandemic but next time I'm on a train and some old dinosaur starts talking to me despite the headphones I'm just ignoring him.
