Guys like this love to talk about "if the roles were reversed" as if they weren't by default.

So many male-run subs are everything these critics accuse FDS of being, and most of them are shielded from criticism because "it's just their opinion." So we have 3 different posts that happened:

A man says he is attracted to his daughters friends. Makes weird comments about his own daughter ("Im not into her like that" - the fact one even has to say that...)
A FDS poster posts about it saying "wtf- this is fucked". Indulges in a bit of hyperbole saying 99% men might be like this. The comments, however, are mostly filled with criticism that a man saying he wants to fuck his daughters 15 year old friends is met with upvotes, "understanding" and general frustration that stuff like this isn't called out for the vileness it is.
A man posts about the FDS thread- calling FDS toxic because of the hyperbolic title.

Guess which 2 get upvotes, awards, comments, agreements and discussion?

The fact that they aren't viewing "1" as worthy of the same attention and outrage as "2" is making FDSs point. The hyperbole in "2"s title came about precisely due to frustration that the vast majority of men don't seem adequately outraged or plussed by "1". When we see men say what was said in "1", and men upvote, award and agree in comments, and then when thread "2" brings this to light, and none of these men seem anywhere near as outraged by "1" as by "2"- its easy to think "WTF? Why do men not think this is a big deal? Why are they acting like a frustrated post about it is worthy of using words like Toxic? BUT NOT ACTUAL GROWN MEN WANTING TO FUCK 15 YEAR OLD FRIENDS OF THEIR KIDS." Then no wonder some conclude "are most men just ok with this/into it themselves?".

Because I cannot understand why the title of post "2", as OTT as it might look to some people (I'll even say understandablely), is more toxic or outrageous than the first post, and specifically the fact that the first post didnt get pushback. And that posts like the first one are made all the time, and we just see men on here ALL THE TIME be like "yeah, me too bro. Its ok. Its normal. Its ok. Yourre so brave". And none of these men want to talk about how toxic male behaviour and sexuality is getting?

Men will never know what it’s like being a woman, and women won’t know what it’s like being a man. If the roles were truly reversed, we’d live in a matriarchy. Then they would still be living in a patriarchal society where their rights are perceived differently from women’s. They would still be able to walk down the street and not have to worry about the threat of a woman harassing or assaulting them. Men don’t fear women like women fear men. That’s just a fact of life.
