Nah that’s not true. Even the nerdy girls I know at least socialize with each other and are active in their communities. While a lot of guys I know literally game 24/7. And it’s not a small portion either. But yeah girls can get sex easier and nobody’s denying that. But female sex rates have gone down as well so clearly women aren’t all thotting it up like a lot of lonely guys think.

Yeah I’ll have to agree with gimpgirl (lol) about this. The women in the 22 - 24 range are probably having sex with men in their mid late 20s who wouldn’t be counted in this study.

And the 18 - 19 yo men are stuck in a limbo where it’s harder to get girls their age (who want to date the guys in their early 20s) but not acceptable to date high school girls.

I can tell you a big reason is bc a lot of guys never go out. They sit at home and play video games and work from home. You're never going to meet people like that.

Source: am female who sits around and plays video games and works from home, and consequently I don't interact with anyone lol so of course I don't meet people. When you consider the massive portion of men leading that lifestyle it does make sense. They're the kind of men I'd fuck anyway problem is we're both introverts who will likely never meet each other bc neither of us leaves the house except when we have to and we both won't touch OLD with a ten foot pole. We never meet, of course we never fuck.

In college, I never left my dorm except when I had to and never went to my floor meetings or anything. Lots of dudes did the same. The few times I went to clubs and whatnot it was overwhelmingly female even though it was history club - guys just don't participate in clubs and social groups.

It so happens that way more men than women live like that. I believe a much larger portion of the phenomenon is explained by this than y'all realize.

EDIT: some replies here mention that women are dating older guys, but why do you think this discrepancy only been observed recently then? Didn't women always dated older guys?

I'm really struggling to find anything in the 90's or before on these stats to know how different it might have been.

There are less attractive men than women. Most women preen themselves and dress well, wear makeup, style their hair. Most men dress however, are ungroomed, and tend towards average bodies. More girls are in the gym, eating clean, on that "body goals" hype, spending boat loads on skincare, hair care, etc.

Men are like....t-shirt and deodorant. Maybe a shave. MAYBE go to the gym, in which case, increase odds of getting laid.

It's not that hard lol. American dudes probably have it harder. European guys tend to be better groomed and in better shape.

It would be interesting to see which uni this is.

Afaik Oxford is the highest ranked uni in the world, followed by a couple of other British unis. A high ranking university would subsequently have higher achieving students who party and date/fuck less.

But there are also unis like my one in party central cities where students frequently take drugs, fuck and do their essays two days before hand in time.

Having had sex is different from being sexually active. People might have sex once and they'd be still counted and the ones who had experience before university but got dry spell during it wouldn't be.

Generally it's easier for women to find sex. There are more willing men of their own age and men older/younger than they are, when there are far less older women who are into younger guys. There are also more bisexual women than men, so a few percents might be explained by women having sex with each other.

Edit: considering your edit - Women not always had an opportunity to date whoever they wanted and to date casually.

1) Sexlessness went up for women too. 2) I’m stating the above because it should be already an obvious fact that, on average, men have a more active and constant libido than women, on average. So if even less women are desiring sex than before, men are going to feel it precipitously. 3) What women desire in men is NOT what men desire in women. So if everyone is becoming more antisocial and shut-in and high inhib and socially awkward because of technology or whatever, it’s going to precipitously affect men on the desirability front because women aren’t attracted to the bolded. Not only are they not attracted to it. They don’t notice these men because these men are less likely to be bold confident pursuers who are in her face getting her attention and seducing her. 4) This means the women who are having sex are having sex with the smaller percentage of men who meet those bolded qualifications and are decently physically attractive (average or above — let’s not make this a convo about needing to be a 10 in raw looks because it’s false and I won’t entertain it). 5) Then also add that some of the sexually active women have boyfriends/lovers who are not in college. Though I don’t think this is the majority. Most college kids socialize with college kids.

Part of it is due to women dating and marrying guys who are on average slightly older than them.18 to 24 is quite a small age range, it doesn't take much of a tendency to.date outside the age range to deprive the group that does not date outside the age range.
