What should a woman let's say 5.5-6/10 do if she likes 7-8/10 guy?

Well,

We are both uni students at a top uni in our country and in good majors. We share the same background in terms of family, money, success, experiences. He is above avarage as I heard from other people around 7-8/10 and as I heard I know that I am slightly higher than avarage, 5.5-6/10.

The thing is that there are lots of demand for men who are above good looking, have good family, are successful, come from a good background. This guy has it all. I also assume that he probably likes girls that are 7-8/10.

He probably assumes that I like him. He showed me some interest signs too, I askes a few people and they said it so too, but I can't be sure whether he likes me or he is just playing with me and boosting his ego.

What should I do like?

The concept of "looksmatch" is fundamentally flawed. Who determines who's match or what appropriate range someone should date to secure success and an LTR? Like who decides who is a 6 or a 2 or a 10?

Also forgetting things like relatability, "types", and compatibility. Some hunky gym bros like chunky women. Some women like dad bods and find hairy bear men super attractive.

So the whole concept of women not wanting their looksmatch doesn't really check out.

So basically, when unattractive women get approached or even find relationships where they were approached first, it gets dismissed as men just wanting sex. I don't know why blue pillers and Dr. K himself look at this table and use it as proof that looks aren't the most important thing. Just because some attractive people give other reasons to reject them, does not mean that less attractive person who does everything right will do better.

This and what part of these responses are influenced by halo effect (direct or in reverse), plus how many people are not willing to admit their shallowness for whatever reason.

Looks is key if that's all you have to rely on and you have bad social skills and are introverted to a fault, which is probably why so many men these days are blackpill. I know a significant amount of dudes who are average looking who just command attention and project enthusiasm and energy whenever they enter a room. They are always with the hottest women, simply because they pursue them and the women are receptive. Another key trait is they are able to make women feel comfortable with being who they are when they are together.

As much as looks matter to women, most women no matter their value are less likely to wait for better-looking men to seek them out, and instead respond to the type of guys I mentioned. Problem is in this increasingly poorly socialized population these types of men are increasingly rare. The attractive women would never have picked out these men if these men weren't proactive and didn't show themselves who they were, but that's the entire point.

Take a look at the couples you see in public and honestly tell me it's mainly looks that made her choose him.

I think the fact that "average looking" is so informed by our local population perception that it's kind of a meaningless term when used online. "Average looking" in one area might be "above average looking" in another part of the region/world or "below-average looking."

I also think the idea of "matches" based on "lining people up" is fundamentally flawed. Men's genetics have a larger role than women's genetics in attractiveness, so the floor to meet "attractive" is higher for men than women. This means population wise there will be more women considered attractive than men. So if you "line people up" by "ranking 1-100" you ultimately will end up with more attractive women being "looksmatched" with less attractive men, which is logically incoherent.

It's never been a reasonable, logical framework. Men just insist upon it because it aligns in their favor. In reality, there are men who won't have "matches" because it's much harder for a vagina to get wet for the ugliest man than a penis to get hard for the ugliest woman. This is just biology and the floor of standards for men's sufficient attraction being lower as a result.

Probably a hot take but: I think being overweight/fat isn't as bad as having a heavily fundamentally flawed facial structure (they can co-exist which is more common, but this assumes the person is already lean for the latter w/ clear skin and healthy hair)

Now extreme obesity yes would be worse, but this isn't technically going to extremes.

For men, clothing and style definitely have some impact, especially if your starting point is really terrible. But, in the end, it's not nearly as impactful as your height, hair, face and body. A 6'2 guy with full hair and a good face in typical baggy, sloppy Gen Z wear will always be more attractive than a bald 5'6 guy with an average face, no matter how stylish he is.

And let's not forget that when attractive people dress sloppy, it's often interpreted as deliberate, comfortable, chill and "counter culture" even sometimes.

This same formula has played out with multiple women I've been with throughout life:

I see them, I think they're hot, I try to catch their eye but they ignore me. They're not interest. Like she will determinedly not look in my direction once she realizes I'm paying a bit more attention to her than one normally would a stranger. But I keep trying throughout the night, and at some point we get to talking and she opens up. We start dating, and once we're fully in a relationship, she always tells people there was "instant, mutual attraction" the first time we laid eyes on each other when telling the story about how we met.

This is of course a stark contrast to how I remember things going. While that version does sound more romantic as a story to tell people, I don't even get the impression that she's lying. I think that's the real version of how things happened for her. Of course, I know better than to contradict them. I just find it interesting and humorous that women do this.

Can anyone here relate? I bring this up because it's not something I've seen discussed here before, and I'm sure it happens to other guys too(it's happened a lot to my irl guy friends).
