Confession: I’ve really enjoyed his recent standup specials and his work on SNL, but I saw him perform live about a decade ago before he was famous — and the entire act was “Haha! We went to a dangerous and diverse Brooklyn neighborhood to buy cocaine! Haha! Cocaine!”

I just watched shallon's video on this and was surprised at how FDS her stance was. For anyone who doesn't know John was in rehab and broke up with his wife right after he got clean. Likely his wife probably sacrificed everything helped him get sober, helped him go to rehab, and then once he got out of hit he ditched her because like most men he doesn't want to remember how she helped him because then he will feel like he "owes her" and a bad guy so he looked for someone shiny and new. Or as shallon said "You don't want to be building a man for the next woman while he is tearing you down for the next guy".

I get what people are saying in these comments, but I also want to put this out there for people to consider: Mulaney filed for divorce immediately after getting out of rehab. In an addict's recovery, that's the period when you're supposed to cut ties with anyone who could threaten your sobriety, whether because they're also an addict or for other reasons. We don't know exactly what happened in Mulaney's marriage, but it's possible that his past relationship wasn't a healthy or supportive one.

That said...getting another woman pregnant within a few months of divorce and rehab? YIKES, what a hot mess.
