So, basically it was extremely tough for me to get any girl interested in me while growing up. I didn't mind much in my teen years, but in my early 20s, it caused massive insecurity issues and depressive thoughts. I wasn't exactly asocial, I even had a few female friends.

I was totally blue pill and thought that as long as I am kind hearted and nice to everyone, someone out there will always want to be with me. I have heard of red pill stuffs on the internet and thought that "these are just made up ideas from incels and misogynists". At that time, I was way over my ideal BMI and was probably a 5/10 all things considered.

When I was 26, I rediscovered red pill ideology, but with all the bitterness in my heart, I was more openminded this time. It totally matched with my experiences and changed my worldview. It did make sense that being nice and kind has absolutely nothing to do with your dating life (yes it will help you in other sectors of life but not in dating).

The dumb guy in me actually believed the saying that "men want looks and women want good personality". Women are as much, if not more, shallow than men ,when it comes to looks. Good personality may make your relationship long lasting, but your physical attractiveness is the pretty much the only thing that matters while starting a relationship in your 20s and during the first few months (not even talking about hookups).

So, I totally focused on what you guys call "lookmaxxing" and nothing else. I wasn't deliberately being asshole to anyone but I wasn't selflessly kind either. After a year, with better physique and a bit worse personality, I landed 10+ dates, compared to 0 in the previous 5 years. I just wish that I discovered it sooner and didn't let women (and some men) around me and the popular culture fool me.

Note: No, I didn't suddenly turn into a chad, but at least I am seeing some form of success. Also, I didn't start hating women like you lot, I know that it's just biology. Yes, some women mislead other men, and I feel that they are delusional too. They truly believe that the attractive asshole Chad has something special and they can fix him without understanding that it's just their hormones fooling them.
