This is a toned down, more realistic version of a question I asked a while ago. Note this question is only for heterosexual women; if you are lesbian or bisexual, please refrain from answering.

Suppose that you were forced to time-travel back to when you were a kid (with your memories and brain also reverted to that point), and you would repeat your entire life. However, before that happened, you could choose two options for how you'd want your "redo" of life to play out:

  1. You go through life again like a normal woman, who'll receive both wanted and unwanted attention from men.
  2. You go through life without receiving any male romantic/sexual attention, both wanted and unwanted.

I will elaborate on (2) some more to give women a better picture of what this looks like. The positive is obviously that you will never experience any kind of catcalling, sexual harassment, assault, stalking, or unwanted male attention in general. As long as you ignore men, men will ignore you.

On the flip side, no man will ever desire you sexually or romantically. You'll never get asked out or flirted with; and no matter who you approach or how low your standards are, you'll never even get a date or hookup, let alone find a boyfriend or husband. You will never experience genuine love/romance, and your only chance of experiencing sex is transactional sex (e.g. hiring a male prostitute, dating a male gold digger) with someone clearly not attracted to you. Importantly, you'll also never get the benefits of male attention (e.g. free drinks, simping, extra help), and you'll be completely invisible in any sexually charged environment (e.g. parties, clubs, raves). However, note that none of this prevents you from making platonic friendships or professional connections with men; in general, men will treat you with polite indifference, like they do with male strangers.

Which of these two options would you choose?
