Also, the whole idea of “free sex with an FWB” versus “making your long-term partner work for it” is kind of ridiculous. A long-term relationship comes with a different set of responsibilities, because living together is very different from just hooking up. But it also comes with a different set of benefits for both partners. If you see a relationship purely as a way to get sex, and everything else that comes with it as just “working for sex”, then you shouldn’t be in a relationship.

In vice versa, anytime I meet a man who was married and now swears he doesn’t want to do it again, has a kid, took his clearly toxic ex on an expensive vacation, treats woman badly because he is jaded, or has ever dated a woman in her 30s…. So, I’m this sort of guy. I have a different perspective on it though.

It’s true that women favorably treat the men they’re more attracted to. That’s also just pretty obvious and predictable when applying a little logic to human behavior. But the difference is fairly marginal. Most people have a limited spectrum for behavior they’ll perform or tolerate under normal conditions. A “high-maintenance” woman isn’t going to become low-maintenance for a hotter guy. If she does, it’s more of a coincidence than people assume—she’s going through a phase or legitimately experimenting.

The thing is, because physically attractive men get so much attention, they are also the most likely recipients of a woman’s phase or experimentation. Moreover, such men can also afford to be really choosy—they gravitate toward the women who seem to match their energy, rather than attempting uphill climbs.

The cumulative result is sort of an optical illusion. It looks like women just treat these guys much, much better, when actually these guys are just better positioned to capitalize opportunities. The popular assumption that the same woman you work hard for would have made is easy if you were hot is just a misunderstanding emerging from this illusion.

Anyway, I don’t believe the story you told. It’s the typical story every redpiller claims has “happened” to them — a cliché story they all repeat. It’s very funny how all these guys know someone like that and they all have the same story. Even my friends complain when someone uses them.

Life is not far. If Ur in the top 10% of looks in your age group etc, U can date alot of ppl and have alot of options. If Ur in the bottom 50%, the ppl U can date are pretty close to the bottom 50%.

It's always asymmetrical but just like anything else. If I'm not a millionaire, there's plenty of things I cannot buy. Even if I have enough money to pay for it one time, I simply cannot buy it because I need to live within my means.

That's exactly a very similar concept in dating. The whole "women can sleep with a more attractive guy", yes sometimes they can if they find a good looking male whore with low standards. But that's not someone they can marry (granted, not even sure why they would want to marry that guy besides literally only looks).

All that the bottom 50% of women get more of, is sex. They are in completely the same situation as bottom 50% of men. They also have to live within their "budget" and usually find a partner with similar looks.

The difference mostly is, women are more accepting of a man who looks less hot than they are. To a certain point, still not a huge gap but they are totally open to it. Whereas men seem more biologically wired to put attractiveness right up the top of their wants for a partner. So all their "pain" mostly revolves around not finding someone more attractive than them rather than noone at all.

The casual sex I have had has mostly been underwhelming. I do it because I’m unwilling to go long stretches of time with no sex at all, and boring sex with strangers is generally better than no sex at all. Once in a while I even get decent sex out of a stranger.

What I really want is a man (or woman) who can keep up with my sexual appetite and will do so enthusiastically for the long haul. This has proved to be very difficult to find. Even when things start out promising, they always get tired of my constant need.

My boyfriend right now seems really promising but we have so far been in a long distance relationship and only been able to spend a few days at a time together once or twice a month. He’s pretty perverted though and seems to have a really high drive. So I’m crossing my fingers that I don’t burn him out after a few months like the others. He’s moving in tomorrow.

I specifically avoid conventionally good looking men for either casual or relationships though because my experience has been that they don’t try that hard at all and they’re incredibly boring in bed.
