In all honesty, in modern times, men pretty much offer the same stupid crap that women offer in relationships.

Back in ye olden days before financial independence and sexual liberation, a man having a job, being willing to support a family, and being willing to settle down and commit to one woman and have children with her was valuable.

Today, women have jobs and support themselves, contraception is widespread and readily available, casual sex isn't nearly as judged, and it's stupidly easy for most women to find sex partners (or even relationships) if they want them.

Men have pretty much become replaceable.

What does a man offer a woman in a relationship? The same shit women offer men. Is he cute, fun, down to fuck, and good in bed? Is he pleasant to be around?

That's pretty much all women need now. They don't need a man's money, or a man with some kind of super-dominant hyper-masculine leadership traits. They just want a man who looks good and has good social skills.

The value-disparity comes into play because 99% of men will say yes to sex if the woman asking isn't ugly, while 10% of women will say yes to sex when a man asks.

This makes a woman's willingness to have sex valuable, and a man's willingness to have sex worthless. So if the only thing a man offers any more, now that he's not a provider, is sex and companionship, men are pretty replaceable.

That's where The Red Pill comes into play. If you become a stand-out man in a world full of average chumps, you still only provide the same old shit other men do, but you're far more likely to be the one chosen for sex and companionship.

Why do you think anyone here can convince you of the objective value of something that is inherently subjective? If you dont see the point of having relationships with men then that's fine. No one cares. But what is objective is that, statistically and anecdotally, the majority of people do find great value in having opposite sex relationships.

This is another perfect example of women shunting all responsibility onto men rather than taking on their own hangups. Are there plenty of bad male sexual partners? Sure - but balance that against the women who don't understand their bodies, can't communicate, expect the guy to "get her there," etc. : very different frame!

I have slept with a lot of ladies and I can tell you that the ones who took time to get to know themselves physically and worked with their partners to communicate their needs, LOVE sex. They put in the effort. This stuff isn't turnkey - you have to learn through experience ... so if you and / or your friends are having shitty sexual encounters - grow up and handle your shit!

I out-earn my husband but he brings a lot of value to my life. He has many skills I don’t have and manages things I am bad at. I have never had to set up electricity or internet, I never have to assemble furniture or hang a TV or research a steam cleaner. He basically got me a passport years ago. He’s a fantastic cook and he can reach cabinets I can’t. He’s great in bed. My parents love him. Relationships don't have to be pragmatic. You, as a female (judging by your username), have certainly felt attraction to a dude before knowing how much money he makes, whether or not he eats pussy, or whatever. Why do you feel that attraction?

Relationships offer intimacy and validation. Half of the reward is the intimacy that only comes from being in a relationship between two people who find each other sexually desirable. The other half is a mate that reaffirms or reinforces (validates) a person's status.

That last part probably sounds like bullshit to you, so I'll leave you with an example. I spent about 10 years in the military, and in the military there are a number of social groups for spouses, groups for families to support each other when husbands are deployed and stuff like that. The women in these groups tend to form a hierarchy based on their husband's rank. Most of these women are no more educated, smart, hardworking or whatever than the next woman - they just happened to pull a higher status male and that relationship with a higher status male validates their perceived place in the pecking order among their peers. This happens everywhere else in the world, too, but with a less structured hierarchy of status than military rank.

I’m not looking for a romantic relationship (with men or women), but I value the perspective my male friends bring into my life. Being around women all the time is a blast, but sometimes it’s refreshing to spend some time with men. As much as I like to play up the similarities between men and women, I do acknowledge that there are fundamental differences including differences in perspectives.

It’s nice to have some men in our lives.

But other than that... I’m not personally sure.

Here's an actual answer: Because, despite what the media says and how alot of women FEEL, most women (especially once that have children in my experience) KNOW exactly how what a man brings to the table. I agree that feminism and technology has made male roles obsolete, but most women dont want to fill "men's roles" in society, except calling the shots (and everyone wants to call the shots). My gf can put together furniture and fix things....she can read the instructions just as well as i can, but im the one putting things together and fixing shit. She doesnt need me to reach high for things, she can use a stool for ladder. She doesnt need me to protect her, she can call the police or get a gun. But those are the perks of having a bf.

As a guy, outside of sex, I really have no need for a women. Hell, I can buy sex. I dont need my gf or any girl for anything that will require long term commitment. But I understand her value, so I have a gf.

Women are less likely to orgasm during sex partly due to men, but most due to themselves. Men orgasm easily, women do not. It takes more effort and skill to get a woman off than it does a man (blowjobs are easier than eating pussy). U can blame biology for that.

I say all of that to say just this: If you have a man, you know exactly what he brings to your relationship. If you dont know, maybe you need a new man.
