In fact it is, but good luck getting women on a massive scale to admit it. The notion that women can be (are) just as looks driven and shallow as men when it comes to selecting partners is still a taboo subject to broach because it undermines the 'Women are Wonderful' narrative. Shallowness and being physically lustful towards the opposite sex is something that's reserved only for men in the eyes of the mainstream.

Honestly, I don’t think it has anything to do with looks or attractiveness. I think too many people of all genders are hiding behind computer screens and smart phones and tablets, and neglecting to learn social skills and human interaction. My daughter spent most of high school and the first couple of years of college on Tumblr. Her “friends” were mostly online acquaintances. I doubt she is the only one. Hell, I’m firmly into middle aged and I see more of my friends on FB than I do in person.

I think that there are a few men who have problems attracting women but I don't think that it's an epidemic. I think most men are just greedy for more casual sex than what they are able to currently get and they are envious of the men who are able to have casual sex easily. As for the few men who do have problems attracting women, there is no shortage of "invisible" unattractive women out there who say that they are never asked out. There are also developing countries that these men can travel to to meet women if they have the means to.

Rising epidemic? I'd say there are the same amount as has always been the case. Although in previous eras various forms of polygamy were more widespread and the lower classes of men even more locked out than today.

Anyway, what should be done is stop this ongoing war on masculinity. All this rubbish talk about "toxic masculinity", "rape culture", "mansplaining", the general denigration of masculine role models in popular culture, etc., etc. etc. It is really ubiquitous at this point. A problem for many young men is that they've never been taught how to be men, they've been handled as defective girls through their school years, and their masculinity as a disease. There is an epidemic of single motherhood and a fascist gynocentric school system.

I see trp largely as an (rather defective) attempt to try to readdress this and give the young men back a pride in their masculinity. But if boys were just taught how to be men to begin with, there would be little use for trp.

Female attraction is more based on looks than male attraction. Men just don't understand that female attraction is more primitive and brutish, women are attracted to height and attributes that show aggression and potential for violence when men have more civilized and refined tastes even if they don't dare to admit it, they care about gentleness, a pretty face etc.

What can be done about the issue that unattractive men become marginalized and isolated by the feminist regime is to first of all start talking about the issue until the issue stops being surrounded by shame and ridicule so that we can after that start taking the issue seriously. An aim would be to understand that women are not and have never been victims as a group, but rather devilish oppressors. The next step would be to abolish protectionism of women, put an end to gynocentrism and restrict welfare to those that really deserve it. This way society would become less pretentious and superficial and ugly but good men would have a chance again and the same would apply to women.

Capitalism, contraception, female emancipation and many other factors have not been very kind to the traditional male gender role. I do not think there is an epidemic of unattractive males, but there is clearly a large amount of males who are lost because of destruction and change of the male gender role.

I do not think anything should be done about this on a large scale, I think it is the sole responsibility of the male to adapt the new system, because I think there is nothing you can really do about males being unattractive on a large scale.

most of it comes down to better grooming and physical fitness tbh. A LOT of guys would be shocked at how their problems with women would disappear over night if they controlled for these things. I mean dont get me wrong-some guys lack game and personality and have to improve on that, but ime it doesnt' take much if you look and feel good. Modern dating advice tends to focus too much on the other aspects when it's the superficial that is fucking over guys. And no I dont care that there is that one guy you know that does ok for himself regardless of how he looks. Exceptions only prove the rules. Both bloops and trpers (pua heavy types) tend to make the mistake of downplayig the superficial in favor of personality and game and I just don't get it sometimes

No, most blue pillers would say most men are doing fine, and those who are doing not fine are not doing fine for various reasons - they might be shy around women, they might have bad social skills, they might not go out much and meet women, they might be pretty ugly or have bad hygiene. They might have just had bad luck. They might not have met the right women. They wouldn't say that men who have trouble with women are "failing both women and themselves", on average.

I don't think we should do anything. Some of the biggest problems society faces now stem from our eagerness to subsidize weakness. Don't subsidize weakness, let it compete. It will lose to strength, and we want strength. No amount of tax dollars or bitching on national television is going to solve almost any problem, least of a problem that exclusively falls upon straight men, lol get fucking real.

Automation has existed since the beginning of time - men are outstandingly productive machines. Find some joy in that, do your best, don't pedestalize women, and do you - that's what men can do to find meaning and purpose in this life.

Nothing can be done unless you want to go back to a system that gives men power over women.

Biologically women have less desire for men. Which gives them more power. In order to balance this out and give men a reason to contribute to society, men were given power over women financially, politically, and spiritually, but were supposed to take care of and protect women. This has all changed and men no longer have that power over women, but society still takes care of women and protects them. This leaves us in a situation where women desire men less than men desire women and society/government is there to take care of and protect. Women just don't have any need for a man, especially one that doesn't meet her requirements.

Until men have a suitable alternative for sex and intimacy things aren't going to change.

I don't have a solution, so I don't mind if they want to use RP, PUA, or the Codex Gigas to help themselves get laid or do whatever else they want.

There is a problem for individual men, and that's all I care about to be honest. I don't care about the male gender any more than I care about the female gender. I care if the men I know are happy. Even if it's just one man who is struggling, then I think that's sufficient reason to discuss the issue and try to come up with a solution.

I'd say it's not an epidemic of unattractive men. It's more an epidemic of men who have set their expectations too high. (To be fair, I'd say most women have similar problems.)

An unattractive guy (who by the way probably isn't going to be played by Matthew McConaghey in the autobiography about his life) isn't going to get in bed with Stacy unless Stacy's a high-class hooker and he pays her well for her time. It just isn't going to happen for him. He might, however, get into bed with Trudy, Stacy's frumpy-but-good-natured friend - and is that truly such a bad thing?

Men in "the olden days" were equally unattractive, but they had a realistic sense of scale. They married within their leagues. Maybe modern men need to take note.

There isn't an issue. Some men are just undesirable, but the vast majority end up with someone. Same goes for women.

The anger and misogyny of the incels, and the desperation and hoplessness of the FAs, keeps them where they are in life regardless of how they got there.
