So fun story time. At my last job I worked at Best Buy. I transferred stores and was being shown the store by my supervisor. She very early in the conversation and without asking declared she was a feminist.

So I asked the question, why do feminists always want people to declare themselves feminists? I explained I am egalitarian in my beliefs and agree with equality for all. She explained that feminism is a subset of egalitarianism. Since egalitarian would cover things like race, sexuality, and disability status. Which is an interesting point.

So she says "thats makes you a feminist than." My reply "why can't I be a menanist if it doesn't matter what the title is."

Her reply "thats not what that word means." THATS NOT WHAT FUCKING FEMINIST MEANS!!!

Feminist 'equality' is equality between 'women' and 'men' as classes to dominate society. That's why they are fixated in getting 'women in the boardrooms' but not in putting women on the backs of garbage trucks.

Feminist equality is equality of outcome, the outcome being more power being held by the tribe known as 'women' and power being lost by the tribe known as 'men.'

A lot of people are unaware of the etymology of the word, “man”. The word man has two meanings. A male, and “human kind”. In the 11th century, the word “man” only meant “human kind”. A male was a werman (which is where “werewolf” comes from) and a female was a wifman. Over time, the “wer” got dropped and shortened to “man”, giving the word two meanings, and “wifman” got shortened to “wife”.

Feminism used to be a term that was used to strive for equality. It was "invented" at a time when women had lesser rights than men. Now the term is used by women who want power over everyone not in the same agenda as them and even if people "on their side" have a different opinion than them, they are part of the problem. Feminism used to be a great thing, but it was destroyed by power hungry women.

I can not in good judgment vote for Trudeau. I am against note voting, but if Trudeau becomes the best candidate I will not vote. He has reigned in a new level of feminism. Where Mankind is sexist but the word feminism isn't. It prosperously uses the prefix fem to identify the oppression women face.

But man in mankind is based of Human not Man as in Men. No men should vote for Trudeau. By doing so, belittles yourself.

Trudeau himself is very sexist and discriminatory. He believes Males are not as good as Females. Also being white is a privileged and being another ethnicity deserves help.

I believe in equality for all, and spending money on your citizens. But Trudeau Liberals have only ever spent money on women. No Canadian Man should vote for Trudeau, he does not have your interest in mind. Or the interest of Canada 5-10 years from now.

"Man" comes from a protogermanic word for "person". Man first and foremost refers to humanity. It is relatively recent that "man" took on gendered connotation, and it is secondary to its definition.

As a side note "manos" is greek for hands, which is where we get words like "manually" and "manufacture".

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself. Basically, it's made up of two separate words — "mank" and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

This post doesn't make any sense. Feminism means equality in the sense that it was originally intended to address a very real power imbalance between the genders, so an attempt at empowering women to achieve more of an equilibrium. So yes, feminism has always meant equality, at least until the more radical third and fourth waves. The "mankind as discriminatory" thing is stupid, but I'm not sure what you're complaining about beyond that.

Feminism is called that because it notifies everyone who is the more discriminated group. If you cared to read into the movement you would learn that it does represent not just men as well but better than that, tries to remove the notion that your gender should limit or confine you; that's what "removing/dismantling the patriarchy" means.

I'm not saying there aren't people who say exactly what you've written above, it's erroneous to both you and me, all I'm saying is that: you are responsible for your own morality, not as a response to the groups you're in or against. You have the choice now to recognize the above, or not.

Well one of those terms seeks to describe our species, which includes men and women, but it only acknowledges men making it seem like women aren't apart of our species. The other term describes a movement that seeks to promote women's rights which are seen as lesser to than those of men, thus increasing women's rights seeks to make the rights of men and women equal, ie: equality of genders. Whether you believe women have less rights than men or not, this isn't a very good point.
