Hello, ladies!

I have been giving a lot of thought to this, and, honestly, I'm at a loss.

As rude, invasive and nosey as it is, I still get the question from coworkers or teachers or guys I'm vetting about "How am I still single".

Most of them think they mean it in a "nice" way, as in "you are the whole package", but the "spill the beans about what's wrong with you" is silent and implied in that question. And I'm not going to lie, it triggers my insecurity and makes me go back to how crazy I felt while I had my nvm ex gaslighting me. It makes me feel that there IS something wrong with me that I should hide. How sad is that?

I usually reply "Why would I not be single, I have everything I could possibly want" or "Not a goal in life" and no further explanation.

To some people, that sounds entitled, it doesn't bother me, but what bothers me is... It may sound like I don't want to be in a relationship, but that's not entirely true, I share with many of you the issue of not having found a HVM in this endless ocean of NVM, ZVM and LVM. But I don't feel like giving such an explanation.

How do you answer to that question?
