We don't share that we're on FDS for a reason. It's not safe - just ask any mod, they get death threats regularly. It's not safe in general, and even more dangerous when it comes to sharing with men on reddit (who tend to be particularly unfortunately placed on the spectrum of "low value").

Edit: Another thing is, just in general, if a man doesn't "get it", you drop him. HVM don't need to have fucking "devil's advocate" debates or need to be "educated" or need to wear you down with emotional labour about the ethics of paying for dates or going to dinner or any other dumbass misogynist talking point. They know and they agree. Anyone else is not your problem, and quite frankly, we "wait at the finish line" for a reason. Put your own self-interests first, and keep that bar high in solidarity so other women can hopefully wade through less shit on their way to find a decent partner.

This dude is clearly trying to pretend he is neutral towards FDS when it's absolutely clear that the pornsick reddit scrotes are outraged by our content. Do not fall for this (I'm not saying you did, but I assume other ladies have gotten the same message). The handbook mentions that we don't engage in discussion with them and under no circumstances do we give up identifying information / contact information for safety reasons.

I've gotten weird messages before regarding being in this sub. People have asked for my female perspective on their relationship issues, advice on how to get girls, if I wanted to talk.

My best guess is they want to "interview" you to take snippets out of context and post in anti-FDS subs for laughs. This sub is not well received across a large portion of reddit.

Fake. Why ask a newbie to advocate for the entirety of FDS? Plus, people want cookie cutter answers most of the time. They want take FDS as a group of people who are all the same and want to believe their own narrative about what makes an individual a subscriber.

That would just be insulting in any other context. Clearly he's trying to convey his unawareness of what he (or other podcasters) perceive to be a radical and perhaps unreasonable perspective on dating. But instead of acknowledging that perhaps the ideas shared here are more controversial, he doubles down in the other direction on how it's so boring, he's not even sure why anyone would be interested. Real weird angle if you're looking to open up a line for communication.

Aside from the great points other ladies have mentioned about safety and how he’s likely approaching this in bad faith, isn’t there something in the handbook about not discussing dating strategy with men? It doesn’t keep them from finding out our strategies as they can read the sub or website or listen to the podcast, but we shouldn’t be wasting time trying to justify our standards to anyone. The handbook also says to not spell out too much of what your standards are when you’re talking to a potential date, for the same reason we don’t discuss our trauma - we don’t know yet if he’s someone who will use this information to future fake, hide his red flags, or manipulate us.
