Yes it's THIS thread again, because I have to rant. Sorry that you are reading yet another anti-male therapist thread, queens.

I am seeing a temp therapist (male) while my other one comes back from personal business (also a male who I will cancel our appointments too, because I'm just fucking over it. Tired of therapy.) I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, and hey it's not forever so I'll give it a chance.

We got on the discussion of porn, and I said watching porn is a dealbreaker for me and if my boyfriend watched it, I would break up with him. I thought it would be a quick drop and go and we would end up discussing other things we PLANNED to discuss. The entire session delved into him trying to "open" me up to human sexuality, and how porn is a part of that. Bullet points because I'm over it all.

  • Compared prostitution or the selling of bodies to "no different than a bartender selling drinks."
  • Used a paraplegic man as an example of why sex work is good as he would not "Experience normal human relationships otherwise"
  • Used lonely people for the same example
  • Asked me what I thought of women who found sex work empowering and willingly went into that (Yes I spoke about women who thought it was empowering at first then learned to regret it.)

Just a whole fucking stupid waste of time. And the worst of it all? He said boundaries are "changeable." Boundaries? They're called BOUNDARIES for a reason. I called it a DEALBREAKER for a reason. I was so agitated. I'm citing my sources, statistics, pulling out books I read to show him on zoom that I have actually given this serious thought and I'm not some sexually repressed person, I tell him my boyfriend and I are open sexually and communicate in the bedroom regularly and it's like he's not even listening. He keeps going about how he will "educate me" on human sexuality and we are to take this lightly. Like, BRO. I am EDUCATED, WE KNOW WHAT WE LIKE, and THIS ISN'T ONE OF THEM. God I'm fucking over it all.
