I think we all know what would happen here.

All you need to do is look at what happened recently when America simply started a conversation around including women in the draft. They back peddled so fast, it was like watching the tour de France in reverse!

As others have said, feminists would likely just mobilise to shame men into dying (white feather campaign etc) for their protection and utilise the exact rhetoric they supposedly rail against to legitimise their actions as a means to escape service themselves.

Even if society miraculously held them accountable for their words and forced able women into the military, I suspect that you'd simply see pregnancy rates go through the roof as women use that as a way to escape service.

Would they go show us equality and fight for us men , while we protect ourselves and stay safe??

I don't think anybody would want this, men or women. The most hard line MRA typically just want equality on this front - for women to bear the same societal burden as men if they want the same rights; for women who are able to be fighting alongside men who are able in defence of the values and freedoms we all hold dear, instead of attacking us in peace time but expecting us to lay down our lives in defence of them at times of war.

And why should we as men protect women who are against us in everything??

We shouldn't..... But we would. We always have and probably always will, society drills into all of us that we have an innate duty to protect women and children. It's why white knights are so prevelant.

Well, let's look at what happened when the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan. The Afghan Army actually fought fiercely during the first capital sieges, and were then given a choice between surrendering and certain execution. They surrendered to have some semblance of life after the war.

Feminists naturally berated them. Some choice quotes:

We provided the Afghanistan army with 20 years of training, equipment and funds; as soon as the Taliban came in they dropped their weapons and surrendered or turned tail and ran.

What happened to the Afghan army charged to protect the country? Not a shot fired. All the people want is freedom and peace, not to be controlled by a bunch of medieval fanatical nutjobs.

Honestly, the US army should have trained Afghani women instead of men at least they wouldn't have run away from the battlefield.

So, this was what was being spun by feminists on the issue. The top two quotes were from TwoX, the bottom from feminism. The reality of the situation is from 2001, nearly 70,000 Afghan Army soldiers, all men, died fighting the Taliban. They fought against the approach of the Taliban late in 2021 as well, but they lost due to weakening infrastructure and the rug being pulled out from underneath their feet.

I suppose my answer to your question is that what would feminists do during war? A whole lot of nothing, really. But they would point the finger at men quite happily.

I think the bigger issue at hand is this:

If a country is going to have a conscription policy in place for their military, it should be mandatory for everyone, regardless of gender (barring medical disabilities); and it should be instituted not just during war time, but also during peace time.

Example: Israel requires mandatory 1 year military service (applicable to both men and women) regardless of the current state of geopolitical affairs.

This assures that:

Everyone is prepared to fight should an actual war breakout.
It forces everyone to assess proper use of force based on boots on the ground, first-hand knowledge from their time served.
We ride together, we die together - Bad Boys for life.

To be fair modern wars don't often have front lines in the way that they traditionally did. Many people in advanced western militaries have faced frontline combat when they really weren't intended to because they're cooks or sappers or medical orderlies, and that goes for both men and women. I don't think that a modern war (such as the one that seems about to kick off in Ukraine) actually gives us the option to keep certain people away from the front line, even if we wanted to, because they're so mobile and unpredictable.

I think protection of women is an evolution of masculine protection of ownership of reproductive rights with a particular woman. It was logical in the past that women traded being raped by any man who was stronger than she was at any time, with having sex with one man who would protect that availability in exchange for resources. It was still not ideal for women because childbirth was risky and liable to be repeated constantly. Then men developed contraceptives and safe abortion techniques which vastly reduced the risk to women. Now we have women still dissatisfied and not wanting to be pursued over sex, but wanting to mate only with attractive men when she wishes to do so and not be held responsible for her actions.

It's possible protection of ownership of reproductive rights is embedded in male DNA and can not be changed, however, reason may begin to moderate that expression when men realise they are being taken advantage of.

I don't think men can help protecting women, but I think they can do something about achieving what they want that is within their own control.

Protection can also be a curse when taken to extremes and I think women need to be careful that men don't protect them from everything, including themselves in order to save civilisation.

I'm also not sure what might happen when protection of reproductive rights is no longer possible because women have opposed that protection. How will men respond? Will it manifest as "if I can't have you then no-one will", which is actually happening more frequently in murder suicides.

I don't think women will actually fight for men: I think it more likely that men will eventually refuse to lay down their lives for no return for themselves through rationality overriding biology. It's horrific how veterans are being treated for their service and its not going unnoticed by men. I think a revolution is on the cards as reason overtakes the status quo.
