What do I care what you do? Why would you even care what we think? Do what you think will make you happy. You seem to have made up your mind about men anyway.

As for other women, a lot of them are hetero and a lot of them put a lot of importance on romantic relationships. They talk about them with their friends, watch movies and reality TV shows about them, read books and websites about them, etc. They know that some men do bad things and still think it's worth it to pursue relationships with men. There is some kind of drive to do it and I don't think you're going to convince a lot of them to drop it.

And no, I don't think boycotting will force the minority of men who commit violent sexual crimes to change their ways. They already don't give a fuck. Women were already saying no to them and then they tried to take it by force. Getting women to say no to men who they do want to have sex with is not going to prevent this from happening.

I’m in a happy relationship but see why 4b is more viable than dating for many. My single friends stories are pretty grim and my own list of exes prior to the man I’m with would probably have me swearing off men too if there hadn’t been a break in the clouds

I do sorta side-eye the constant “see men see we don’t need you” almost every video I see about 4b is in response to some loser dude talking shit on the internet.

The people ( often risking their lives ) to stop rapists and criminals are also men. The people who punish criminals more harshly when the crime is against a woman are men. The people who created the criminal justice system in the first place to make the world a rules-based, instead of strength-based system ( which benefits women more as they are physically weaker ) are men.

The entire human civilization is designed to value and protect women. You can accuse men ( historically ) of being too controlling / smoothering / infantilizing to women, but men worked really hard to create a world where women can be safe.

If women feel that's the best option, by all means go for it. However... I also think dating is an adult skill that isn't really that hard to master (that is, if anyone is interested in dating you in the first place). It's really just the process of getting to know someone as a person. For all the times women say "try treating women as people!", guess what? In this particular case, when you're pointing at someone, there's 3 fingers pointing back at you. The mythologizing (and "othering") starts with the whole "confidence" fetish.

But like I said, if you're competency is very low in this area, don't date. It's a respectable choice. Some people choose never to learn to drive a car. That's not a bad analogy as it's also a skill that isn't impossible to master, but to choose not to is also a respectable choice.

As far as the proselytizing goes, it's not a bad thing. People shouldn't date until they are ready and feel confident that they can at least enforce some basic boundaries, deploy some basic communication skills, and so on.

I mean, people are more than welcome to do so if they believe it'll bring about change. People can do that if they are unhappy with their situation. I respect the decision either way.

But, realistically, the type of men you're describing would do that regardless of whether someone is boycotting or not. To cause any effect you would have to see enormous participation too, which seem unlikely. If anything I just suspect it would be detrimental to the people participating.

Surely there exists more grounds of which we can engage on with this issue without resorting to do things like that? Maybe I'm just missing something, but something about resorting to that just makes me uncomfortable.

Collective punishments tend to already have limited effectiveness when working as intended, and in reality in works even less well [than in theory] as those actually guilty often dodge any real consequences while bystanders having nothing to do with the crimes gets saddled with said consequences.

Taking out all the rage & frustrations on law abiding males isn't going to convince the based & redpilled real men of the manosphere the errors of their ways. If anything, it will vindicate their ideological tenets while driving more males into those radicalized groups.

It doesn't matter that it's the morally virtuous choice, as the worldly effects will not reflect moral convictions. Also genuine moral virtues are wholly independent of worldly results.

First of all, you can't compare the situation that women in South Korea face to what women in the US face. So US women adopting the tenants of the 4B movement to help them address the concerns you refer to is a foolish endeavor because there is virtually 0% chance of success.

Men exhibit aggression physically while women do so socially. So you're just as likely to end one form of aggression as you are the other. Additionally, trying to make physical violence a gender issue is pretty ignorant given that men are far more often the victim of all violence.

Lastly, on the topic of sexual violence, your idea is that you're going to get all men to stop raping women because women are refusing to sleep with men? Something tells me that a man who is willing to rape a woman won't be terribly concerned about her attempts to withhold sex.
