Anecdotally most of my guy friends are in commited relationships and single friends are looking for committed relationships. On the other hand, I’ve dated women for months who say they’re not sure if they want a boyfriend only to eventually ghost.

I think the issue is how quickly people adapt to good things. Like your first paycheck from a 6 figure job seems like so much money but after a month or so you’re adjusted to earning that much and then you don’t “feel” wealthy anymore. Afterwards it seems impossible that you ever lived below that. I think if a woman is getting strung along by an attractive guy then she expects that she can find a guy equally as attractive who will commit to her. Like her bar has permanently been raised however the majority of men who meet her adjusted standards know they can “do better” so will happily keep them at an arms lengths and enjoy the attention without the commitment. I want to say as well the more you get burned by someone the more quick you are to filter people as well.

It’s not to blame women for getting burned but it’s really frustrating to constantly hear how shitty men are all the time with stories of women bending over backwards for men who clearly don’t want them meanwhile I’ll have someone I think is interested in me stop talking to me after I said I went on a bike ride lol.
