The idea that women are basically irrational teenagers but men are paragons of rationality.

The reality is that everyone has a lizard brain that is irrational and hormonal (men too, its just more situationally reactive than monthly-cyclical). We're all prone to cognitive biases.

Not only that, but I think part of TRP's idea of men being rational and women being irrational is that TRP tends to attract higher-than-average-systemizing males... which leads to a self-reinforcing feedback loop because TRP men aren't really hanging around with average men, the TRP men implicitly treat themselves as "average," and thus come to the conclusion they're a representative sample of "normal" men.

Normal men have one hell of a lizard brain. That's where all the macho chestbeating thug-jock high-school-bully tribalism shit lies. Where reason and individuality are dissolved into the emotional and collective (if you think I'm wrong, look at any big sportsball match). That's just as much a deviation from the rational temperament as the feminine equivalent.

I read this sub mainly because the realities described by many (mainly male) participants on here is so far away from what I observe daily around me, it could well be a different universe. So quite curious how people come to this mindset.

What gets me, though, and what I could not add up so far is the logical consistency. The Red Pill, from my lay observer perspective, has two quite key beliefs. They manifest in different forms, but probably could be summarised as:

(1) women are intrinsically irrational (pretty much in all areas of life, but most often mentioned in the context of mating / pairing behaviours).

(2) women have an upper hand in the dating context and are winning the battle of sexes.

As someone who was quite interested in game theory at some point in my life, I find this contradictive. Someone who constantly wins the game, by definition, has a more rational strategy compared to someone who loses. It might be different, of course, from the perspective of the benefit of species as a whole, but I don't see this point argued often (or at all).

That women are less logical/rational than men. Everyone makes decisions based on emotion. These guys seem highly emotional but won’t acknowledge it, making them behave more irrationally in many cases. Anger is an emotion.

Not sure if specific to RP, but that average women have access to “top” men or that most women sleep around with said men before setting down or have a higher n count on average than men. Or that most people in general have many partners. Men tend to have slightly more and it’s still not very many for either. We’re talking 4-6.

80/20 rule… women find 80% of men unattractive based on their terrible profile pics. But they still date average men. Dating apps are bad for men due to the gender ratio which is probably actually worse due to bots and sex workers. Irl, the gender ratio is about 50/50. Most women do not want to be in one-sided poly relationships with Chad. Those who do, are generally in it for money/fame, they don’t love or genuinely desire the guy. If a woman is in love she wants the man to herself. Someone like Melania Trump is glad when someone else has to fuck her husband that night instead of her. It’s polygyny, but not necessarily the kind most men fantasize about.

Criticizing "304s" but also saying you should blow a woman off or use manipulation tactics if she doesn't put out on the first date or saying you should be able to sleep around and cheat even if married.

Obsessing about women's fertility but ignoring how their sperm quality declines with age.

Hyper-focus on biology/appeal to nature fallacies. Whereas the left hyper focus on social constructs, TRP hyperfocuses on (admittedly, cherry-picked, biology), at the same time saying that feminism has "corrupted" women and modern media is "feminizing" men - so they are at least subconsciously aware that we can be affected by socialization...

There's a few contradictions. There's loads more but I would be here all day.

I always find it weird that TRP creators will say that there are things women will never understand about men, but then be shocked pikachu when women say things that make sense to other women but not the men. An example would be when a creator will say that women only use make-up to attract the opposite sex, the women will say "No, I do it for my myself or to show my friends.". To be honest, the worst part about the red pill is that it attempts to make a science out of dating and then treats it like a strategy game. This seems to leads to men just sitting at home and theorizing "how things are", listening to podcasts and yt videos and getting increasingly bitter. The truth here is that you just have to gain experience and actually go out. I am a not particularly attractive man, women always ignored me, but at some point I just said fuck it and started asking girls out. At first, of course I made mistakes, but I got better at it eventually. Now I am in a happy relationship. There are a lot of soft skills involved that you don't learn from youtube etc. And by that I don't even mean "seducing", but rather things like keeping a converalsation going etc. The red pill, although it raises some interesting points, shouldn't be consumed by single and unhappy men I think...
