If you’re uncomfortable with it, go with your gut and take a step back to analyze what you want and if that vibes with the situation
Don’t listen to people on here giving blanket advice about just shutting up and accepting it
[–]lio94 186 points187 points188 points 4 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
If its bothering you move on and find another woman. No need to justify why you feel a certain way. Some will tell you she fucked around too much and she isnt trustworthy. Others will say it does not matter its her life she could do whatever she wanted. Do what feels right to you personally. If you rather not be with her dont feel bad about it, same if you do want to be with her, be honest with yourself.

I think this is the best advice here… most balanced at least

Yes my issue was not that the she had casual encounters. Even I had them. But If I talk about them or the body count, I won't go much into detail about it with her, as it might spur some kind of insecurity or just make her feel awkward.
Even we had started out casual, but we gelled so well that relationship was inevitable and we both are madly in love with each other.
It's not a matter of being with her or not, but the thought that why doesn't she realise describing it might make me uncomfortable.

[–]blockfuture 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah maybe she just feels comfortable to talk to you. That would be healthy. You should be able to talk about these things with a partner.
[–]SharedHappiness 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Because most people want to be in an open and authentic relationship where they are unconditionally loved instead of assuming that their partner is emotionally fragile to the point that they have to hide their past from them.
Work on your communication if certain topics bother you and ask her what topics bother her. It's easy to fall into the newness of a relationship, but these conversations keep the embers hot.
Understand that she might want to know more about your past to help her understand you better and so she can be a better partner for you.

Gotta love when people act like not wanting to picture your gf graphically blowing a dude makes you fragile.

Probably a girl answering it or someone virtue signalling
[–]soywasabi2 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Gotta love when people act like getting upset when your girlfriend shares a sexual experience makes you strong.
Just because something doesn't make you happy doesn't mean it has to upset you. If it upsets you then you're projecting your own insecurities to make someone feel bad about being authentic with you.
Though, it's perfectly okay if he doesn't want to hear any details if his insecurity outweighs the authentic conversation and connection they would be able to form with their partner. It can still be a good relationship but with more "no-go zones."
[–]swirl_game 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
As opposed to wanting to picture your bf eating the puffet of another girl? Which he seems to have zero problem discussing. Maybe he's just weak and deserves to be alone.
[–]_Toomuchawesome 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
yeah. the detail that she puts is really odd but honestly, i really think its because she's young.

It's not a matter of being with her or not, but the thought that why doesn't she realise describing it might make me uncomfortable.
So these two right here day the true problem.
Instead of seeing her as a unique being with her own ideas of what's acceptable or not, and instead of discussing with her what you're comfortable with or not, you've instead just assumed that she'd have the same mindset as you and also feel uncomfortable with others sexuality.
You're also trying to act like a past never existed before you, that the only memories that matter are the ones with you now, and truthfully that does come across as uncaring controlling and unstable - why would I truly trust someone who has a history of seeing each ex and experience as 'right now only for me' and once it's over never talked about again? Would I really matter to such a person? Do I really want to invest in someone who'll one-day forget all about me?
Ontop of that theres the fact that you could be reading in WAY too much to a giggle - you were BOTH talking sexual. She told you something and giggled. Maybe that was her sign she wanted that with you?
[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So this was in her past, and you had similar experiences, but you are uncomfortable with knowing. Why did you engage in a conversation about the past if you didn't want to hear it? Would you have preferred that she lied or shut down the conversation entirely? Either get over it or break up with her.
Do you think she would feel uncomfortable if she knew her boyfriend was currently on a seduction subreddit? Or is it fine because you're not telling her?
[–]MohdSalahh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We were just talking about how would it be if we met a year earlier. It's not exactly about her past experiences. We have never yet talked about our past experiences, it's just something she brings up here and there. Something like when we discuss how good we are at going down on each other, she would mention she is good because she was NSA with a guy wouldnt get erect unless she blew him for an hour.
For me that info was unnecessary. I never asked her how did she get good at it. That wasn't any of my concern.
[–]RexTheOnion -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Been there, you have to either accept that it was in the past before you guys met and let it go. Or it's going to keep eating away at you.
My advice is to let it go and accept that it was before you guys met. I made the mistake to keep asking, which in the end only fed insecurity.

The other option is break up and go get the casual experiences whose lack is obviously the root of OP’s emotional problem here.
The suppressed giggle means she got something back then that she doesn’t think OP can give her, and a lack of sexual respect will undermine any chance they have of seriously bonding.
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Might be because of prior experiences, but I would definitely think of it as a condescending giggle. I personally wouldn't take this person serious moving forward, because I learned my lesson once.
[–]TaypHill 90 points91 points92 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
i agree with the first paragraph wholeheartedly.
But i don’t know about the second one. I feel like there are many reasons she could have giggled, probably some funny experience that she had. And to suppose she laughed because she got something her boyfriend couldn’t give and that there is a lack of sexual respect seem like a baseless supposition.
[–]surfershane25 43 points44 points45 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She could’ve giggled out of a nervous reflex or have been being sarcastic as she thinks this is better as well… there’s so much context missing without her side of the story.

[–]TrumpsFactChecker 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
True, that would be an option. However, the root of OP's problem doesn't have to come from lack of experiences. Idk him so I can't tell. It can come from all types of ideas/insecurities.
I believe OP should "unpack" the emotions himself. Instead of hearing other people's imaginations. It could very well be OP thought to much about the giggle, and is imagining stuff way worse then it is.
[–]MohdSalahh 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have had sexual experiences and casual as well. But the thing I won't be excited to talk about it or thrilled to share it with my gf. I have made it a point not to do that in the relationship as it might make her uncomfortable.
[–]thefestivalfilmmaker 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Knowing one's past provides a lot of insight into values and is a fairly reliable predictor of future behavior. Yes. people can grow and change; but, if the motivations for part of the behavior are founded in insecurity self-worth issues, those are not likely to vanish without serious work over a period of years.

she’s still in a relationship with you.
For now. OP's completely in the dark about things (hardly even understands his own feelings) and seems to be deeply programmed by the feminist movement.
Do you really think a woman who respects and is attracted to her man, would behave as OP described? It doesn't matter if she's fucked 300 men, she'll "come correct" when she's with a guy that she considers an ideal mate.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Idk I wasn’t there. Half the guys in this thread are acting like she cackled in his face and called him a worm or some shit.

[–]Aquix 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Idk I wasn’t there.
That's fair, but we're going off of OP's description.
I do think you’d have to be an insane individual to date someone long term that you aren’t attracted to and don’t respect.
Not at all. Women do this all the time for resources. It's an effective strategy. That doesn't mean she won't cheat on him or leave him the moment she sees a reliable opportunity to date up.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Whatever man you just sound bitter to me. Idk maybe I’m wrong
[–]Aquix 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Which part about anything I've said sounds "bitter" to you? Regardless, you should be able to argue with what I'm saying, instead of with how you think I feel. I'll do you a solid and elaborate a bit on these concepts.
You shouldn't be surprised that so many guys in this thread are repulsed by the girl's reaction. Let go of the illogical programming such as, "female promiscuity is no different than male promiscuity" or "if a girl is still in a relationship with a guy, it must mean that she respects him".
Here's the logic laid out: 1. Girls are sexually attracted to a guy if they view him as alpha. 2. Girls show respect to a man when they view him as alpha and want his genes. 3. In turn, a girl will maximize her attractiveness for the alpha. She does this with things such as maximizing "purity" (portraying that she's the opposite of the neighborhood sock), being as feminine as possible and being submissive, showing vulnerability, feigning orgasms, and more.
The only reason why you'll find women not doing that with a guy is when they view him as very beta. In OP's case, the girl didn't care about her purity and was more than comfortable with expressing the joy of her memories (with giggles). Females don't respect beta men. Females stuck in relationships with beta men eventually develop disgust for them and resent them. It's really that simple. But if this is all so unbelievable to you, you don't have to take my word for it. Try being intentionally beta in a future relationship and see how the environment changes.
[+]MrHouseGang -8 points-7 points-6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The fact that OP even needs this explanation. The fact that it makes him feel uneasy at all is a red flag. I joke with my girl that if I had met her a year prior I would have treated her like shit. Be glad she had those experiences. You could have turned out to be another learning experience but you’re still in the game

She prolly fucked Hella dudes my guy
[–]ChadCyrus 59 points60 points61 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's fine that she's had lots of experiences. But it won't do well on your conscious as long as you feel insecure about it. Sounds like you need to experience more of the dating pool before seriously dating someone who has a dense past.
A lot of guys go through this, realising that their female partner has experienced a lot more even though they're younger. If you're insecure I recommend you break up. Otherwise you'll only turn to resentment towards her and it'll lead to a nasty end.
[–]willgo-waggins 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly.
More often than not in those years and especially today the women have had more experience/partners than the men if they want to simply because there are always guys available to have in quantity and there are far fewer women who are living that phase or life.
It is a rare guy who is on equal or more experienced footing and even rarer that a man that young has the self confidence and moxie to not be threatened by that sort of a history.
[–]norwegiandoggo 135 points136 points137 points 4 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link
You're feeling insecure and jealous. Now you know what you're feeling so you don't have to be confused anymore.

Men sleep with many women = no problem.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Which is really unfair
[–]norwegiandoggo -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I don't think this is relevant to what we're discussing. And you know who shame those men are other men. It's not women.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link
What? I've totally had women make fun of me for it and tell me to just go get laid, it's so easy.
I had an ex who said I needed "training" and literally compared me to a monkey after we did second base the first time.
What you're saying is, it's a problem that hookup culture is unfair for women, but it's no problem that hookup culture is unfair for some men.
And that's exactly the same toxic stance that most of hookup culture takes. Some men can just go fuck themselves, everyone else has a past, you just failed.
It is relevant to feeling really bad about a partner's post
[–]norwegiandoggo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link
I'm sorry you've had such bad experiences. My life has been quite different from yours. I've never been shamed by women for lack of experience but men have shamed me a lot. You know the term "simp". Well that's a word that frequently gets used by men on this forum to shame other men. I'm sure you agree with that right?
One thing I want to get through to you is that most men are acting in a counter-productive way. They shame women for acting in the way they want women to act. They are punishing women for being sexual, while complaining about how women aren't being sexual with them. That is blatant hypocracy.
Yes, men also experiece unfairness in the casual sex market. Both things can be a problem at the same time. It's not one or the other. It's not men versus women.
If you want women to have more casual sex with you, then you should take the stance that you applaud women who have casual sex. Not shame it. This is the core of the issue. Don't shame behavior you would like to see more of. If you want more sex then it behooves you to be as little sexually shaming as possible. Because women will be much more responsive and positive towards a man when she doesn't have to worry about him shaming her sex life.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
Women are being sexual, but only with the people they find sexually attractive.
That means naturally some people will fail.
So even if the problem was solved and no men felt the need to shame women... nothing would actually change. Because nobody would really still be sexual with those dudes. Women only go after dudes they find attractive. Women are still sleeping around, and they are enjoying it, and at the end of the day, the shaming isn't holding them back from anything. They don't have an actual problem
So when it comes to relationships... yeah, I'm gonna dump a girl who tells me I need training from an expert on sex who won't think me being vulnerable isn't special (because I've never been that vulnerable because no girl trusts me or wants me that much). And I'm gonna make sure my first time is with someone who appreciates it
[–]norwegiandoggo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
So you're an incel right? And you want to lose your virginity? If so, you would be wise to listen to someone who has gone that path before you.
It seems you're of the idea that men are good guys who have all the unfair problems thrown their way. And women don't have problems. Men are good, women are bad. Why? Because women have rejected you and you feel hurt. Women have just as much problems in dating as men. It's hard to have empathy for the types of people that hurt you (in this case, women), but you're extremely biased here due to your traumatic experiences. Your lack of empathy for the female condition will paradoxically, as well as your sexual shaming, make you extremely undesirable for women. So the trauma that happened to you has now given you a ton of baggage which you haven't yet handled properly. That's part of the reason why you're still a virgin. You're still bitter towards women. And that is an extreme turn-off. Just like you would be majorly turned off by any woman who is generally bitter towards men. After you've experienced trauma inflicted by others, you can either move towards hate and shame. Or you can move towards love, understanding, empathy and acceptance.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Women have a different set of problems than men.
Women can be in dangerous situations and have a ton of problems with safety and can't find the relationships they want. They are a lot of the time.
But they can find all the casual sex they could ever want. My least attractive girl friends succeeded eventually.
They completely ignore dudes who complain about casual sex because they could never understand what it's like to be physically starved for attention your whole life. I have to watch as it happens, too, only to be told I'm just not trying hard enough, and it's just a mindset problem, and "no I don't want to, stop being so creepy."
So girls want to be understood and want empathy without having to care about men's feelings and mental health. Okay. That's the game as I already understood it. And I play by those rules, and I still end up failing. I have helped girls through traumatic rape experiences and stuff like that, and they thought of me as a friend. Didn't help shit with my sex life dawg.
And people keep succeeding all around me. And then I complain a bit about not getting laid. "Oh dude it's just an attitude problem, maybe don't be so angry at women, just be nice to them."
Vicious cycle towards an early death. It's not like I openly judge girls on dates... I treat them like people.
It's not a problem when I judge her for causal sex after she expects emotional investment from me
Guess what? At the end of the day, if girls don't find you sexually attractive, it doesn't matter what you do.
I cheered on my friends and some of them slept with a lot of their friends who weren't me. Me being pro-casual-sex didn't change shit. I'm invisible either way.
Girls still sleep around, and will sleep around with the same type of people, regardless of who shames them.
I'm so done with this whole thing

You do realise regardless of what we are fed by social media, men and women aren’t actually the same when it comes to relationships and sex?
[–]norwegiandoggo -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah we aren't the same. But we shouldn't hold each other to different moral standards. Neither does it make mathematical sense. I would assume if you're here on a seduction forum you want people to have more sex. Not less. So it makes no sense in that case to have the value that women should have less sex. You just want every man to get less sex in that scenario. If women have less sex, so will men. Unless you want men to start fucking each other
[–]150420throwaway -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There’s a difference between having sex with a few guys and getting ran through because ‘sekshuel libiracion’. I’m most likely not going to be someone’s first, don’t care about that, but if a chick is getting ran through by x amount of different guys, then I won’t be able to treat her seriously.
As to why we think that way - it’s literally hardwired in our brains and our biology. From an oonga-boonga point of view, we could and have numerous kids, won’t say infinite, but a huge number of kids if we were to have a different woman for every time we had sex, women could and can only have one every 9 months. What does that imply - men fuck more to make sure they pass on their genes and women have to filter for the best potential partner possible. If she’s getting ran through by every other dude in the city, then from an evolutionary stand point, she has a terrible ‘filter’.
(Not necessarily the person I’m responding to, but anyone who wants to do the following) Throw any buzzword at me you want; sexist, ‘iNcEl’, etc, if you really want to, it will be a great way of indicating the overdose of copium you’re on.
[–]norwegiandoggo 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
We usually don't have sex for evolutionary purposes anymore. We (well, some of us) have a more developed brain that can override our evolutionary impulses. We can choose not to have children for example. We can choose to not shame women for fucking around if we, as a group of men, want women to have casual sex with us.
There’s a difference between having sex with a few guys and getting ran through because ‘sekshuel libiracion’
Correction: To you there's a difference. I have no problem with you having a personal preference. I have a problem with you stating your preference as if they're universal and all women should align with your personal preference. I am a man and I want women to have more casual sex. Not less. Because to men who like casual sex, that makes sense. Shaming women for behavior you want to see more of makes no logical sense.
I think the main difference between us is that you don't like casual sex but I do. So you shame women for having casual sex. And I applaud it.
[–]150420throwaway -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It doesn’t matter if it’s primal or that nowadays we can ‘override our impulses’, because a few generations of modern changes won’t change thousands of years of evolution. Also, spare yourself the passive aggressive statements next time, because I can be petty as well.
You mentioned mathematics before, tell me, 10 and 100 guys is a fairly big difference. So it’s not a matter of if it’s only a difference to me, it’s a matter of it being 10x more, which is a significant amount.
Of course they don’t have to align, I’m just stating what a lot of men will either think or openly say themselves - a woman who brags about having a huge number of partners isn’t anything attractive, it’s just a red flag for the previously mentioned reasons and there probably being something wrong in the first place in some of the cases.

Maybe she got of another relationship and wasn’t ready to emotionally invest in someone
[–]MohdSalahh 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So we did talk then and would always discuss hooking up but later I started seeing someone. What she said was probably we might be casual but not in a relationship a year ago.
Even now when we started off again, it was casual where we would try different things in bed but later found out that we are quite compatible.
Anyway it's not a judgement of her, but on the lines of if she feels I might find it odd. What if I talk about it in the same way?
[–]ConstructionRich7891 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Maybe she was fucking someone more exciting that time she wouldn't left him. Most secure she was left
[–]willgo-waggins -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She had the experiences she sought out and moved in from it.
Should she somehow be hung with a scarlet letter for that? And she has chosen to settle down and be in a relationship now since she is comfortable that she has the experience.

[–]willgo-waggins 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
You can either handle this or not. And the fact that you are posting this here tells me definitively that you cannot handle it.
I would say that you should bring the relationship to a close by being honest and saying that you aren’t ready to handle that.
And this also lends proof to what I say constantly here that there are things like that that should not be shared in a relationship because somebody always gets but hurt even though YOU WERE NOT IN THEIR LIFE THEN and it had nothing to do with you now.
[–]MohdSalahh 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I completely agree with you, I don't feel anything about the experiences she had but about how nonchalantly she brings it up. Also topped with the fact that she has high expectations from us now and is probably rushing it while a year ago she just wanted to be casual.
[–]willgo-waggins 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
Well that’s different.
You had not mentioned high expectations on her part before.
In that case she should be keeping that shit to herself and not playing games. I’d be a lot more hardcore in that situation TBH.
[–]MohdSalahh 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
She has mentioned that she want this to last and has even told her mom about me and asked to meet her.
[–]willgo-waggins -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Well then I would focus on that and not some bullshit from her last that has NOTHING to do with you.
You are her man right now. Love the present or you will lose it.
You Ate seriously overreacting. Don’t listen to young guys here. I’m far older and have been through the wars. She’s into you. Live it and enjoy it and DON’T FUCK IT UP by getting your head and ego involved where it doesn’t belong.

I think you’re reading too much into the giggle lol. You should be happy that she’s being pretty open about that shit with you. There are a lot of girls who don’t know what they want or are too embarrassed to talk about shit.
I actually think her communication level is pretty damn good. It’s not like she’s some hypocrite who is regretting her decisions and making lies up to cover things up or whatever, she’s telling you straight up, this is what I wanted in the past, and this is what I want now.

It's a red flags to look back fondly on the sexual escapades you had in the past? In that case, every dude here above a certain age is a walking red flag, and pretty much every woman above a certain age is a red flag too.
[–]gabowashere 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
The OP's gut clearly told him something that we werent there to pickup, otherwise he wouldnt have wrote in. The fact that she giggled after telling him her sexual past is probably a red flag in my opinion. She pretty much said "I used to be a hoe and am lowkey proud of it lol"
[+]willgo-waggins -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I would bet my next months salary that the giggle was a reminder of something she found stupid or ridiculous and not something ultra sexy super orgasmic.
You all sound like a pack of young incels with severe misogynistic issues man! Wow!
People laugh at shit and usually it’s not a fond memory but rather something that was stupid and amusing.
[–]MohdSalahh 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Her words where , "I was looking for something devoid of emotions, something just sexual and it worked out reaally well, hihihi"
Also, it's not the first time. Earlier she had talked about how she was in a NSA with a guy, where he would guide her to blow him in a certain way. This was from a discussion which originated from us talking about how good her BJ was that night, and I felt uncomfortable with why would she bring that up so casually.
It's completely okay to be proud of our hoe phases, but I find it difficult when someone shares it so casually with giggles/nonchalantly with their partner.
I expect everyone has a past, even I had mine including a hoe phase but at the same time I make sure that those remain in the past or I don't discuss it in detail.
[–]ConstructionRich7891 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Bro, listen, she is not udoing a favor by beign your gf. You deserve better. Everyone has a past (sluts or womanizer) but that is something nobody should bring it up casually and funny. She is not compatible with u in this, and this is a key factor for you relationship. I suggest to move on. You will find another girl u still young. Stay strong king. Put yourself first
[–]willgo-waggins -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’m so it sounds like you can’t handle it and therefore you should end the relationship.
It’s not rocket science man. Either you can deal with it and recognize that despite your obvious Faulk ga she sees something who’s she wants to be with in you, or you blow her off because of a past that had ZERO to do with you and lose out and take your chances with what might be it there.
Your decision.

Giggling is rubbing it in your partner's face? I'm pretty sure giggling is an involuntary reaction
[–]Santa1936 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
To bring them up to your partner casually? Yeah. It is.
[–]norwegiandoggo -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Why? Not everyone is that jealous and insecure to where that would bother them. Me and my partner have talked plenty about past escapades. It's not big deal. Red flag for what? People have a past, they've fucked other people and it felt good for them. Get over it. Stop the virgin idealizing. It's okay for women to have sex, enjoy it and think about their past fondly, and talk about sex. In fact, I bet you most men would be happier if women felt more sexually free..they would you know.. get more sex if they treated women like that instead of sexually shaming or feeling insecure and jealous because a woman is giggling about a past sexual experience.

While people all around me get hugs, kisses, sex, and a shit ton of other stuff my physically starved ass will never get as long as I'm alive.
And I'll get to watch it. What's so hopeful about that? That sounds fucking miserable. Why do I want to live that life, anyway?
And when did you lose your virginity
If I were you I would address that clinical depression you seem to be dealing with first. And don't go getting rejected all by yourself without social support. Find another guy on the same path as you, so you can go out together and support each other on your journey.

She had a lot of fun riding the CC and thinks its cute. I'd bet real money this young woman is going to have a real challenge with commitment and monogamy. I'd look for her to cheat on you in less than a year.
[–]RoseTinted64 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
She is testing you. Don’t take the bait (i’m guessing you already did). You have two options : 1) Don’t care (this can’t be faked). 2) Keep her as a plate, and pursue other women in the interim. Your very young, I recommend you casually date her and other women at the same time. Women test men like this all the time. There is a good chance she was absolutely pursuing something with emotions but couldn’t find it, then you came along. Women test men like this all the time. She wants to know if a promiscuous past would bother you, not because she wants to know you care, but because a man who is bothered by this is by default a lower value than her.
[–]MohdSalahh 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's cool if she has experience, but if she rubs it in your face or brings it up without context then I would dip.
Also the part about pursuing a serious relationship before you met is probably true. Women can really pull above their range if it's just NSA, but for relationships, they have to be realistic.

In reality a lot of women (for the imbeciles that jump to conclusions - no, I do not mean every single woman on this planet, not even the majority) branch up from their existing relationships when they get the chance, so in essence, he’s just putting thoughts of something that is ALREADY happening, into words.
[–]Moejason -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I disagree, if someone’s happy in a relationship they’re content to stay where they are. I think there’s a heavy assumption in this sub that the ideal partner is someone who is intensely physically attractive when there are so many other aspects to consider.
Like I find my gf attractive physically, emotionally, and in terms of her personality. I’m not looking to ‘branch upward’ and I’m as certain as I can be that neither is she. I realise you said ‘a lot’ not ‘all’ but even then, I don’t think that’s the case unless there’s something seriously wrong with someone’s partner.
Like I think the assumption here is referring to women who are superficial or materialistic, but even if that’s the case - these are still people with their own wants and desires. If they ‘settle’ for someone, I don’t think many do so lightly unless they have some deeply rooted insecurities.
But even if I agree with you only slightly, for those worst kind of relationships, the idea of ‘using someone’ until they find someone better is misogynistic and objectifying. It’s treating women as homogenous and as if they are something to be used, rather than people with their own feelings and personality. It’s upsetting to think that people really believe their partner would leave them for someone ‘better’ when such an idea is so subjective.
[–]150420throwaway 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I was with you until you decided to throw in the ‘misogynistic’ buzz word into the equation.
I’m misogynistic because of what somebody else did or does, or did I miss something?
At no point in my response I said “all women are the same”.
[–]Moejason 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah this is why I don’t tread down that area. I also have a rule about never asking a girl about her past sex life.
No matter how much males think they were wild crazy etc. I guarantee females have done way more. Even/especially the one’s they think are all quality, not like a “kardashian”, instamodel, onlyfans.
I know a girl that acts all sanctified and when I was in the military her and another new girl had a train. Someone recorded it. She also sucked a coworker off under a table in a crowded club.
I know a girl on FB who acts holier than thou and put on a show for her fiancé. I’m sitting there watching. She went through a bbc phase. Did things with me (mixed with black)... Got away from her cause cause she was crazy. Then pretty much every brotha within “network” smashed. Then she expanded to pro athletes. Then the phase essentially ended. Her man has no clue. Her sister knows. Her family knows about the last guy.
One of my ex’s did some shit and I never asked about it, there were signs and I chose to ignore them. She has a kid and a tattoo that looked like it was a coverup of some past shit. I noticed a lot of things.
The most “classiest” females have done some shit. I’ve done that shit with them. Others have as well.
Fucked up part is how they make a certain dude work for it. Along with taking the baggage. When they just give it away to others.
Realize that females tend to show the image they want you to see then later on when they got you, they show you the real shit. And they’re artists at it.
So either accept she’s done some shit in the past and let it settle there because hopefully she’s a different person now.
Or if you can’t and you’re still with her, eventually it will consume you.

Any way have fun next 2-3 years.
[–]mac754 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think too…I haven’t read what others have wrote but I’m sure it’s crap…I think that given your age, it’s definitely a conversation that tests your experiences. At this point, you can choose to recognize that for the most part every partner you have will probably have a sexual history of some sort and that not be you. You can choose to take it in stride and perhaps verbally (politely) express that it makes you uncomfortable to hear those stories.
…or you can lose control and the girl by choosing not to be cool, understanding, and self controlled.
[–]purplelirpa 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like you're detecting something in her laugh that feels uncomfortable. This could be for a lot of reasons, laughs do change context and signify something intangible. Some possibilities: her masking embarrassment after oversharing something she isn't actually confident about, her having no respect for yours or anyone else's feelings and finding that funny, her worrying that you won't like what she's saying so she's changing the tone of her response to make the delivery more palatable to you, her being amused or proud of past behavior, her being frustrated by lack of easy nsa sex in current life.
There are so many more scenarios I can think of from personal history and what a laugh means for different people. The point is, it means something and you feel something in your gut that doesn't feel right. She may be an honest person or she may be being deceptive about her wants and needs. I think with time, just let yourself be okay being uncomfortable with the uncertainty. Whatever you're picking up on shouldn't take too long to become clear with enough context.

Yup incel lingo. This is why you don’t take advice from this sub. Most guys with the long ass posts either are virgins or just straight up weird.
You have to absolutely watch out for the young guys here. It’s a fucking circle jerk/frat house mentality and most likely NONE of them are actually getting f with women at all.
[–]intensely_human 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If you’re that insecure about it, you shouldn’t be in a relationship in the first place.
Hence the looking for replacements. The advice here is for OP to stop pretending like he’s ready for this relationship.
This makes sense.
Eww

People laugh from awkwardness as well. She could be simultaneously enjoying her past while also being like “damn you really did that” and is now in a different place. Coming from my experience with drugs, I’ve had partners ask me about my past and I would briefly revel in my debauchery, but I was also ashamed. Now the only caveat I add is that I’ve reflected on my past, but I have also fumbled and had a few benders since quitting my bender days. She could do the same... that’s something you’ll have to gauge on your own, I can’t do that based off of just her words
[–]zystyl 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It sounds more then a bit sarcastic. If it worked so well for her then she wouldn't have gotten into a presumably long term, stable and monogamous relationship.
That’s exactly it, she probably enjoyed being a ho but also realized that being a ho is not a long term strategy for growth and happiness. Much like my parallel with drugs.
[–]TheOffice_Account 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
she was looking for something without emotions and that phase worked really well for her(with a mild laugh)
That laugh is weird, and I can see why you're focused on that. In addition, if I were you, I'd be thinking what kind of person looks for "sex without emotions" (in your words). I know there are people like that everywhere including some of my acquaintances, and no judgement there, but I'm just not romantically compatible with them. They have far different values as compared to mine.
You've learned new information about her. Now you've got decisions to make.
[–]Donexodus -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It could’ve been because she was being vulnerable and felt uncomfortable
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Be confused all you want - every modern young woman has this phase and for many it lasts most of their twenties.
[–]HappinesSource 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm also confused, are you asking how to seduce her so that giggle comes up when she thinks about you two having sex last night, or is this just about your insecurities?
[–]AssistanceMedical951 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
People often laugh at surprise or discomfort. She shared a truth that many would judge her harshly for. She has to know that you might judge her harshly for her previous promiscuity. Hence the uncomfortable giggle.
[–]the_big_sad66 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
go talk to people in your life you genuinely trust. Go see a relationship counselor. Don’t really take advice from a bunch of random people on the internet.
[–]ExquisiteGrowth 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you guys weren’t talking at the time how could she have known to reserve herself for you? Life provides a different prescription at times and I think you should be glad that you found her at the time that you did.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Its crazy how we generalized being a hoe as a good thing...I remember when no one wanted to date the hoes and just smash and dash...
The giggle and the unnecessary details have a lot of gross disrespectful vibes to me. I would have cut her off
[–]FaithInStrangers94 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Being promiscuous isn’t really something to be proud or ashamed of so I’m not sure why people so often attach those sentiments
You’ve either got to let it go or dump her if you can’t
You need to feel you can trust her, which at least for now you don't. Break up, and see what happens. You may get back together, or not, but don't push it. You need to clear your head.
she belongs to the streets my brother
[–]ConstructionRich7891 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She doesnt respect u king, what if you have talked about how you facefucked a hoe years ago? She would be mad bro she testing u. You have to reply strong or she will never treat you with respect
How do I go about it?
Why is everyone talking like if this girls is doing some kind of favor to OP for beign with him. Fuck off. If you need to leave her leave her, nobody is worthy of your pain.
I do get perspectives. But I don't really understand the SHE CHOSE YOU thing. Yes people do date people and that's nothing to celebrate extravagantly about until it culminates into a marriage.
What you’re feeling is you tapping into what you actually want in a long term partner OP. No shame, no hate, and no wrongly labeling it insecurity, it’s just a quality of a person you are currently with/experiencing that plugs you out of believing that this person is for you.

[–]Designer-Influence11 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’ll be completely honest, her sexual history isn’t the main issue, it’s the lack of respect, self awareness and maturity for her to have brought that up in the way that she did not even considering your feelings. It’s gross and callous imo. That’s a big big red flag. Watch out man it’s going to get worse I promise you
[–]69Gwynbleidd69[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
People who had a lot of sexual partners, tend to find it much easier to rebound / monkey branch / cheat.
Like it or not, men care about woman's past, if she was a hoe, she is not relationship material.
Contradictory to t he above statement, everyone has some kind of a past, and unless you are gunning for an unexperienced virgin, you have to accept it. And with past comes experience of learning what you want, and what you do not want in a relationship.
Should you 'accept it' or 'dump' her. I don't know, you are the only person around here who knows here, so you are the only one who can analize both her and yourself, in order tovet her and determine is she a relationship quality or not. Just as you are the only one who can determine does your dillema come from your inner insecurities, or is your gut telling you that she is just a FWB / FuckBuddy and not relationship material.
The only certain advice I can give is that everyone has to learn to vet people when it comes to relationships.
[–]MRHOBO_ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She is 21 years old, she can't have a hoe phase behind her. She is still a hoe and not someone to think about creating your life with. Nothing wrong with her lifestyle, it's hers to live. Just don't get too attached to a hoe like that. Use her for experience and what worth she has - making your life fun and pleasurable.
[–]A-sop-D 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She's not yours it's just your turn. Don't worry about it so much, as all previous partners are irrelevant. If you notice it's eating at you just find a way to cheekily turn it into her wanting to do that with you. Get her to show you exactly how she did it with that other dude.
Sorry, I just fuk hoes, I dont date them.
Good luck!
[–]Ilovethaiicedtea 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]G3tbusyliving 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Had this happen with an ex. She would talk about her ex's all the time in different scenarios. Told her to stop doing it and she said she would but never did. Clearly enjoyed her hoe phase too much because if she went out she would relish in men speaking to her. Id get out before it gets worse or something happens. Leave with your pride and find someone who actually wants to be with you and isn't thinking about sucking other dudes d**ks when she's with you.
[–]18cmOfGreatness 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, not everyone has a past. There are many, many girls and guys who never engaged in casual sex and only dated seriously, if at all. Usually, if someone is casual about hookups, they are also casual about cheating hookups. You both are young, I very much doubt that someone who had a "hoe phase" just a year ago would want to settle for life at 21, lol.
The world is full of sluts now. Just try to find the least sluttiest 🤷♂️ and try not to imagine her sucking some other dude off like she bragged about.
[–]Yuva0 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Moikepdx 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It seems the laugh is what’s bothering you. But I’d actually be bothered by the part where a relationship with you wouldn’t have worked a year ago.
This says that her life stage dictates her partner in unpredictable ways. If you were unsuitable a year ago, you may be unsuitable a year from now.
If you’re in this for the short term, NBD. If you’re looking for something long-term, find someone who’s more stable.

[–]bryann_99 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'd recommend to identify your emotions (e.g. gelousy, insecurity, distrust, sadness, angriness). Then, you try to find why do you feel that way (something like, it makes me feel angry an jelous and sad because I feel like I am not special to her, like I am just another one more). Once you have the reason, you ask yourself what you can do about it (e.g. breaking up, talking to your partner about how you feel, etc.)
The examples are completely illustratory; I am not trying to guess your situation.

Don’t settle until your kill count is close to 50-100. If you’re seeing a girl whose count is higher than that then she’s got issues. Most girls will be less than that so you can be comfortable
[–]woyome 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
are you listening to yourself? so the guy can have a high count but the girl can’t? you’re all insecure and need to work on yourself instead of this misogynistic mess that you’ve entangled yourself in
[–]susumaya 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s not mysogynistic at all. Unfortunately, even with feminism, women haven’t failed the influence of their biology on attraction. Women still want a dominant alpha guy who can take care of them. Whereas men still want fair maidens who are damsels in distress. No guy (in his senses) is going to be comfortable being with a girl with more experience. It’s going to eat away at him and the relationship.
If you want to see things change then the world needs to change to the point where guys can get laid just as easily as girls.

Other people have sex and they like it.
Take your time processing your feelings. Talk to her about it.
You can find someone with less experience than you do if it really matters.
She can find someone that accepts her how she is whether or not they have more or less experience than she does.
Nobody should be shamed for the amount of sex they have.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
If a girl talk to his boyfriend about her exes without a legit reason, that is a red flag.
If a girl talk to his boyfriend about how did she fuck before him(lets say they are in a relationship, not friends with benefits), that is something that must make you block her, leave her immediately.
People on comments say that 'don't listen guys who cant get women, giggling is not important, accept her past' etc. Getting women and having a solid relationship with a women is different. If you sleep with her and it is not something serious, have fun.
But if you are in a relationship and she tells you her past 'sex' experiences, how good it was, something wrong with you if you dont leave her or be her fuckbody, not a boyfriend.

It might a little difficult to digest, but the fact is that she is with you now and honestly her past shouldn't matter anyway. The only suggestion I can offer is don't get the insecurity get to you, neither is it good for the relationship nor for your mental health.
fam, imma level with you: you need to figure out why this matters to you so much, because its not about her.
its almost never about them, even if they do something that pisses us off.
the word “hoe” is used by people butthurt that a woman they desire is having more sex than them. period.
it comes from jealousy and an insecure sense of self.
don’t worry about her giggle, worry about making the best parts of you even better, so that you know you’re the shit regardless of what anyone else says.
its easier said than done, but once you’re there, you wont give this stuff a second thought.
you like her, and she likes you. that should be more than enough for you. if she’s actively doing things to hurt you, that’s another thing entirely.

I don't see anything wrong about the laugh. Either she had good fun and is reminiscing about it or she found out that emotionless sex wasn't it. Maybe both.
If you feel, by any chance, insecure about that phase of hers, you should try to create a future like that for yourself. It might be hard for you to get over things like that if you've never experienced them yourself even though you wanted to. If that's the case, committed relationships might not do it for you right now.
[–]intensely_human 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's important not to think about who came before you. But do get you both's sexual health checked.
I was in that casual phase too, but mine lasted about 8 years. (I always always had safe sex during my casual phase, well except for the blowjobs that I have given.) Only then I started to feel casual flings were meh. A good relationship is so much more deep and meaningful.
If what you both have is deep and meaningful, it would be a shame to throw it over what happened in the past.

Cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it
Are you seeking to understand female psychology? Or trying to understand why you feel the way you do? (your intention wasn't clear in your post).
I see (at least) these 2 possibilities:
It's likely the 2nd.
It's completely okay to be proud of our hoe phases
Where did you learn this from? Do you also think that women who avoid sleeping around are being "silly"? Would you agree that women have a tendency to lie about their body count? (saying it is lower than it is).
Women are slut shamed for good reason. And they intuitively understand what attracts other males. Obviously, your gf hardly gives a fuck about that with you, from what you described -> and that would be due to a lack of respect (which is associated with low attraction) for you.
Things you should be thinking about:
[–]mithrinwow 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
You're both young but her only being 21 and talking about her "casual phase" is cute, considering she's 3 years out of highschool (?). Of course, she had a casual phase; but because she left the nest relatively not too long ago, her casual phase seems like yesterday. Most young adults around that age of 18-20 don't want to be tied down and are just happy to be unsupervised, free of parents. You experienced it, you know.
I'm guessing she told you her experiences because she thought you could empathize with her, and because she felt comfortable enough to disclose it. I highly doubt she was trying to make you jealous. Your interpretation of her giggles makes her sound like any child learning to cuss for the first time and feeling "dirty" about it. Honestly, it's not too far from the truth. It's interesting even what a few years can do to someone. Be patient and don't look too deeply into it because she's ONLY 21! I would not expect anyone of that age to be mature.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with people being hoes and we all know how much people love to keep tally around here; finally, slut-shaming is gross, regardless of gender.

I do get your point. But here the issue is mainly her bringing it up out of no where. Also this is her first serious relationship. Before this she has only been FWB or ONS.
[–]mithrinwow 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It would probably be more productive at this in point to ask her why she brought it up, instead of Reddit. Communication is always key in any serious relationship and it is better to talk it out together.
Good luck.

The girl is allowed to have had sex outside of you with whomever she consensually desired to do so. Just like the guy is.
Me and my GF have both slept around, got it out of our system, and have a wonderful sex life. She's been with dudes who have bigger dicks and I've been with girls who have better bodies. Regardless of those people in the past, remember, you guys chose eachother.
The giggle indicates she had fun. Because guess what, sex is fun. I know I had fun fucking around. If you feel really insecure, don't tell her, just use it as motivation to find ways to fuck her brains out even better.

lol these comments are completely full of insecure boys. You all need to grow tf up. So what if she fucked a tone of guys and loved it. If she’s with you now and your dick is good and you treat her right then you have nothing to worry about.
Oooh no did your sweet lil Virgin Mary have a life before you?!? 😨😱
Don’t be afraid to take a little while to come to terms with this. Yes it is a mark of insecurity and jealousy if you’re uncomfortable with it - but that’s not abnormal, we are conditioned to think and feel a certain way and it’s normal to dislike the idea of someone you like having slept with other people.
Be careful to take some of the misogynistic comments here with a whole handful of salt as well. This is not on her - sex is fun, let’s not let people demonise that.
One thing I would suggest is find ways that she can help to validate the fact she’s into you - with past relationships I had anxiety throughout and couldn’t get over my jealousy, but I recognise that was in part due to things being unresolved between my ex and other past partners, as well as it fitting an anxious/avoidant dynamic which does not work well for me at all.
[–]MohdSalahh 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Thank you. Yes I don't really mind her past, even I had casual experiences in the past and had a hoe phase. The thing is, I don't mention it out of nowhere to her and go on to describe it like I'm reminiscing it even now. I understand it was a phase one enjoys, but not everything you have enjoyed has to be discussed in details with your current. I make sure I don't talk about it, because the last time she asked and I did, it led to her calling me a fuckboi.
Again, my concern stems from her bringing it up out of nowhere like when we discuss our time in bed, she would bring up how a guy she was NSA with make her blow him for hours to find the right way and that's why she was able to give me a good one now. Like I didn't have to possibly know, also we were talking about us. I just feel she kind of revels in it now and hence the giggle meant something else for me.
Aye tbf I think I missed that last night as I was a little tired and Christmas drunk. It does show a bit of a lack of tact and maturity on her part and I’d suggest bringing it up with her if it makes you uncomfortable - that level of detail isn’t fair on you and only serves to feed insecurity rather than strengthen a relationship ship.
Like it doesn’t have to be entirely negative - some people use comments like this to protect themselves from harm - it’s like saying ‘if you hurt me or this goes badly, I have other options’. Which isn’t mature or healthy, but it’s not always to directly harm you.
If you carry the conversation forward, she may assume you’re comfortable with it to - best to tell her you aren’t early on than get that pang of jealousy each time it’s brought up.
[–]dan2fly -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Many guys are completely worthless when it comes to satisfying a woman…she might have been with many drunk, and nervous guys and found that mostly unfulfilling…she has also seen the range of size as well. I have heard several promiscuous girls tell stories of the guy with a dick like her pinky…no way to know.
BUT, if she has more experience and chooses you, why question it?
I had an ex who had been with 20 plus guys. The first time we had sex, she said, “Wow, you must have done that a LOT!” I was 22 and had been with only a few girls

Years ago there was an ad that showed a pic of a ridiculously attractive girl and it said something like "you aren't going to be her first but do you really care?" It was an ad for BMW used cars. The problem with having issues with her past is that there probably isn't going to be anyone out there that you aren't going to have a problem with something from their past if you learn everything about them. The issue isn't with her but with how you view her. The only thing that really matters is that she is with you now.

Its in the past, which you were not a part of. Leave it and let your relationship grow into the future.
[–]idbanthat -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You know how when you send a serious text, but you're nervous how the other person will read it, or that they'll read to much into it, so you end the text with an lol just to show you're light hearted about it, it was probably that. No emotion works well to not get attached, but if she feels for you, don't let r/retroactivejealousy ruin it for you, let her love you, or move on.

Don’t 👏 ask 👏 about 👏 past 👏 sexual 👏 experiences
[–]MohdSalahh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
And I didn't. She mentioned it all by herself. I just asked had we met a year earlier, how would it be. And I was happy with the answer that we were in different cities so wouldn't have worked out and not the prolonged answer about then she wasnt looking for emotions and it worked really well for her.
Like I don't care if it did or did not, still not something worth mentioning unless we are having a conversation about past sexual experiences.
Ah gotcha yeah kinda weird she brought it up but I mean can you handle knowing she was promiscuous at a certain time?
Yes that I can because even I was. So I can't be a hypocrite here. Just that I won't mention it so casually or will talk about it only when we both are aware of what we are talking about and consent to it.
[–]chs158 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hey man, I’ve been dealing with similar emotions recently too. I agree with what a few ppl in the chat have been saying. I think the base insecurity is seriously just a base monkey-brained jealously that I’ve experienced with ppl I’ve been with before. It’s just something you gotta let go of cause in the end, she’s with you not anyone else and if everything’s going good otherwise I say ur doin alright. But, I think it’s also good to set up boundaries. If she brings it up every once and a while and it really bothers you, you could try and talk to her. Just explain how that makes you feel and try to work through it with her. Good luck I hope ur able to tackle this because I am still working on it haha.
[–]Ironic_Resting_Face -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Stop asking questions about how good she is in bed or fish for compliments where you’d put yourself in her history. Idiot.
If she’s good in bed compliment her and say thank you. She did not learn that stuff from a book. And earlier when her life was different… what did you think was gonna happen? That she would bat her eyes and say in a coy manner “I dunno, I wasn’t really into boys before I met you.”
The past is a minefield if you are a sensitive jealous type. So stay clear or work with your snowflake issues.
Read the post again. I just complimented her, didn't ask her how.

You have to make peace with the fact that your gf isn’t an angel. She’s just human.
[–]KuatosFreedomBrigade -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is kind of an early twenties issue, trust me, those feelings go away the older you get.
She’s with you now….and wouldn’t be if she didn’t want to be. Exploring sexual experiences is something that made ME extremely uncomfortable at 20, and led to some really big trust and resentment issues in my past relationships. It also led to my past girlfriends having a lot of frustration and lack of patience with my insecurities in the bedroom wondering if I could match up to whatever experience she had that to my insecurities sounded like more than I could offer. I’d just try to have an open dialogue about it, don’t shoot her down with a “it really hurts my feelings when you talk about that”, because it’s just going to close some doors on intimacy. I also made that mistake numerous times. So I’d just maybe initiate a dialogue if you were interested in being more adventurous, or if you aren’t, asking her if she is. Then figuring out if that’s something you want. People don’t always align on needs, but I wouldn’t say you have to worry about her, just have more conversations.

What she did or didn't do before is basically none of your business. You feel atype of way about it most likely because your insecure or envious. Insecure that there could have been a slew of guys before you or envious that she went through a phase that you didn't. Either way, get over it or get out of the relationship.
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No good ever comes from knowing about your gf’s past hookups.
I would rather just live in blissful ignorance about it tbh
That's the thing, I never ask about it but she just mentions it casually. Like she's good at BJ because some guy she was NSA with would only get hard through a BJ. This was after I told her how good her BJ was. That was it. I didn't ask how it was so good.
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wow I had the EXACT SAME conversation. I mean…exact! Ok so here’s something to consider... so your GF has plenty of sexual experience. She’s had plenty of partners. Usually (not always), they make for better lovers. But that’s pretty surface level- let’s dig a little deeper.
So this woman who has, instead of eating Frosted Flakes every morning for the past year or two, opted for the ….eh, Kellogg’s Variety Pack😅…and has seen it all (sorry bro I promise this is going somewhere)…WANTS TO BE WITH YOU!!!
What bigger ego boost IS THERE? If some girl with 2 past lovers (total) thinks you “rock her world”, really you’re just better than the “other guy”🤷🏼♂️. But if someone who is experienced chooses you…bro, pat yourself on the back. Go buy some sex toys. Plan some adventures. Ask her what her fantasies are! Ask her if she would want to fulfill yours? This is someone who isn’t scared of sex.
Both my GF and I have been where your GF is in life. It’s the best situation for YOU! As previously stated, she picks YOU. BUT also, she knows the VAST difference in pleasure that is even possible comparing meaningless sex with a random to making love with someone you care about. At first glance they may look similar to the untrained eye, but trust me they are night and day. Change your perspective. Acknowledge the ego boost staring you right in the face….and go have some wild sex!
And NEVER ask her if she’s “done this with anyone else.” Just agree that if you haven’t done it together, you HAVEN’T DONE IT! My Gf had a bad threesome experience once a long time ago so she “didn’t like threesomes.”
Um…sex has no intrinsic value other that what you assign to it. Are threesomes a good idea? Can’t answer that, obviously?! They can be a fucking, relationship killing disaster. They can be boring, forgettable wastes of time. They can me POWERFUL, life changing moments that partners can share together as a team! All threesomes…all different values.
Why am I talking about threesomes? Same thing with you. What is the “value” of her past? Zero other than what she decides to share with you. Until she does, it’s none of your goddamn business. And if you are blessed enough for this woman to trust you enough to, while feeling vulnerable, feel safe and secure enough with you to open up…PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND WITH JUDGMENT OR ANYTHING BUT THANKING HER FOR TRUST/RESPECT SHES SHOWING YOU. You want her to always feel that you are a safe place for her to share how she feels. If she feels attacked, you will kill a golden opportunity to possibly have a real partner/teammate in this world. I am the happiest I have ever been, by a lot, because of my relationship, which started out a lot like you have described. I really hope you can experience in some way what I have. I am so grateful I didn’t let my insecure, self conscious immaturity ruin things when it very well could have…

Honestly, any guy who is insecure about a woman’s sexual past is a red flag that they suck in bed. Period.
Lol the issue is mentioning the sexual history out of no where and then go into details about it. I don't really mind her sexual past, even I had that but I won't just randomly mention it and how good it was when we're talking about love or relationship. I just want her to be aware that constantly mentioning it makes it look like she misses that phase and subconsciously desires it.

It's really rough to think about your partner being intimate with another partner. I prefer to have these kinds of conversations with a potential partner before jumping onto a relationship. Think about the current situation, does your partner make you happy ? do you enjoy the sex with your partner ? and do you feel connected to your partner ?
If this makes you feel insecure communicate this to your partner. If your partner is there for you without judgement than work with your partner to get past these feelings. Ultimately all her previous choices led you both to this spot where you are together.
[–]Donexodus 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Respectfully, don’t ask questions like this if you’re not comfortable with any and all answers.
Nothing wrong with you asking, and there’s nothing wrong with her response, and props to her for actually admitting it. FWIW I’d much rather this version than the ‘ideal’ answer, as it shows honesty.
A “keeper” could answer the same way she did. Feeling uncomfortable is natural, but you opened the door. Whether you’re ok with what walked through is a personal choice that can be made only by you.
I didn't ask her about her past. I've never asked it. We just talked about other things, where she would bring up her past casual phase and describe how good it was. I really don't care about the past but the thing that she brings it up so easily with me without letting me know that she is going to talk about it.
[–]Donexodus 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Apologies, I misread. Is your end concern that her cavalier attitude may result in infidelity?
just ask her not to talk about it. it’s about where you’re going not where you’ve been

There seems to be a lot of comments encouraging OP to break up with his girlfriend or tha she's only ever going be a slut because of her casual phase.
OP, I feel that this would be an important conversation to have with your girlfriend and discuss why hearing about her past experiences is affecting you so deeply, and how you would like it to be handled in the future.
It sounds like your girlfriend is just too open with her past experiences and doesn't see that it's affecting you as deeply as it is.
It's understandable that you would feel uncomfortable hearing about these experiences, especially considering the context in which she's bringing them up (i.e, during discussions on intimacy).
I can't help but wonder that maybe she might be trying to relate her past experiences as way to discuss what she wants in the bedroom, but doesn't realise how innapropriate and distressing it is for you.
I feel that if you want to continue a relationship with your girlfriend, that it's absolutely important for you to discuss how these conversations upset you, and that you don't want to hear about them-- which is perfectly valid and a boundary you want put in place.
At the same time, it's perfectly okay to end a relationship for any reason if you feel that's what you need to do.
Good luck anyway, OP!

Tell her, if she doesn't understand or still does it then you do the same, tell her things about a time where a girl fucked you crazy that you came thrise or something, she'll be in your position and will understand
If it still continues then you have drawn your boundary and she's violating it, then leave this relationship and move on to next one

It honestly sounds like she thinks she gives good head and is proud. They talked about her good bj, discussed the NSA, then she drops comments with the giggles all seemingly related…
Just complimented her on good BJ. I didn't ask the backstory.

Yeah.... that's a quite the uncomfortable situation to have with someone who you're emotionally involved with.
Make sure you let her know that it made you feel uncomfortable and why in the world did she think that that would be something that can be casually brought up without warning AND especially after an intimate moment.
Retreat and assess situation

Gf and I were talking about relationships in general, where we discussed what if we had met a year earlier. She answered, relationship wasn't possible because she was looking for something without emotions and that phase worked really well for her(with a mild laugh). Which I found a bit weird, not the phase but the giggle after that.
There's nothing weird about people going through a casual phase for whatever reason.
Men do it and so do women. It's a human thing.
2
It is perfectly fine to tell someone you're dating that you're not really interested in swapping histories or stories of the past.
3
It's perfectly valid to have your boundaries in this category. Everyone's lines are different.
You have to communicate with her about this. Only then can you tell if there's actually a problem, based on how she reacts.
The trick is to broach the subject without making it into a personal attack. The easiest way to do this is to make it clear that you're talking about your personal preferences as far as not wanting to swap personal histories.
[–]RoHatfield83 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She’s being open and honest with you. If she’s open with this kind of thing she will probably be an open and honest partner. It seems like she doesn’t want to hide much from you and that she’s letting you know that those were times in her life that she didn’t catch feelings like she does with you. Lots of people can be nostalgic without wanting to go back to those times.
If this is something you’re uncomfortable with, then maybe she isn’t the right one for you or you need to take a step back and check yourself. Could there be other reasons why this makes you uncomfortable or other things that she’s done that makes you feel that way? Either way, take a good hard look at everything before you make a jump- whether it be forward with or without her.

First: Lol!
Second: She doesn't respect you or see you as high value, if she did she would be too afraid of losing you to mention any other guy, let alone talk about blowing him.
Third: This is a 🚩for a woman you want to be a LTR for you. I say get out now before you catch feelings for her.

'It's ok to be proud of our hoe phases, but...' So, what you're really saying is that it's ok, as long as she wasn't before you? Or it's ok, if a guy proudly talks about how he's good at giving head cause women taught him how to do it well, but a woman can't say the same thing... Ok bud... Just move on since you're clearly not mature enough for this talk. How tf did you expect her to get good at it if it wasn't for practice? 🙄🙄
[–]Stobes80 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This is why i dont talk about the past with any man i am in a relationship with. Men tend to freak out whether you've had one lover or ten. Regardless men need to accept that virtually no one is a vestal virgin nowadays. Women have past lovers, and as long as they are not doing it anymore than who cares. If you cant let it go then end the relationship because there is nothing worse than hanging onto it for the rest of your life. If you want to stay in the relationship then let it go.
I understand your opinion and I don't really have an issue with her past but the way she just mentions it nonchalantly as if it's not going to create a visual picture for me. One thing is to actively not let it affect it you but subconsciously it will. It's not just about men, even women tend to get insecure about this. She has been when I mentioned a funny non sexual incident with one of my exes.
[–]Stobes80 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't understand why her mentioning it non chantly bothers you? It's as if you want her to feel some shame for what she did. When I read your previous comment you said she got embarrassed at something you did with an ex. Personally when I enter a relationship I don't ask and I don't expect you to ask. If you want to voluntarily tell me I won't say no but don't expect me to tell you mine. It's in the past and doesn't affect the now.
