“She has to be able to bleed like a human but not have any veins 🤦🏼♀️” lol
Or my favorite part is when they find out a girl they like had plastic surgery: “I don’t like fake boobs or butts. I prefer natural”

Victorian and Edwardian women had the same issue. They wore corsets because it got them that bangin' waist-to-hip ratio.
So of course men complained about corsets and praised "natural beauty"
They still liked women with waspy waists though.
Basically they want women to look a certain way but punish us for actively doing anything to actually achieve it.

I love when they expect us to have big breasts, a big ass, and thic thighs but they're repulsed by stretchmarks. Were we supposed to forego puberty and its growth spurts and only gain 1 pound a year or something? Wait, don't answer that. A lot of these toads really would like it if we'd foregone puberty. 😒

Luckily I have never met a guy who said he didn't like stretch marks. That just seems like an extremely immature preference to have. I got my stretchmarks because of puberty growth. It blows my mind that anyone wouldn't like my body for that reason. Like I never even think about them even if I notice them, it's just such a normal part of being human.
[–]ManchurianCantaloupeRuthless Strategist8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Most men have stretch marks, too. Most of the guys I dated had ones worse than mine. 🙄
[–]BountyxoFDS Newbie4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah same! That's why I honestly don't get it. I have to say I probably wouldn't take the person saying something like that very seriously and I would guess that it means they haven't really seen actual people naked.
[–]seashellseashell52FDS Newbie4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah I feel ya. Also a lot of times it’s not even a guy saying “oh I don’t like stretch marks,” it’s just the fact that some guys point it out and react immaturely to it or worse they start acting like a goddamn scientist.
I went out with a guy once (literally just one date), and he went off on how women don’t really have stretch marks unless they’re breast feeding or they’re just plain overweight. Like, bruh wut?
But this guy also said it’s more likely for a woman to give a man an STD instead of the opposite which is why he didn’t mind asking for a bj but wouldn’t go down on a girl first unless he got to know her. Ladies I almost made a scene at the bar we were at. I was like, my dude, that is so. wrong. and he told me to “google it.”
Lol I said no thanks I prefer to speak to an actual medical professional, and I got up and left. Had to block him bc he blew up my phone after that.

[–]deadlylittlethingFDS Newbie49 points50 points51 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
What's crazy to me is that a lot of men don't actually recognize when a woman has on makeup. There's men who see a woman with a face full of makeup and really believe it's "natural beauty". So then when they see women without makeup, they compare that look to women who were, in fact, wearing makeup.
That's probably why they act like they've been "deceived". They don't understand that no woman looks that way without makeup.. because they're too dumb to recognize when a woman is.

Tbh, I don't think that's even true so much as they've just been conditioned to view big ones as what men are "supposed" to like. I rarely see small chested women not attract people irl. Even in high school all those tiny girls who wore size 00 hollister pants always had boyfriends.

[–]dzgataFDS Disciple117 points118 points119 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Sadly plenty of women have fallen for fake gym plan schemes. Like I’ve had women approach me asking how I built my booty at the gym and I had to tell them that’s bc my genes distribute my fat and muscle to my butt. It can be slightly grown, but mainly toned at the gym. I’ve always had a big butt. You can’t go from flat pancake to bubble booty unless you get a BBL which is what all these lying gym influencers do most of the time!! Like don’t people see morbidly obese women with flat butts, that’s proof that it has nothing to do with food or anything.

I mean, you totally can squat your way into a larger ass. As in, maybe just over an inch after years of hard work.
If you want a Kylie Jenner butt, you need to be born with it, or pay a doctor to remodel it for you.
And unless you're on a loooot of steroids and hormones, no woman is going to add an inch to her chest by bench pressing. Ever.

This - while there are definitely things you can’t change, weightlifting can help build out some curves.
I was 5’6 & 110 lbs, skinny-fat from years of intense running. Wanted to get curvier so I started weightlifting 5x a week 3-4 years ago. Now I’m around 118 lbs, and lower body fat - and while I’m still pretty thin I do have noticeable “muscle curves”.
My hip dips are still here. But my glutes, hamstrings, and quads are a bit bigger and look toned.
But that took me YEARS of lifting and there are still some things I can’t change about my body.
[–]NoThisIs-PatrickFDS Disciple0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well yeah, a little bit of muscle of course. But obviously it's a reference to the instagram model body popularised by the Kardashians. As you said yourself, you aren't getting Kim K's or Kylie Jenner's ass just by squatting lmao
I'm not even bitter. I'm hourglass with wide hips and a larger butt and wish it was smaller.

do you know how hard the average male has to work to actually become overweight? they literally have to eat and drink so much more than the average woman. women are built to carry more body fat because we carry children.
[–]indaazz1FDS Newbie116 points117 points118 points 6 years ago* (11 children) | Copy Link
Exactly!! Having less testosterone in our bodies makes building muscle about 4 times harder than it is for men. And since we weigh a lot less our caloric maintenance is lower. They literally have to eat like pigs to become overweight while for some of us eating 2,000 calories per day (which is so little) could make us gain a lot of fat over time

When you get into your 30s it’s either be conscious about what you’re eating and exercise or slowly gain weight. (Barring metabolism issues. My mom was 5’7 and 95 pounds when she was under 25. She struggled to weigh more than 110 at later ages but her thyroid was jacked up. Being super thin and unhealthy isn’t goals and she’s the only person I know who could eat like a man and still be that size.)

Go to the keto sub, and start getting super frustrated at how fast men lose weight! Meanwhile in xxketo all us women are complaining about not losing, gaining, fluctuating weight, on top of having to weight every single ingredient to properly fit our macros, while we lose our hair (temporarily! this happens with any successful weight loss) and our periods freak out (at first).

If you aren't already try adding a biotin supplement. Apparently burning fat uses up a lot of it and you need it for good hair. I thought my hair was falling out because I weaned my kid, then maybe I needed to take a break from losing weight (even though losing weight between kid1 and 2 didn't make my hair fall out), but even then it just didn't stop. So now I've restarted my prenatal and added a hair & nails supplement, and I will see (hopefully in a few months).

[–]CassieGreen85FDS Apprentice4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This will be anecdotal, but you can find lots of similar experiences in the keto and xxketo subs: up until now, all the weight I lost with keto was without changing my exercise routine at all! (which is to say, it was almost nonexistent LOL)
The general advice among women is 1) gotta hit your protein goal, and not go over your fat macros 2) every 10-15lbs you gotta re-calculate your macros, because our bodies adapt quickly to the amount of calories we consume.
Barring some very special situations, that seemed to work across the board, not to mention acknowledging that we can't just go back to the way we used to eat pre-keto.
I'm planning to hit my new goal by the end of this year! Have at least one thing in 2020 that was good, LOL

Yep, even though keto is the most effective way to eat and lose fat, even then it's so frustrating for us women! That's why I had to stop looking at success posts in the keto sub, more often than not is a man, and yeah generally speaking men drop the weight like it's nothing, it was making me so salty LOL

No probs, yeah us women have to count calories even in keto, there's just no way around it; personally I can eat tons of dairy (in the form of cheese!) which probably saved me from derailing a lot of times.
I grew up eating a medditern diet. Which has a small amount of dairy products and certain types of fats. Depending on what regions you're from, the dish will differ and same for the staple ingredients.
I love cheese too! But my body wasn't happy about the amounts of fat I was eating.

It doesn't happen with "any successful weight loss", I lost lots of weight and kept my thick hair the whole way. And my periods were fine. Because it's carbs that give you healthy periods and you don't need to cut carbs to lose weight. Get out of the keto bubble. This reminds me of raw vegans who say that periods reflect impurity so the lack of periods on the starvation diet is healthy detoxing... I'm really shocked that you believe the symptoms of ill health & starvation like hair loss and amenorrhoea are normal for healthy weight loss, they aren't. This reminds me of my pro-ana days frankly.
You are totally right about how much easier men lose weight though.
[–]raiu86FDS Newbie3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You don't need carbs for healthy periods. I conceived my second kid while on a low carb diet. But you are right that both keto and veganism are prone to causing vitamin deficiencies, particularly B vitamins (biotin for keto and b12 for vegans). It's almost like us humans are omnivores 🤷🏼♀️.
That said, I like my low carb diet. But I'm not a loon about it like a lot of people are, if someone invited me to dinner and served homemade pasta carbonara, imma eat it. And enjoy it.
[–]rinabeanFDS Disciple0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh, I see! I wonder if some women are less sensitive to it than others? I've heard of it as the cause of anovulation quite frequently, and the cause of the hair loss they mentioned. Maybe it also depends on other factors? I guess none of this is so set in stone that it could be used as birth control!
I don't think b12 is a big factor in ovulation (though it is missing in vegan diets, you're right) but b6 is, along with zinc, and as a (non raw) vegan I've found I have to keep on top of those quite carefully - they're plentiful in meat though. But it's swings and roundabouts a bit - magnesium is also important, and a lot of meat-eaters don't get enough, but it's rarely lacking on a balanced vegan diet.
There are many ways to eat healthily, and different people often suit different ones, but I can't understand why someone would promote a way which had their hair falling out! To me that's such a clear sign that you've gone too far.
Agreed. Different people are different, but sustained hair loss and amenorrhea are clear signs you aren't taking good care of yourself. FWIW some women have experienced a return of regular cycles under keto. For me it took months to realize I had a vitamin deficiency causing hair loss because telegenic effluvium is normal when weaning (and I'd had no hair loss during keto round 1 while trying for kid2), but once I did I went looking to see what had gone wrong. I'm trying a multi + extra biotin since low carb people get less biotin (it's most bioavailable in beans and fruit) but need more than other people.
Mg is an interesting one, r/keto likes to remind people to supplement that one (and even recommends drinking salt water 🤢🤮) but I think that's because it's full of "diet coke and bacon" keto-ers.

Get out of the keto bubble.
Hey, I've been in the keto diet for 2+ years, my hair is excellent on maintenance keto (I was a shedder pre-keto, now my hair falls a lot less), my periods have ALWAYS been irregular and actually became REGULAR with keto, my blood test results have never been better, I don't need to take depression medicine, I actually lost weight that I've been struggling with for a good 30 years. I've done all the diets, pills, exercises, you mention it, I've done it. Keto is not a diet, it's a WOE and anyone who actually went into the keto subs, and actually read the stickied info would understand this.
What I'm saying is, I did my homework, just like I did my homework when I joined the FDS sub and read all the info in the FAQs, which is like the no.1 thing to do here. Did you do the same for the keto subs? and there's lots of information backing up keto that I found on actual scientific papers through my uni, not just whatever the keto subs posted to make it sound more convenient.
Please refrain from spreading shame and misinformation and being so condescending, especially when it's something that is benefiting a person. Keto actually gave me back my life, my self-esteem and actually works for me. I've lost 70lbs so far, and I've been weights that I have not been since I've been in high school. Or do you like when misinformed websites/subs go around dissing FDS coining it as a harmful hatemalesub?

Exactly. Plus we will never have totally flat stomachs no matter how hard we work, because we have organs. I’m so tired of their weird pressure.

Yes, even the fitness influencers with abs will never have a completely flat stomach when relaxed, because our bodies are made to have padding there to protect our organs.

They actually can get "unshort" by limb lengthening surgery. It's painful as hell but if someone wants it badly enough, they'll do it.

Yep and that's not super different from breast implants which go under your pectoral muscles, or butt implants which go on top of your gluteal muscles either
Same level of pain but which one is performed more regularly?? 🤔🤔🤔

I still remember that story of a woman who went through breast cancer, and the husband coerced into getting bigger breast implants (bigger than her previous, natural ones) and she confessed to her friend that she hated them, and she missed her previous, smaller size.
I can't believe those kind of men exist, just another reason why I roll my eyes really hard at all those love stories where a young couple battles cancer (usually the female partner) and they make it into this whole cliched, "I still love you" thing. Yeah it's nice to fantasize, but it's the exception not the rule.
[–]HaveNoIdeaWhatToPickFDS Newbie1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They can't do anything about their height but none of them want to admit that lack of height is largely negated by success and wealth. Just look at Kevin Hart's midget ass. Married to the STUNNING Eniko Parrish, who he publicly humiliated by cheating on her (while she was pregnant, no less) with another woman who is no doubt also gorgeous.
Short guys aren't mad women "discriminate" against them because of their height, they're mad that they can't use height as an advantage to lure in susceptible women like they see all these tall scrotes doing and that they instead have to actually make something of themselves if they want a HVW.

It is, imo, likely a carry over from the not so distant past in many cultures. Men didn’t even have to ask the women they wanted, they asked her father. Men just had to show up with something material to basically buy her, or promise to take her off the family’s hands and take care of her.
Men were allowed to have preferences for pretty younger women. Women were told to go with whoever could reliably feed them.
I think there are men out there who would be thrilled to go back to that arrangement, based on my own experiences.

I think most women just want a guy who is taller than them, a plus if he's still taller when she's wearing heels. Scrotes exaggerate even the smallest preference women have, and make it into something grotesque and ridiculous. Based on the way they talk about women's preference for tall(er) men, you'd think that women refuse to date any man under 6'5. Yet go out into the world all around you, and you'll see that men of average or even below average height are partnered.
I also have a theory that part of this is scrotes having homoerotic feelings for men, and they project onto women by saying we're the ones who prefer jacked and/or very tall men. Dude, maybe that is your preference, it's not mine.
I prefer a man who is taller than me, more muscular than me... aka someone who looks like a man and not like a blob. 5'9-6 feet, muscular/athletic in a natural way (not beefing up the same few muscles at the gym). I do think men like Dolph Lundgren back in the day are a specimen and are very easy to look at, but appreciating a beautiful person's looks does not mean that that's literally what I want in a life partner, or what I insist on. But I also view men as human and don't think of them as a subhuman monolith with different ages, bodies, superficial characteristics the way men do with women.
They think women are like men, where they look at a top 1% physicality woman and think they are going to cross paths with someone like that, have that person be interested in them, be compatible, etc. They are delusional and are always projecting.

exactly.. i'm 5'8 and as a tall girl i can't tell you how frustrating it is to be lied to about height, and then criticized that it's a factor of attraction for me. it just is. I can't help it. I want to feel safe and protected, I don't want to feel like the man.
i've been on a date where the guy claimed 5'10, i think great!! Met him on OLD, didn't think much of it. Then i went to meet up with him and he was shorter than me.....

Also 5'8". I have a preference because (a) attracted to tall guys and (b) when I have dated guys of similar height (or slightly shorter) they chuck a mantrum when I wear heals because it's immasculating. Like, having a girl on your arm that is dressed up and wearing heels is immasculating? K.....
I'd prefer not to be controlled into what I wear because of their ego issues or fragile masculinity.

I'm 5'6" and dated a 5'4" guy once. I don't usually wear heels so my ex was pretty cool with the subtle difference. One time, I wore a 4" heels and he was embarrassed when people saw us walking side by side. I can't forget the look on his face lmao
I have no problem dating shorter guys... if they ooze unwavering confidence even with me towering over them.
[–]XiekoFDS Newbie4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I absolutely agree with this. I've asked men that I've considered dating and are my height how they would feel if I wore heels on a date. The men with Napoleon complexes get uncomfortable and show their insecurities. The men who are confident in themselves will only build you up and tell you that you'll look amazing and don't care if you're taller. I'm only slightly taller than average but I have amazing legs and love showing them off. If a man appears shorter than me when I wear heels but he walks next to me with his head held high like he knows I'm the prize then he's more mature than most men.

Men also have a height preference for women under 5'8"; multiple studies show a drop off in interest for women above that height. Having a preference is fine. Where some men err is when they become enraged that women have them as well. It's obnoxious when a 5'6" guy acts like a woman not being into him is a transgression.

Accurate. I’m Asian and a slimmer woman without the idealized boobs, ass and snatched waist that plagues today’s society standards and the body men are pigs for. They have no problems bashing and skinny shaming my body type for it. But god forbid I tell them they’re too short for me.
https://youtu.be/ueNvsBcqusI
The comments in this video talking shit about the short girl wanting a taller guy is an example. So just because she’s short, she’s not allowed to want a taller man? The title of the video is straightforward. You’re supposed to be blunt about your preferences. Men can’t handle it when women got standards or tastes.
(Also @mods, I’m seeing scrotes lurking here giving unwanted opinions and just reported a few users that are obviously men.)

Appreciate your belly pooch. Too many factors contribute to a “flat tummy”: genetics, diet, exercise, non-bloat days, water loss, disease, filters, sucking it in, etc. There are also many vids from insta fit people that showcase their tummy changes throughout the day; or morning/night before and after pics.
My cousin has the flattest of flat stomachs and still gets a pooch after eating and living life lol. Your body is a machine that fluctuates constantly. Relax, it’s normal. 💕

Even with women like professional volleyball players who typically have pretty flat stomachs there are tummies depending on how they stand, how their body is built, where they're at in their cycle, etc. And these are women whose careers depend a lot on optimal diet and exercise. The rest of us have to attend to diet and exercise in our free time and we're not getting paid for it. Never compare your body to a woman whose job is her body like professional athletes, models, influencers, etc.
Some examples: 1 2 3 4
And keep in mind that it's very unlikely that any of these women ate a substantial meal before having these pictures taken.
