A while back I was in a group and...ok, I find it hard to mince words because I have the tact of a platypus IRL. There was this guy that flirted with me in private and had gotten excited because I had made a somewhat spicy joke around the others. I shrugged him off in the most conclusive way ever and weeks later, a very relevant topic came up and I randomly made a quip about him trying to flirt with me privately and it failing horribly. Nothing too mean, mind you, I stayed with the facts.

That night, my phone blew up--there were very creepy texts from him in an entirely different tone and a threat saying I shouldn't repeat anything he ever said in private (again he only said a few things in private, we weren't actually friends). I said "lol I don't care" with pretty much 0 intent of taking him seriously. I later found out he had been trying to creep on other women around and out of the group, and pretend to each one that it was somehow special, and that he was incredibly desperate to manage the optics around his creepiness. I had clocked him immediately the second he tried flirting.

The more time passes, the more I realize NVMs hate women gossiping among themselves because gossip has power....or at least deflates the fuck out of a posturing weirdo. I think it's hilarious that there's dudebros that thinks there's honor in helping gaslight/manipulate women for their bro and then having the audacity to call themselves good men.

Am I the only one who thinks Molly sucks and is at fault for creating a monster? She’s a pick-me who always likes to tag along with this guy and hangs out at all-guy parties with him. She literally told this dude to stop being nice to women, stop chasing women, stop texting them first, stop being available to them, act more mysterious… that literally goes against our FDS code. Women should not be texting guys first or chasing guys for dates. Why tf would Molly tell her friend to stop being “so nice” to women?
