If you look at the stats, modern dating usually results in nothing, as in no chemistry, or good chemistry which leads to short term hookups. Sometimes you get a relationship but that’s rare and usually ends too.

Modern Dating doesn’t usually work for long term. Marriage rates are at record lows. Birth rates are at record lows. Loneliness is at record highs for young men and old women.

If you look at what does work: religious pairings, coworkers, schoolmates, arranged marriages, friends who became lovers, and oddly transactional relationships with mutual benefits all seem to statistically work.

If you look at human history and different cultures, they had all sorts of mating relationships that would be considered weird, predatory, whatever modern blue pilled muppets want to call it: but it created families. Modern dating doesn’t create families, it creates a hedonistic culture with little to show for it besides short term pleasure.
