From adolescence through our mid-20s, our brains, especially the prefrontal cortex, continue developing, refining how we process emotions and social interactions. But what happens when young men miss out on romantic and sexual experiences during this critical period?

It’s a chicken-and-egg problem: Are men bad with women because women don’t like them?... Or do women not like them because they’re bad with women?

I’d argue it’s both. We often discuss how socially inept men struggle to date, but rarely do we talk about how lack of experience itself prevents them from developing key social skills.

We know early sexual initiation can lead to negative outcomes (depression, risky behavior, unstable relationships). Yet the opposite extreme, no romantic/sexual experience, also has consequences:

  • Stunted emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills
  • Viewing women as either authority figures (mothers, teachers, bosses) or purely sexual objects (maybe this is why milf/cougar/step-mom incest porn has become so popular?)
  • Poor conflict resolution (interacting with women requires different skills than male only dynamics)

Why Should Women Care?

Because society is becoming increasingly gender-mixed, even restrooms are going non-gendered. Women will interact with these men, not as romantic partners, but as coworkers, classmates, and peers. If men don't interact with women intimately to understand their psyche, they will inevitably see women from an undesired perspective in more professional/casual settings.

And here’s the kicker: Rising sexlessness correlates with growing political divides between young men and women. Coincidence? Maybe. But a society that forces gender integration while widening ideological rifts is playing with fire.
