If you’re not aware, the Tea app is currently #1 on the Apple App Store, and its mission is to warn women about bad men in their area when dating. Think of something like “Are we dating the same guy (city)” but on steroids.

On the app, women can anonymously upload photos, conversations, and descriptions about a guy they’ve presumedly had a romantic encounter or relationship with. From there, other women can read the post, comment, and assign a green or red flag to the guy. I’ve seen many examples where multiple women have allegedly dated the same guy, and reported their experiences. For example, if a guy puts his hands on women, they can compile different pieces of evidence essentially guarantee he won’t be getting dates from any women who saw that post.

In theory, this sounds like a great idea, but in my opinion women are abusing it. In just my circle, I have already heard of multiple guys I know getting posted on the app. One was accused of being secretly gay because of something he liked to do in the bed room, the other was claimed to be manipulative - with no evidence. While I’m all for exposing pieces of shit, this app to me reeks of salty women who had a situation that didn’t work out MOSTLY. A lot of things I see on social media regarding this app are clearly attempts at defamation as well.
