As a single guy pushing 30, I have realized that there is pretty much nowhere I can go, free of charge, to just 'hangout,' and it not be awkward, unless I just want to read a book at the library. Public/social life is designed for couples, families, and women. That is why everyone of my attempts to "put myself out there" and "touch grass" have left me feeling even more lonely and isolated than before.

The harsh truth is that if you are a single male past a certain age, no one wants you around. You are viewed as an unwanted nuisance at best, and dangerous vermin at worst. I have heard many lonely guys say that they hate going outside, because all they see are couples. Well, of course, that is because all the single guys are rotting in their basements and apartments, because the public/social realm is hostile to their presence, and more or less closed off to them.

It irks me to no end when red-pillers tell young guys "just focus on money, gym, travel, and self improovement brah, and the women will come later." Or "you'll lose money chasing women, but you'll never lose women chasing money brah." No, it does not work like that. This is some outdated boomer advice if I've ever heard it. Your dating life is an extension of your social life, and once you are out of school, infiltrating a social circle, or building one from scratch, becomes next to impossible. No, you are not going to wrap yourself up in a solitary self-improovement cocoon, and emerge as a social butterfly with tons of friends and dates. As a single adult male, you are unwanted by everyone.

You can be as wealthy, charming, fit, well groomed, well dressed, and good looking as you want, if you are a lonely isolated bastard, it hardly matters. You will be reduced to dumpster diving on one of those horrid dating apps, most likely banging your head against a brick wall getting nowhere.

Life for a single guy is not like that show 'Friends.' It is more like 'Taxi Driver,' or 'The Joker.'
