Think about it. okcupid and match.com are two of the oldest dating sites on the internet. This isn't 50 WEIRD college students in a lab somewhere. This is men and women in their homes, out and about, comfortable, showing you how they really behave. The original subtitle of Dataclysm is: Who We Are (When We Think No One's Looking).

Okcupid has redesigned several times. They used to rate by looks and personality. Then it was simply a 5 star system. Then a "like" system. It went from a total profile driven website, to a swipe based app from 2005 to present day. That's 20 years for the data to change! Yet is hasn't changed. Swipe apps invented in 2012 made a mass exodus AWAY FROM profile driven okcupid and match.com to PICTURE ONLY SHORT PROFILE Tinder. People migrated away from personality websites like okcupid and drove straight to looks based Tinder. You wonder why okcupid has changed so much? That's why.

I keep dreaming about the Chadlite days of my early 20s to mid 20s. Im struggling now with dating because I look average after hitting a "mini wall" after a messy relationship. I dont have a good full time job since I'm studying comp sci right now. Back then, it was so easy to get a woman's attention even when I was unemployed. I used feel like I could do no wrong. Now its snail pace torture, even amongst women in my age group(late 20s, early 30s). Im contemplating doing a few cosmetic procedures this year to get as close as I can to what I look like in my early 20s. Which includes facial fat transfer to restore my cheeks, Facetite(RF skin tightening treatments) to restore my sexy ass jawline and a few rounds pf prp mocroneedling to regain some youthful glow. All in all, it could cost me 8-10 grand in total. I think it's worth it at this point. Lookism is everywhere. At this point, if you don't have the looks or above average income or game, dating is going to be very hard.

Can we talk hair? I’m just back from the salon where extreme conditioning and restorative efforts have been resumed. It’s still breaking like straw off my head. I’ve colored permed, bleached & dyed forever and never seen anything like this damage…really surprised to learn it was caused by a bout of dengue fever months ago. Are you hygienic? Brush your tongue. You want people to want to kiss you and not look at you and think “yuck.” Keep your nails clean and short. Wipe the spittle from the corners of your mouth. Expel the grease from your nose! We can all see it!
Do you groom? Moisturize your dry ashy skin! Lotion up! Do you want people to want to caress and rub up against you or not? Tend to your nose hairs, ear hairs, and neckbeard. What is your facial hair giving? Is it sexy?
Do you smell good?
Have you optimized a style that works for you? Clothing and a sense of self in your style is not only aesthetically pleasing but generally attractive.
Is your hair cut attractive for your face and vibe? Are you doing what you can to enhance the good features you do have?
Circling back to do you smell good? Find a signature scent! I’ve hugged a man I didn’t overly think about as anything other than NPC before and found myself wanting to nestle into his body because he smelled so damn tasty!

I do tend to believe the sentiment that men have a little bit more variety of types than women just based on my personal experience.

I’m tall and thick and my best friend is short and thin. We both can find men that are into our certain type in any given situation.

My girls and I have different types in men-but they aren’t THAT different a lot of the features are still similar just with a few minor tweaks. Like my friend may like tattooed guys I like blue collar but they’re both fit, tall, strong jawline exc.

Yes there are some outliers as I do know some girlies that love the chubby bearded look for sure but I’d just say in general mens “types varies a bit more

Looks are a basis for a hookup, not a relationship. We are in this weird situation now where women are interested in men only for their looks, then cry when they don't want a relationship with them.

It used to be that women were the ones crying about men only wanting them for their looks and rejected men on that basis. Now it seems men are doing the same. The whole red pill realization is that looks matter way more than personality, and this leads directly to the spin plates mentality.
