Why do women often prefer dad bods over six-packs?

It seems that in many interviews with young women, when asked about their preference between dad bods and six-packs, a significant number lean towards dad bods.

Is this preference genuinely about the physical appearance of dad bods, or does it stem from the perception that men with dad bods are more likely to be stable, secure long-term partners and less likely to be non-committal?
