Why do women friends share sexual encounters so freely with their sexually frustrated friends?

IDK, but I don't do this with my female friends and find it off putting when other women do it around me. Most of my friends are married. To me, it's a matter of healthy boundaries and I do not understand this type of girl talk.

Certain parts of your relationship should stay in your relationship. Not everyone needs to know everything. I wouldn't want my partner talking about that part of our lives or my body to their friends. Why would I do the same to them?

Because that’s what she’d do with her girl friends. If she sees you as a platonic friend, that’s how she’ll treat you.

Because this is what some women do with their girl friends/gay guy friends, and since you’re a platonic friend, she doesn’t see that much difference.

If a woman were like “Why do my guy friends burp and fart and talk about hot chicks in front of me? I might be a friend but I’m a LADY,” I might question if she should really have guy friends since it sounds more like she’s looking for a girl friend, or at least guy friends who are a little more reserved. You might also want to consider if you really enjoy having female friends, or at least this type of female friends.

I don't do that, my private business stays private. People have shared with me and they seem to think it's like anything else, they played some football yesterday then later they had a nice hookup. If I'm planning on speaking to them again, saying politely I'm not comfortable talking about that works fine, I suggest you do the same if it bothers you.

Personally, I have never done this. But I will say that if you both agree to be friends, then she will treat you like one. This means she will talk about other guys to you as if you were another one of her female friends. If you do not like this then stop being her friend.

A lot of women talk about sex with their friends. I know a LOT of details about my friends’ sex lives, while my husband knows basically nothing about the sex life of his male friends. I would definitely NOT talk about sex if a friend was uncomfortable—your friends should really be asking you first, but I would express to them that you’re not comfortable with this subject if you haven’t done that already.

My husband (a straight man) actually enjoys that his female friends are more open to talking about private/intimate things, so it’s definitely true that ‘no straight man’ wants to hear about any woman’s sex life.

Because you’re her friend. Friends share things with one another. However, if you’d like to be with her/have sex with her, you can’t wait for her to have consideration for your feelings, it’s up to you to set boundaries about certain conversations and opt out of the friendship when those boundaries aren’t respected, or don’t stay friends with a woman you secretly want. I’m still navigating this myself, had to distance myself and go low contact with a woman I have feelings for so I can keep my sanity and heart safe.

It's them talking to you like a friend. We discuss things with our friends even gross or personal stuff.

We don't think of you as a straight friend because the lack of attraction is assumed. And to the degree you're sexually frustrated unless we know and are trying to be delicate with you...we wouldn't even think of it.

Use your big boy voice and tell them. And if they're upset that's ok. They are allowed to want to discuss things

This isn’t a thing all women do. It’s something that your friends do. I don’t have these types of conversations with my friends but to each their own.

If that is a typical type of conversation in your friend group then they are treating you the same as they would their other friends regardless of gender.

If it bothers you then communicate that it makes you uncomfortable.

I talk about lots of things with my friends that they don't experience. I have a friend who wants to have cats, but can't because she's allergic, and I chat about the antics my cats get into. My friends chat about events they went to that I would have liked to attend, but wasn't able to.

It's likely that she didn't see it as "bragging", just casual conversation about what she's been up to lately. Especially with how women often are told that men like to chat to each other about their sexual encounters: even if men don't actually do that, women often think men do, so figure "He must want me to chat about that sort of thing". (And I have actually heard men chat with each other about their latest lay or whatnot).

My confusion is why women so often brag about sexual history to these friend.

The woman that do this do so to the majority of their friends. They are treating u exactly how they treat all their friends, men, women, gay, straight, asexual, bi doesn't really matter a friend is a friend and that's how she treats her friends. She treats her friends equally and she is the same in all groups. Some women don't mold themselves differently based on which friend she's around, gay man, straight man, bi woman etc.

Women tend to talk a lot about everything. They like to be detail oriented and externally process stuff.

That's kind of just what they do and who they are.

If u are sensitive to the topic u have to tell them, u don't like it u have to tell them or else they won't know. Try to verbally disrupt the status quo, try saying

' I don't want to hear this or i don't want you to tell me stuff like this '.

I talk more about sex with male friends than my female ones because they're usually people I've fucked anyway. Who cares lol, they've seen me naked multiple times. And they tell me about their sex lives. It's fun to talk about sometimes

I share everything with my friends. I'm open and transparent as fuck. I am also the heaux friend of the group. So my friends tend to live vicariously through me. It's honestly really fun seeing their reactions to my sexscapades.

I've always been open like this with my friends. If I don't talk about things like this with you, there's a problem and it means I don't trust you.
