I apologize if this is not allowed because I’m not a man but I wanted to express how much reading the posts here has helped me.

I’ve been married for 15 years and my wife suddenly dropped the divorce bomb on me in late February. She moved out in April. It was the most devastating thing I’ve ever gone though. The paralysis, the agony, not being able to come to terms with what happened, nightmares. I’ve tried to find comfort in my friends and joining some divorce spaces but I see so many women post about how divorce is this big reward for them and it’s a new beginning, as if it’s some weird prize to win in life. in many of these posts, I’ve noticed a pattern that there is very little accountability. Its all “my husband was awful“ and never about where they fucked up. And seeing that stuff is really invalidating right now.

I’ve gone through many posts on here, and I’ve related to so many sentiments that you dudes have expressed. I also feel completely broken and devastated, while my partner is out there essentially living her best life (or wants to seem like it).
