As a minority supporter, one who agrees with the premise but not with how a lot of the users interpret TRP, I just wanted to vent at how I hate how the TRP is viewed.

I hate the female shit test, I hate how guys bow down for females when they threaten sex, I hate how people think they are owed something, I hate how girls expect to be princesses by adding nothing to a relationship.

I am not a rape advocate. I am not an abuse advocate. I have treated every girl I have been with, with respect. I was raised by a very loving mother and a very loving sister whom I respect.

Just because I understand a 6 cannot get a 10, prince charming is fictional, and girls thinking they can "train" me is laughable, does not make me the scum of the Earth.

TRP is like a doctor; not everybody likes a doctor's job. I read the article and was saddened by the way the whole sub was effectively tarred with the same brush.

The sub is big enough that a wide variety of views can be expressed, and it's fair to say some of them are unsavoury. There are lively debates on all kinds of topics, not all of them appeal to me personally.

And I've seen plenty of threads condemning hatred of women, resentment towards women, or bitterness. More often than not outright nastiness towards women gets downvoted.

Most men discover TRP when looking for answers after painful break-ups, divorce, or when they're unable to meet their relationship goals. Some are confused, some want to learn more, but unfortunately some are angry and bitter, and with the anonymity the internet offers, they feel able to express themselves here. Emotions can run high, and as horrible as it is, it's sadly part of life here.

We can't stop someone determined to find the worst of this sub, but we can make sure, through judicious use of upvotes and downvotes, that the nastiness is the exception and not the rule here.
