For men there is really only one pool - the male population is bifurcated between men who are able to get women (i.e. the only men in the pool) and those who aren't (assuming you're aiming for roughly your looks match).

The confusion comes in when women try to claim that men should stop aiming for casual sex or super model women - they don't realize or don't care that in actuality the requirements for casual sex are the same for getting a relationship - you meet the cutoff in attractiveness, money (age dependent), and social status. If you fail at getting a relationship you will fail at getting casual sex. If you fail at getting casual sex you will fail at getting a relationship.

In the real world things are quite that discrete of course but it's largely true. Women don't have the perspective to realize there aren't two markets for men.

I think the real myth is that making a guy wait or not wait has something to do with intense sexual attraction and nothing else. In some cases sure that could be case but generally speaking it really does not. Most of the time waiting for sex is a conscious choice whereas having sex quickly is an impulsive one. Therefore the factors that influence such behavior have a lot more to do with maturity, substance abuse (lets be real most casual sex involves use of alcohol and/or drugs), or emotional issues. People who choose to wait usually do so in spite of their desire men who make posts like this act like no woman could want to have sex with a man yet choose not to. Lol yes if women were literal animals I guess this would be a great assessment but we actually are able to rise above our base instincts and guess what? Men can do that too. It’s called being a rational and conscious being. This idea that says “the only reason she isn’t having sex with you is she isn’t attracted to you” literally only makes sense if you believe women are incapable of self control.

I strongly disagree with this notion and would argue the contrary. That if you want a good relationship, you should wait more that 3 dates for sex for multiple reasons but the main one being that fucking somebody you just met is a primal urge and does not constitute having a healthy mindset or respect for that person.

First, I don't think that every woman has sex within three dates, although I'm sure the majority of western women do now. Certainly not women from other non-western countries, though. And TRP is supposed to apply to universal statements about women worldwide rather than just women from "sexually liberated" western countries.

Second, having sex on the third date and having it after just meeting a guy the same night are two fundamentally different things. A woman gets to know a guy much better through the course of three dates, and in between those dates these dates they are probably texting back and forth getting to know each other, too. A woman having sex with a complete stranger is a whole different thing, and something that a certain type of guy can pull off easier than a guy who is able to have third date sex with a woman.

Third, RMV is also about the ability to keep a relationship maintained and being able to keep a partner happy and interested, both romantically and sexually. There are many guys who have high SMV, but who have poor RMV once women find out that they're not as interesting in or good at relationships as other guys. There are also guys who are poor at attracting a woman for casual sex, but who are good relationship material for a woman (they are likely a good mix of alpha attraction and beta provider/support qualities rather than being pure alpha guys).

However when people talk about different markets I think they mean more in terms of how your value is measured. So its possible your value could be noticeably higher in the relationship market vs the casual sex market or vice versa. Its the same women in each market but how those women measure your value in one market vs the other can be different.
