Disappointing women can be very difficult particularly for young guys because not only do they typically experience a strong pull to give women what they want, but they also generally do not have a great deal of options with women. This lack of optionality with women engenders a scarcity mentality, and this scarcity mentality leads them to erroneously believe that if they don't say yes to their women all of the time, their refusal is going to jeopardize the foundational basis of the relationship(you can see it clearly in all those paternity fraud threads).

It's very important to disappoint women, because the more the woman likes you, the more that she's interested in you, the more she's going to want more of you. Women don't typically love like men do. A woman's love is typically more consumptive. A woman in love wants everything, she wants all of your time, all of your attention, and if she could, she would crawl inside of your head so she can know all of your thoughts and feelings and monopolize your existence. In as many ways as possible, a woman in love wants to put you inside of her, so that's consumptive feminine love (especially in the honeymoon phase). It can be flattering, sure, but it’s also a trap.

To maintain a relationship with a woman you have to maintain a level of attraction. And to maintain a high level of attraction, you need to continue being the guy she fell in love with. It can be flattering that a woman can be so interested in you that she would want so much of you, and that it can be distressing to see her disappointed in her wanting but you cannot let her desire for you to diminish your lifestyle.

Giving up your habits and lifestyle for a woman will not only mean that you loose the things that you surrender but also the woman as well. Women are complicated. Like all people, women want to get what they want, but also on some level they don't want to get what they want. If a woman succeeds in getting what she wants from you all too often, whether she's aware of it or not, she's going to start to feel likes she's more powerful than you.

And that is going to start to make her feel unsafe. Why? Because if a man can't hold the line with her (who really isn't that big of a threat) how is he going to be able to hold the line with someone else who may legitimately be threatening. A man who can appropriately hold the line against her consumptive love communicates that he is centred in his masculine purpose and that he can tolerate her distress at being disappointed and that he is more powerful than she is which actually allows her to relax in the relationship. This is because women's need to feel safe often leads them to do some pretty counterintuitive things like shacking up with dangerous bad boys or provoking men to fight with them.

Women like to test how much they can get away with which means that sometimes they'll even ask for some pretty unreasonable things just to see if you have the spine to turn them down. Disappointing them essentially reminds them that she is not driving the ship. It is unfortunately the case that some women, especially more immature women can do a lot of inappropriate things when disappointed. Things like throwing a temper tantrum, or hurling insults, or keeping score in bitterness, or withdrawing affection etc. And don't you think it is important to figure out if you're dealing with this type of woman early in the relationship .

It's better to learn this in the first 5 weeks than the first 5 months, or God help you the first 5 years. And this is because continuing in a relationship with such a woman basically means that you'll constantly need to confirm to her expectations of reality or suffer the consequences. A lot of men are nervous about disappointing women because they are afraid that doing so will make less interested in having a relationship with them.

TL;DR: To keep a woman attracted, you have to disappoint her. If you give her everything she wants, she’ll lose respect for you and might even cheat. Women don’t actually want what they say they want; they need a man who knows when to say no.Nice guys finish last because they give in to every demand, losing their edge and respect.
