Well, from my own experiments, it works, and their hypotheses have high predictive power compared to the alternatives.

You may have qualms with it, (I do so too) but the fact is that empirical data is king, even if you disagree and reality shown that they are up to something. Not entirely correct, I am sure, but closer to it than the alternatives I am aware.

Also, you seem to have big gaps in your knowledge of the red pill, and a serious case of generalization/misinformation. It does not help your cause, and in fact may even help TRP.

I think that trp provides a package of 'tools' to interpret a reality that was always there and frankly quite obvious. I personally found some of these tools useful (e.g. being 'nice' is counterproductive) but I don't agree with other elements, e.g. those that involve politics.

Some of it is okay. They stress independence and self care from what I can read, and both of those are great. A lot of what makes a functioning adult boils down to independence and self care.

The reason TRP is "common sense" now is because it dared to speak against the accepted narrative of a decade ago.

TRP has been massively successful in improving the lives of men, and its readership has grown tremendously. Detractors of TRP hated this. But rather than admit that they were both wrong and indifferent to the problems of men, they just moved the goal post.

"Well yeah, it's all just common sense."

TRP turned it into common sense by circulating useful knowledge, while you were telling guys to just "be themselves".

You've essentially started another argument between pua and red pill. Red pill is about seeing the objective reality of society and understanding it, pua is about pussy the two aren't the same.

Yes red pill focuses heavily on relationships and in particular relationships between men and women, what you need to do now is prove the red pill arguments with regards to how women behave and how men support that behaviour false, when there are countless studies along with tons of evidence and anecdotal evidence that correlates to the studies conducted.

Then you'll be able to make an argument that the red pill theories are either correct or not, however you're still going to have a problem to deal with which is this.

The red pill theories apply in a general sense, they aren't specific to each case, for example if a woman is giving you a shit test and you recognise it as such you then have the option of how you deal with it. Either play and lose or not but what if you are in a situation where you're with somebody and she doesn't give these shit tests, do you try to give her one yourself just to cause an issue. Men have done that and woken up to realise they alone destroyed their relationship through their behaviour.

Well then you can't blame red pill theory for that, that's on you.

It's a grey area, which is probably why you say "mostly" nonsense. I agree that a lot of it is nonsense - I don't think "all women are like that" (people in general are complex), I don't believe that all women are looking to monkey branch (I think women in general are more interested in stable long term relationships than men), marriage isn't the scam that TRP portrays it (just don't marry down), etc.

But there's a lot of uncomfortable truths in TRP also. It's a reaction and pushback to some of the common narratives out there, and it provides useful education for young men. Women aren't all sugar and spice. Young women are generally unreceptive to the average young man but heavily interested in the top 20% of men. The 80-20 rule applies in the dating game. So a young man is better off improving himself rather than trying to appeal to women by putting the pussy on a pedestal. Young men do tend to overinvest in relationships. Women are turned off by an overly eager pursuer. Young men are generally too thirsty for sex and don't understand a lot of the things that motivate women.

I have mixed feelings on TRP, and don't even know if I would have wanted to be exposed to it as a young man. I was a typical sap as a young man - strong mother who taught me to respect women, etc., and who seemed to be more worried about teaching me to respect women, rather than teaching me to protect myself. I got burned way too many times and had to re-educate myself. Now, I have great relationships with women, but only because I've learned to view women critically and set very clear boundaries. I think TRP teaches that, but it errs on the side of becoming misogynistic.

I'm not red pill and I think r.p. often goes too far and oversimplifies. However, red pill was called into existence to be an antithesis to blue pill advice, which was explaining reality for men with even less accuracy.

R.p. advice is more than just common sense. Shit tests and the importance of maintaining frame at certain times are things you will encounter as a man that b.p. advice won't prepare you for. The idea that dating reality may differ from what women say it is or should be isn't addressed by b.p. either.

I agree with a good bit of what you said, however quite a lot of elements of it are valid and very useful to know. Even if a lot of those elements are common sense some people still benefit from it because common sense isn't quite as common as it should be, and it's not always so easy to implement it, speaking from my own experience.

Now I wouldn't say it's quite as great as red pill proponents claim it is, I hate the cult attitude some people have about it, and all the generalisations and pseudo science about masculinity and women, and some Red Pill 'leaders' are pretty shady in general(even if some can be very convincing and bring valid points). So yeah, it's far from being perfect but it can be very useful if you don't take it too seriously.

The wild generalizations are true of many degenerate women. This is mostly applicable to big city people. Universal truths are there in personal anecdotes, but people are just too specific about it. “Feel good ideology?” Not really. It’s the red pill, which is to say that you must face the truth, not every man is successful but to have elements of Redpill in your head gets you further and gives you a better sense of direction than Bluepill. “Cult behavior” my ass, there are differing ideologies and approaches in TRP.

Well, there are plenty of ways you could back this up. One really easy source to point to right now is the whorite culture in the US and in the general West. This applies to liberal/centrist women in left wing dominated cities, where degeneracy is accepted and self-control is thrown out the window. They’re more or less nut dispensaries until they turn around 30, when they either decide to continue being so or trying to find someone to ‘settle with’. This is also derived from MGTOW (which, let’s be real here, is the most correct piece of the Red Pill ideology).

Agree completely. I was fascinated with PUA as a kid. I missed the mass shift to trp but a lot of it feels like background explanations to PUA tactics that were pseudo science in the first place. Most of the successes just come from the fact that these guys put themselves out there until they hooked somebody. There's a lot of ways to make an omlette. I guess trp offers a sense of hope to guys who otherwise would've just had to accept "I'm ugly, that's it". The way in which it's set up, it's very attractive to unsuccessful guys because it comes across almost like a tiny online education you just have to take, pass and then you'll get laid; it's nice and specific, doesn't leave anything for you to have to figure out yourself. Simply put, it offers a (possibly false?) sense of control to a guy who feels like all his interactions with women are completely out of his control and usually not falling out in his favour.

I guess it could work for a guy whose main problem mostly is that he comes across too desperate, intense, needy, doormat-ish, etc. Or a guy who hadn't up until then realised that working out and looking your best appeals to the opposite gender (but who the hell wouldn't know that already?)

The problem is that these little helpful parts and the allure of the aforementioned sense of control and power, ropes you in for all the rest. A more naive guy wouldn't be able to take the little bits that work without getting sucked into all the other things that don't. He might start to subscribe to the black-and-white mindset that prevails on trp and fuck both himself and a possible partner up mentally. I mean, I've read about guys who strained so fucking hard not to show vulnerability with their girlfriend in a moment where he should've just been able to talk to the woman he loves and who loves him, but he won't because of this misguided idea that she'll immediately lose all attraction if he does. That's fucking ridiculous, what's the point of the relationship anyway, then? If you can't be a real human being with the person you're with for real human care and affection? Kids nowadays are fed a lot of bullshit ... like being told, "We're just playing for fun, not for keeps, and no one's keeping score." That doesn't really prepare you for real life, where everyone is keeping score all of the time. There are no participation trophies IRL.

So modern kids probably need a good dose of RP to help counteract the bullshit they've been fed.

I agree that much of TRP is common sense - but many young men are taught leftist feminist BS all their lives and have beliefs that are contrary to common sense. These RP teachings are eye opening!

I also agree that some people take RP way too far into crazy conclusions. TRP should not be hateful to women, against marriage, etc. true RP loves women, is open to marriage, and is about self improvement.
